I think it's just the anjanath stuff. Good elemental resistance but it was worse than my current armor and I'm only hr 14
Please tell me that's not the fully upgraded bow. It can't be, right? It's only rarity 5 and it's about on par with the Tobi Bow when it's two upgrades away from being complete.
If a bow doesn't come with power coating and it isn't the Great Hunter's Bow, why bother with it?
Didn't realize there was a bow. That's actually not too bad. It's just the armor that's mediocre.
Was there a secret update that added things like being covered in ice when you get frosted by Legiana, and glowing red from buffs like peak performance? I dont remember that shit till today, haha.
Upgraded Aloy bow. I'm not a bow user so I don't know how this compares to other late game bows.
Better I guess. Still no power coating so lol. What's the point of all of that affinity if there's no power coating? Crit Status for poison (the worst status in the game)? Only using close range coating?

Please Capcom, if you aren't going to make these armors and weapons viable for the endgame (you know, the place where a lot of people are right now) then at least give us transmog.

Maybe once I get some excess shaft streamstones I'll throw some 3x slot for normal up or maybe just go affinity and a 2x slot for critical boost
Edit:... Actually would only need 2x slot anyway for normal up since the mighty bow can be swapped into the created slot... actually I only have 2 weakness exploit wups

Once you reach red (max charge) then you can do the helmbreaker right away. No need to fill up the gauge all the way again.
last night i say to myself "one more quest before i go to sleep" so i hunt Teostra, and never before for the first time i got 2 gem carve consecutively, i stop playing after that quest while counting my luck.
6 is actually good damn. i'm pretty sure I saw my first teo gem at like hunt #10-15

can anyone confirm you can get Great Jagras Claw+ in high rank? ive done more than 10 invenstigation and not even one drop, either this game trolling me hard or my game is bugged.
So the only weapon I can't find a good flow for is the Gunlance. It has a decent power combo that's easy to pull off but I'm not really sure how to mix in pokes and the normal shelling in there. Kinda just feels like a more clumsy Lance due to lack of counter but I suppose counter is kindof a crutch. Also kindof annoying how I have to use a sharp jewel and quick sharpening to keep any kind of decent sharpness for more then 2 or 3 combos.
Edit: Also Great Jagras Claw + is totally a thing. Desire sensor just got a bad hold of you. Watch when you start getting them they will flow like water (or salt :P)

the "+" indicates a high rank material, but you should check the hunter's notes. Break those forelegs.
I can understand if its a gem or plate or horn, but this is claw of the lowest monster you can get >.< and yeah i always break them.
I really can't believe that this event armor is not only such a low level that its basically useless, but that its not just skin like the samurai outfit.

So like in MH generations, once I discovered elemental rapid fire peircing, I have become a god.

So is there some trick to getting one on one time with monsters you're hunting? I just unlocked Elder's Recess and up until now it's been a simple matter of hanging back and letting the monsters fight it out for a while but in this area I basically constantly get unwanted visitors and it's not uncommon to have 3 large monsters in the same room, most of them going after me for whatever reason.
It doesnt help that one of them is Bazelgeuse and I just randomly faint if he swoops in and I get unlucky.

It's a marketing deal ... If they made it high rank only, a lot of people would never even get it ... (think of the masses not the 0.5% here at era ...). Sure, they could have made two sets, one low one high rank, but that's just too much for ps4 exclusive content. It's a just for fun thing.
Layered Armor would be a option, but ... Aloys everywhere? I don't know if I could stand that ... These things, like the Watcher suit, Aloy, the upcoming mega man palico outfit or ryu are just fun things and shouldn't be taken seriously ... seriously.

Lance is all about sustained damage, it have Counter abilities, better Guard capability (thanks to Power Guard), and high mobility. The playstyle generally involves turning your Defense into Offense using the Counter abilities, and poking non-stop at the monster.
While Gunlance is all about that burst damage, it have Full Burst shelling, high damaging combo, WyvernFire, Wyrmfire stake. The playstyle generally involves finding a good opening to unleash all of that because Gunlance is much slower and have long recovery time between attack.
I love your style. It reminds me of Samurai Jack, but with a greater level of detail.
Yesertday was the luckiest I've ever been with gems. Needed a Rathian Ruby, got one instantly, and got an Uragaan and Odogaraan gem without even looking for them.
Now I only need like 10 wyvern gems, some hero stones already (not a single one so far) and some actually good decorations like guard, weakness exploit, capacity, or crit boost. (I won't get any of those for a long ass time...)
That being said I needed 69 tries once for another gem to drop and when I did a tempered Odo quest yesterday it suddendly threw a gem at me when I wasn't even looking for one lol.

Tempered quests aren't as good for gem farming because you don't have any silver/gold rewards and decoration slots instead.

Me neither. Obviously it's for marketing but it's just such a wasted effort gameplay-wise. I've never seen anyone with promo gear, not even the Link one on 3DS.
Wait? You can't use Aloy as a skin? What's the point. They should let ppl use these special costumes as skins at least.
I've seen people use the fire emblem set iirc in 4u to make themselves look like Guts from Berserk.
If/When they introduce transmogging this will not be an issue for people
I got a lot of Wyvern gems (like 10 or more) from the Wildspire Bolero Event (Quest completion rewards), sometimes even two. Now that I have all 10 gold crowns for these Monsters this would be the only reason why I'd do that again ...
The spikes Nerg crashes with his dive fly all around and hit hard ...
Nerg shots off his spikes when he hit the ground in that dive move, that's what killed you. The moment you see him about to do it, you should unsheathe and superman jump to avoid it. You can tell he's about to do it when he has a lot of black spikes, so start taking you distance to avoid getting caught in the roar > dive combo.
