-8°C in Paris this morning. It's already enough to make me regret not being able to work from my home.

I can't imagine -25 or -30.

Snowy as fuck here in south east England. Hopefully wont be windy tomorrow as got shit to do.

how south and east are you? We had some flurries in central london yesterday morning but that cleared quickly. At home in Windsor there was almost nothing all day. Just really cold air which is hardly different to what we had a few weeks ago.

I'd say I was disappointed but if it snowed much the trains would shit themselves

Eastern Spain is betwwen 5-10ºC and shitty rain all week, that is basically the worst we can get here, basically and everyday day if this was the UK lol
And of course, once it rains even a little people dont even know how to drive here.
I havent seen snow in my city in my 30 years living here.

It's friggin snowing!

Pass us a little bit of that snow, I would prefer it to this shitty drab rain lol

Canterbury. its a couple of inches of snow and all of it has stuck. Thankfully it's only -2 and not windy so it's not that cold, and my Uni lectures were all canceled.

Shelves cleared and 35 minute queues in supermarkets. This is the UK for you.

"Panic buyers have rushed to supermarkets amid fears the 'Beast from the East' snowstorm will bring the country to a halt.

Pictures show bare shelves and huge queues as shoppers stocked up as the brutal weather front closes in.
Charlotte Day was at the Tesco Extra branch in Gillingham, Kent, when she snapped photos of the excessive queues as she tried to pay for a box of porridge.

The 24-year-old said shelves had been cleared of bread and other essentials in scenes usually only seen in the run up to Christmas.

There were queues of at least 35 minutes despite the county only seeing a mild dusting of snow so far."

As someone who lives in Finland, this is fucking ridiculous lol
The same goes for closing your airports in a blizzard hahah LOL Like I don't know if that has EVER happened here or in other nordic countries.
The rest of Europe need's to step up their snow game.

Panic buying in Wales. Over 100 schools closed, lots of road closures.

It's only -4 with 1 overnight light snow.

We can't handle this shit.
People in my office are already planning their route home because of the apparent "snow storm" we're getting in a few hours. I rather will take my experience of Welsh weather for many years to realise nothing will probably happen.

-8 here in France ( north-east ), that's ok.

Yeah, slightly under 0° isn't really the end of the world. It's cold winter weather, but nothing dramatic. I remember winter of 1985 when all lakes were frozen (ice skating !) and many old houses had issues with water pipes bursting from frozen water. Now that was a mess.

It barely reaches -8 here (Netherlands) at night with no snow, I'm not sure what people are complaining about. Seems people are getting used to the rising temperatures of the last decade.

It's fucking cold around Amsterdam, but nothing too bad. Don't care too much though, because I'm leaving tomorrow for a month long trip to Central America. I feel like shit atm though. Runny nose and coughing my lungs up. Hopefully some Panamanian sun will cure whatever is ailing me right now.

Quite heavy snow in South East England (North Kent). Stopped now but around 2 inches. Roads seem treacherous. Didn't see any gritters on the roads even though everyone knew this weather was coming. Hopefully will clear by Thursday.

-6° C here in Belgium, so the 30 minute bike ride to work this morning was chilly! Especially the wind is making it feel much colder..

Panic here in Naples, Italy, it usually snows once every 5 years or so but today was the second consecutive day of snow and everyone went nuts.

Man, taking the car from home yesterday was a challenge. Snow all over the driveway followed by perhaps 2-3 meters sight range while driving. At least there's no snowstorm going on today!

Pretty heavy snow in Midlands UK this morning... but it's sunny now and most of the snow has melted. It's not too cold, considering.

The December snow was much worse.

this morning's drive to the station was fun. Cold, but dry so the car seemed clear. Drove off and the windscreen iced over as I got up to speed.

Well, it's expensive. For example snow clearing equipment usually just sits in the depot in summer when there's no snow. I mean it is cost effective to have them in Finland, because the country would just basically halt for few months during the winter without them. But just have them standing around for the off chance there'll be snow for few days once every few years is just not worth it.

Of course being a Finn myself the responces to cold weather do seem a bit funny. Where I live the average temperature is below freezing for 5 months and there's snow on average 154 days a year. But that is basically the point, it's normal for us.

Hey - you aren't all perfect angels either. If you get a sudden cold snap out of season you can get stuck running around in your summer tyres

(it does make our entire country shutting down with one flake of snow a joke though)

5ºC over here, but with predicted temperatures of about 16ºC in two days and seeing how it has been a especially hot winter I'll gladly take a little bit of cold weather.

Doesn't surprise me. We've had media hype for days (unless you're in the middle of the Highlands or something there's not much to worry about), and just think how busy supermarkets are on Boxing Day buying bread and milk after they've been shut for a single god damn day. At least the store manager will be happy.

Yeah rest of the europe should plan their infrastructure for those couple of blizzards every decade right.

And we do get flying changes because of bad weather all the time, you must not fly very much.
