Interesting. Will be curious to hear if that report was just complete nonsense. Would be funny if PR people got something like that wrong about their own game.
I think Kingdom Come says no hdr and isn't but has a listing in their settings that labels iself HDR. So confusion seems to abound lately with that.

I'm actually more interested in the Motorcross game than Gravel. That game looks absolutely phenomenal.

It's certainly worth a look if you're interested in a supercross game. I would only caution people slightly because it definitely seems like you need to learn to use the right analog stick to lean into turns, etc, and that can be a tough learning curve for some people. It took me a good hour or two to really get comfortable with it, but now I'm having a great time.

Also, just keep in mind Monster Energy Supercross is literally a supercross game. There are not giant outdoor tracks where you fly over huge hills and through giant outdoor environments. It's track after track from the actual supercross tour that takes place in various stadiums/arenas around the U.S and Canada.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I kinda expected it to be mostly indoors with official tracks and not much else. But the game looks so good and there's nothing like it in the market. I wish there was a demo though. Also I thought Gravel was Xbox/PC exclusive for some reason so I kinda forgot about it.

I've had my eye on this one, because I had a lot of fun with Sega Rally and the first three Dirt games. Good to hear it's fun.

It shouldn't be. HDR was already available for MotoGP 17 on PlayStation 4. This one might get HDR support with an update on launch day if it's not there already.

That's HDR rendering for the engine itself, it's been around since Half-Life 2: Lost Coast. It doesn't have to do with support of HDR displays.

This has all my favorite classic rally cars included , hope the season pass is good.
Smash up races are terrible though.

Yeah I had to redo some of those a few times, they're not great especially when you have to use a certain car class. Have finished the career mode with everything unlocked, really had alot of fun. Looking forward to more online races!

Sorry, but I'm still confused. Does Gravel have HDR support on PS4 right now?
I have made sure I had all the updates, and tried it on 2 different HDR tv's and it doesn't pop any HDR alerts. Someone else can chime in. But right now the PS4pro version for me doesn't seem be HDR.
I would assume its a patch issue maybe, or something else entirely.

Thanks for the update Karak!

Don't know why but this is above full price at the main game retailers here in Australia. $89 is the cheapest which is ridiculous!

I really like the look of it too

Embargo drops in the middle of the night for me. I'll update the OP with some reviews of the game in the morning.

Honestly even if the reviews turn out to be just okay I'll probably get the game. I've been missing a game like this for awhile.

I just saw a video of somebody driving the classic Celica at night against a Lancia Delta.
Damn I missed Sega Rally so much, I'm happy at least somebody is looking out for us.

Any impressions? Didn't even find an OT for the thread so it looks like there is next to 0 hype for this, even though it looks pretty fun.

Full price in the UK too, ÂŁ45, knowing Milestone games like I do, it'll drop quite quickly, and will be a great game to pick up on sale.

Played the PC version a bit.
Very positive first impressions. Definitely arcade, but not brainless, and the AI can actually pose a proper challenge. It does remind me of Sega Rally a bit, as it has mentioned a few times before.
Graphically the game by default looks incredibly soft, but changing the AA setting, turning off chromatic abberation and "motion effects", it seems a lot better.

I do not trust milestone. Thier WRC games were bad, the newer ones are much better with a different Dev, Loeb Rally was really bad in the driving physics department and I see the same disconnected floaty physics in Gravel.

If they put out a demo I'll try it but not a fan of milestone racing games, I don't like the wat they feel.

Is the difficulty fair? I may pick it up today.

This looks more like I was hoping Dirt 4 would be. Don't get me wrong, I liked Dirt 4 and was impressed by it, but it got really repetitive and didn't have enough personality. It may as well have been called Dirt Rally 2, because most of the game was made up of rally and historic rally events that would make you play 10s (up to about 40) of events in a row. Meanwhile, the more personality focused events, like the circuit races and rally cross, took little time to get through and hardly factored in.

Game looks surprisingly good, but I'm not in a hurry and I'll get it when it's at 20 Euros or less.

I felt the same way about Dirt 4. It basically felt like a slightly less brutal Dirt Rally.

I think Codemasters took all the complaints about "too much fun" in regards to Dirt 1,2, and 3, and they went super safe and serious for the current consoles. It's a bummer. I loved the first 3 Dirt games. :(

It definitely seems that way

They made a good game, and one I spent about 40 hours with, but it wasn't as fun as the previous Dirt games (outside of Rally, which was too difficult). Repetition really hurt it.

Hell, in that time I didn't even get beating the Historic Rally tier. It wasn't part of the main campaign, and just became too much.

Thanks guys. Got the title. PM'd a mod for a title change. I'll keep working on the OP through out the day. Also I'm just gonna go ahead and buy this game now. I can't make an OT for a game I'm not gonna buy! Lol

Cheers
