I'd be OK with the self damage if it gave Tien blue life.

Why does 16 get blue life on his suicide super but Tien doesn't get blue life on his tri-beams?

That's just common sense. Tien's is waaaaay more versatile than 16's suicide.
It takes some bad luck to actually get caught in 16's suicide super.

Yeah, the suicide super is not viable whatsoever.

Tien's health nuke helps balance out the power of being able to DHC into something like that. Plus it would make an anchor Tien with sparking scary as fuck to not only make the damage higher but heal right up after. Kinda sucks his level 1 hurts him too, but I haven't messed with him much to see if that super is also outputting a lot for the meter.

Nah it at least has this to be viable.
I'm sure people will find more legitimate uses for it.

But yeah it'll always be a very situational super.

I said it before, Frieza is the Arthur of this game.

Scrub killer, probably viable in the long run, but he's gonna be kinda ass until people figure out more stuff with him.

Damn man Frieza isn't that bad. Most top players have Frieza in the mid or higher tier.

There's like only one notable top player playing Hit, doesn't make him not good. And there was only one Hit player in top 32 of Winter Brawl as well. I mean yeah he won the thing but it took a player of Sonic's caliber to make people think Hit is good and worth playing.

Also I think Flux plays Frieza. Arthur in UMVC3 is closer to Krillin tier. Frieza is probably closer to MVCI Arthur though.

Frieza is only good for two things. Wrecking people who super dash too much and scaring people with Golden Sparking Frieza

FSLink is on to something: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PawIGDgtMz4

I spent an hour in training mode trying to find Frieza synergies. I thought that I could call A18's barrier as my disks return to fuel meter to myself...nope. The hits are absorbed, but no meter gained. L A M E.

Because of how slow Frieza's level 1 super is Skab you can continue the combo after it with some characters. I only tried a few, but Beerus and A16 worked.

I feel like the saucers are key to making Frieza work.

Dahbomb Looks like Flux dropped Frieza for Hit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hxd2M_7NG84

No one thought Hit wasn't good. People are just lazy.

That one move where he blasts from the ground is pretty sweet
It is cool in theory, but in practice it's a high-risk move that puts out weak damage.

Pretty much everyone who looked at Hit's moveset knew he'd be good.

I don't think NLBC Flux plays Frieza. Last I heard he's using 21/18/Cell. FluxWaveZ doesn't use him anymore I think unless I'm mistaken.

I think Frieza will turn out fine in the long run but not as an anchor.
Not tryna brag, but I've made a few crazy comebacks with Golden Sparking Frieza. I was fighting Yellows if that means anything.

I just think there's way better anchors that doesn't require you to blow so much meter on a self ticking time bomb. Frieza as an anchor is servicable but I think it's overrated.

I guess I stand corrected on Flux, last time I saw him he was playing 21 and Frieza at NLBC. Now I see him using a bunch of teams.

No one thinks Frieza is bad either. The lazy excuse could be used for Frieza as well. Though I don't think Frieza is as good as Hit (preempting this because I know people are going to jump me on it) mostly because they are on complete opposite spectrum of a fighting game character archetype... and the Hit archetype works way better in this type of game.

Frieza works really good with goku/black assist

confirm into 5H (press assist too) > Discs > 5SS > 22S > wait till you touch ground then jump into air combo, end with super.

That does between 44k to 55k depending on which button you start the combo with. You can also add an extra S after the discs, but timing that is kinda hard. THe only down side is that I think you can't do it in the corner.

Ive found a good way to irritate someone and get them to play more aggressively with more risk is to let the timer go down to the last few seconds after a match. Simple but some ppl get salty from it. Wont Wo it though if we had a really fun and great match, just an occasional thing.
Letting the timer go down needlessly unless you're answering to some real life priorities is just really dumb. You're wasting my time and your own. Wish this game had a way to cancel out of a submission so that I could just quickly leave someone who's acting this way. It's annoying in Street Fighter V, and that game only has a 10-second wait.

Im surprised you cant cancel a submission, weird decision that only leads to ppl pressing rematch right away and having to wait. Youre right about the wasting time point as well, theres better ways to get in someone's head

Through messing with my team comp ive found that Tien and 16 work anywhere on a team.

Tien is a monster without meter and with assists and hes a monster with meter and no assists. He also has an amazing assist for combo extension, probably the best barring Vegetas. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a 3rd character

Yeah.. But then again, I've been disconnected from matches where the opponent actually was winning a couple of times as well.

I think Krillin is being underrated honestly.
Not to say that he is some secret amazing character, but I don't think he's one of the worst. (I'm not familiar with Marvel tiers, so I don't know what those comparisons mean, I'm just thinking of things like SonicFox's lists)

Don't do that. Pretty disrespectful of people's time.

Full translated patch notes from Bandai US Facebook:

Hello FighterZ,
Take a look at the adjustments and fixes we'll be making with the upcoming DRAGON BALL FighterZ Patch:

ARCADE MODE: Added "Return to Character Selection" and "Return to Course Selection" after completing a course

TRAINING MODE: Fixed a bug that shows the Dragon Balls collection animation while options were set on "Do not display"

TRAINING MODE: Fixed a bug that made the Assist Gauge recover when player guards continuously

BATTLE TUTORIAL: Fixed a bug that prevented the UI to be displayed properly when player passes the objective right after the beginning of the match

CHARACTERS -
GOKU BLACK: Fixed a bug that prevented the character to disappear when Goku Black's Special Move " The Work of a God " was used after an Ultimate Z Change

ANDROID 21: Fixed bug that prevented Android 21 from disappearing immediately after she is called in for a Z-Assist and the main character takes damage

ANDROID 21: Fixed a red visual bug when Android 21 is called in for a Z-Assist and the main character takes damage

FRIEZA: Fixed a bug that prevents Frieza to properly use "You Must Die by My Hand!" when lying on the ground after his Golden Frieza transformation

HIT: Fixed a bug that prevents the "Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack" effect to disappear when used during Ultimate Z Change and Hit's Meteor Special Attack

HIT: Fixed a bug that prevents the Z-Assist character to disappear when the main character is damaged at the very same moment by Hit's "I Keep Improving" attack

TIEN: Fixed a bug that makes a character invisible when both the main character and Z-Assist character are damaged by Tien's attack "Farewell, Tien…"

CAPTAIN GINYU: Fixed a bug that allows Ultimate Z Change to be performed with less than 3 gauges after performing "Powerful Energy Wave"

MAJIN BUU: Fixed a bug that makes the opponent invincible if Majin Buu's "Standing Light - Follow Up 2" and the opponent's Super Dash hit simultaneously

ANDROID 18: Fixed a bug of voice/mouth synchronization when special dialogues are played against Piccolo and Vegeta

OTHER FEATURES -
SHENRON: Fixed a bug that prevents Destructive Finish and Stage Destruction effects to appear with a character resurrected by Shenron

SUPPORT CHARACTERS: Fixed a bug that prevents voices of Support Characters (like Android 17 or Ginyu Force) to be played normally when called into battle

DRAGON RUSH: Fixed a bug that reversed the guard controls when a character is being changed by a Dragon Rush

The English patch notes do not mention any movement fixes.

How have they still not given a time or date for this patch that's supposedly happening today or tomorrow?

DRAGON RUSH: Fixed a bug that reversed the guard controls when a character is being changed by a Dragon Rush
This one's a big deal. All those Twitter tech videos of mixups on incoming characters aren't going to work anymore.

This might sound crazy but, hear me out, what if you just tried to outplay them

Btw I feel kinda bad after seeing the Freeza talk on here since I do think he's really fucking cool but since I'm still not very good (only Android and mid-placings at my locals) I decided to switch to Trunks for now until he's more developed and I'm better equipped to play a "weird" character. I also feel like I was lacking a good point character with Freeza on the team so rocking Trunks/18/Vegeta feels good. I've been using 18 and Vegeta since launch but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to try Trunks because of ChrisG.

So I recently added 21 to my team and have had a lot of success. I have some BNBs and mixups down, my issue is her command grab. Namely, what moves am I looking to take and what is the best way to implement them in my offense? Is it worth ending combos early to steal a move? The teleport seems kind of worth it, but I'm not sure about anything else. Are there any good videos on this stuff, specifically?

I know death saucer loops. A combo synergy doesn't make a character good.
