Depending on where you live, that cold is an exaggeration.
I sleep with a small ventilation switch turned open, so its around 10 degrees i reckon inside my bedroom. I like feeling that cold whilst being snuggled in my warm bed.

Same here. No trains are working, buses are driving every 30 instead of 5 minutes and cabs don't drive at all.
It's fucking chaos.

Love this UK weather. It's far preferable to mild and wet like it has been for ages. It's dry, it's wonderfully sunny, it's fresh and crisp. Yeah it's cold, but not overtly so. Mind you I'm in the southwest so no snow, just low temps around -1c ish.

We had -28 a few miles outside Umeå in Sweden last week. It sucked but we are kinda used to it.
Currently -4c in southern England at almost 08:00. Pretty warm compared to other parts of the UK and Europe.
I cant wait to take my kid on the uphill, mile-long walk to school through the snow in her stroller on Wed with a baby strapped to my chest. What fun!
True. I don't really mind the cold. The chaos that comes with it sucks though.
At least for coastal Iceland it's completely normal though. Reykjavik has average high temps of 2.8C during february. Stockholm has 0.6C and Helsinki -1.9C. Gulf stream makes winters ''warm'' in Iceland.

Meh, they overhyped this thing in a "winter is coming" style and in the end it doesn't even snow lol, it's cold for three days. And it's February.

As other people said in the thread, the actual temperatures are not too bad, it's the wind that is really chilling...
