At best, that seems like an even trade. McElwain has never been a good recruiter.

It became clear with the McElwain and Warinner hires that his services were no longer needed.so drevno got the boot just for being terrible right? no sketchy shenanigans?
That dude aint beating Bama as long as Nick is around. He done goofed.Deep down, TAMU people know this. They do.
That's why they guaranteed $75M to a coach whose team was 8-8 in their its 16 ACC games. A coach who led a team, with Top 5 talent in the county, to its worst season in a generation.
I can't imagine a scenario where Jimbo isn't fired within 5yrs if TAMU doesn't make the CFP at least once. Probably going to need to beat Bama at least once during the 5yrs, too.
Basically. At least UCF has a better recent of history of success to even begin to justify what they did. Aggie has never been anything more than mediocre basically throughout their entire history.
*cough* so has UCF.Basically. At least UCF has a better recent of history of success to even begin to justify what they did. Aggie has never been anything more than mediocre basically throughout their entire history.
I support National Champions UCF
Not really. Aggie has had infintely more history, exposure, resources, history, and money than a program like UCF but overall, they have little to show for it. Especially in recent history. There are few programs who have done less with more like TAMU.
I'd rather win 8 games every year and yet be tops in the nation in attendance, recruiting, and national recognition, than win 11 games and have limited appeal. It's more about wins/losses, its about the program's footprint as a whole which is more than just wins and losses.
Tua is going to beat everyone in the SEC the next 2 years so 2nd in the SEC west is A&M's ceiling for the foreseeable future. Of course even with Johnny Manzeil, they only finished 3rd in the SEC west and they have never finished higher than that so realistically 4th in their division is what they can expect at most over the next few seasons. Jimbo straight hustled A&M
He only has two seasons left before he leaves for the NFL
What if he sucks this yearHouston's Ed Oliver declares for the 2019 draft. Got that out of the way nice and early.
