That's certainly one way to spin driving less than 10% of the laps the Honda did.

Today's times are practically worthless as it rained during the lunch break and the cold weather will continue to change through out the day. As moss said, the tests are more about the reliability and handling of the cars today going into the first race at Melbourne.

Last year Hamilton set the quickest time on the first day at 1:21.765, so they're doing already pretty quick laps.
Alonso is only 3 tenths off his Q3 time from last year.
Hartley's 1'22.371 is faster than Sotffel's Q1 time last year (1:22.532).
