Someone better than me make a proper FedEx joke here, please.
But the FedEx colours are orange and purple.
Call me annoying, but I'll defend the black instead of blue and a lighter orange (or dark yellow). :P
too much F1 2017 ;)I actually had a dream last night that Alonso came second in Melbourne last night...
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/sergey-sirotkin-interview-williams-1006011/?s=1Have you met Frank Williams yet?
Yes, many times. Actually, there's a story of how he first saw me at base this year. I was doing regular – two, three times a week – pitstop practice with mechanics. I'm on the wheel gun. One time we were practicing, I wasn't in uniform and Frank showed up, and I had my back turned to him. He watched it, and then said – this new mechanic, looks a bit raw, needs more time to train with the wheel gun. He was told later that it was me. So that was our first meeting this year.
Motorsport.com with that clickbait title.So... if we sum up...
Renault limits the performance of the new engine to match late 2017 in order to maximise reliability.
Honda limits the performance of the new engine to increase mileage during testing and first races.
Mercedes had to review the engine (software only? I don't have more insider info than that) due to first-ignition issues.
Anyone has any info about Ferrari ? They cannot be the only ones without an engine rumor/info?
By the way there's an interview of Sergei Sirotkin at motosports... and i was surprised

I want to believe it's not a fabricated piece of personal communication, and he really did share time with the pit crew (the only top-of-the-crop part of the team lately and sadly) :)
They changed the engine components placement for this season, engine layout is different compared to previous seasonSo... if we sum up...

The sport had no qualms trying to stop Schumacher and Ferrari at all costs, but somehow I don't see the same regulatory fervor for dethroning Mercedes.By the 2021 engine changes, Mercedes will have won every title between 2014 and 2020 and Hamilton will have 7 titles.
I wonder how many years in F1 Alonso has left in him. If McRenault doesn't turn out to be good enough and if he ends up liking WEC I wouldn't be surprised if he retired from F1 after the 2018 season. But on the other hand it's only my wild speculation. :) His WEC announcement took me by surprise. It's rare to see a driver being fully committed to two different series with one of them being F1.
Mercedes were three years ahead of everyone else when the Turbo era started. It's actually impressive that Ferrari seem to have caught up with them.
Yes, those noted underdogs and victims of harsh FIA treatment, Michael fucking Schumacher and Scuderia fucking Ferrari. The sport had no qualms trying to stop Schumacher and Ferrari at all costs, but somehow I don't see the same regulatory fervor for dethroning Mercedes.
Emerson Fittipaldi raced until he was 50 years old. Mario Andretti until he was 54(!) years old.Well, Alonso is 36, and Schumacher finally retired for good when he was 43. Along as Fernando has the pace I'd say he could easily go for at least 5 more years.
Why are you in denial about something so obvious? The 2003 points system that heavily favored runner-ups, the 2005 tyre regulation changes that single-handedly removed Ferrari from the championship, even the yearly changing qualifying systems starting with 2003 could be considered such attempts.Yes, those noted underdogs and victims of harsh FIA treatment, Michael fucking Schumacher and Scuderia fucking Ferrari.
How anybody could believe this is beyond me.
The sponsor's logo next to the car number looks weird on that Force India. Makes it look like BWT is the driver. ;)
