The story of my time playing this, more or less.I got to top 11 today. Got a couple of good kills in, fumbled a play against one of the last people though.

One quick question though: I'm sure I see people landing much quicker than I do with their gliders out. Is that just my imagination or is there a legitimate way to glide down faster?
I'm all for intelligent discussion about game balance etc. There's none of that. Just constant moaning about how he's been killed by "bullshit" and how "overpowered" shotguns and ARs are. You don't need to come on here every time you lose to vent your salt.
There isn't a way to speed up the glide descent. Jump earlier, skydive straight down as fast as you can and then glide the distance to where you want to land, that's how you hit the floor earlier.
What? What he shows could be done by anyone and frequently was. You just spam the button. Does no one give a thought to consoles? Because I take back what I said about console specific controls, this gives us something more usable. Try changing materials half way through a battle only to find the next empty slot. It was always broken and never should have got to season 3 in that state. Not sure I'm a fan of the turbo building and automatic material switch, it's definitely helped me out but it lowers the skillgap. Kind of a handholding function as Cloakzy mentioned.
In an actual build fight, I haven't noticed turbo building helping me at all. You still need to know what to actually do to be effective. Just randomly throwing up ramps isn't going to save you in an actual fight. In any case, I'm pretty sure hammering your left mouse click before was just as effective as holding it down is now.Not sure I'm a fan of the turbo building and automatic material switch, it's definitely helped me out but it lowers the skillgap. I also think the pump shotgun needs to change rarity. It's silly that most players will go into the top 5-10 with a white pump over a purple tac. Something's off about that.
Orange Bolt for me, think I've had like 3 total. Blue Revolver probably the second (though I avoid Revolvers like the plague).Blue/Purple Pumps is the way to go. Same damage as the white/green variants currently.
Also, what would everyone say their personal rarest item/weapon to find in the game is? For me, it's the blue burst rifle. I routinely get Chug Jugs, Gold Scars, Gold John Wicks, and the like, but finding a blue burst is something that happens like once in 50 games or so.
The purple RPG. I get blues from chests. I get the gold from supply drops. But I never, ever see the purple one.what would everyone say their personal rarest item/weapon to find in the game is?
tbh I don't really like the pump now.
It needed the nerf and double pump especially needed to die... and I do think the risk vs reward with it is now fairly appropriate even though it remains the best shotgun in the game...
But damn the pump feels clunky as hell now. No idea why you have to pump it every time you switch to it and not just after you've fired. I don't get why I can pump it, switch to AR, then switch back to the pump and have to pump it again even though I never shot it.... Doesn't really make sense tbh.
I've said before I think the rarity of the Pump's should probably change and so what I'd really like to see is make it so you have to only pump them once between each fire and not every single time you switch to it (even if you didn't fire)... and then increase the rarity of each pump by 1 or 2.
Are you sure the pump animation is truly complete?
I have the same issue with sniper rifles where the animation is seemingly complete and the reload is finished so I switch away, then I come back and it hasn't actually reloaded. turns out you need to leave it a second after the animation is visibly complete
The new grass is gorgeous. The nice thing about jumping to the edges of the map to find the animals is that I could enjoy the scenery while running to the circle :)I'm still in awe of the visual upgrades this game has received every other week. This game is a cartoon come to life.
Our last match of the night, we were the only 4 people in Tilted at the beginning. Never seen that before. The new grass is gorgeous. The nice thing about jumping to the edges of the map to find the animals is that I could enjoy the scenery while running to the circle :)
Also, requiring people to jump to different named locations is really making the map feel more active gain. I'm finding that the pace of the action is more evenly spread again. There's like 7 people jumping to Fatal Fields every game now.
You're right. I think I'll buy Save The World now that it is half off, then earn the V-Points needed to buy the BP there. Insane value!
I mean, at the start of one of the games I played earlier I pulled a purple scar out of a chest and proceeded to drop a guy in two bullets doing 70 damage each. Know what I said when that happened? "Wow, that's bullshit." I walked away from the encounter feeling like the other guy got hosed as opposed to me doing anything noteworthy and it's a pretty big reason why I'm essentially spinning my tires waiting for that shooting test.
Cool, I'll try to add you.My wife and I play on XB1. We have only played duo's so far but would love to play squad some time. My gt is yankeeh8er
It's going to be a standalone purchase, because it will sell like hot cakes.Another missed opportunity for the Battle Pass: theme is space, and yet we got no Moonwalk dance emote.

Haven't run into this yet this season but it's pinned at the top of the sub
Looks like you need to carry Doc through some duosDang, now nobody will believe me that I've won 10 times this morning! In a row!
I guess they did this because they didn't want double pump to be viable in any way whatsoever. So you just can't switch to the pump quickly from any gun. You gotta have it out when you're ready to fire and if you plan to switch to a gun at all during that fight, you may as well not bother pumping after you shoot because you'll have to do it again when you switch back. But damn the pump feels clunky as hell now. No idea why you have to pump it every time you switch to it and not just after you've fired.
