It is a different game. Different devs too. Dragon Trap is a great remake. Monster Boy is a more modern take on the series. Much bigger.soooo is this the monster/wonder boy game that I just got physically when it came out a few days ago or a different game? this franchise is such a clusterfuck.
So I saw the footage on Youtube and didn't really like it, then I checked out the Development Blog which had a really nice looking art style. Is that how the game will look on release?
That's not the same game. The one you have in your image is the already released remake of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap. The game this thread is about is called Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, a new original game and spiritual and/or direct successor to the Wonder Boy/Monster World series.Apparently in Spain we will have it:
So EU confirmed apparently

Don't feel bad about getting it wrong: it's what this series does to people.
Yes the game will have dramatic improvements compared to early YouTube videos. We don't regret to have the old material (back to 2015) available on the Internet - it helped us gather lots of feedback from the community and make a better game. Hopefully, when the game is out and a new trailer has been made, the old material will slowly fade away ;)

LolWell that makes sense, as the game is p....retty good for Switch.
I just asked them, and it's going to run native 1080p @60fps on all platforms.Does that mean the PS4 version might be able to hit 4K + 60 fps then?
