Populuxe Brewing in Ballard has a good little arcade courtesy of a relationship with the Pinball Museum which is all-ages, so at least there is that.

Oh yeah, I forgot that they opened that annex. I don't remember what was in there last time I went by, I should swing by again.

Bad Jimmy's also added some pinball tables (and maybe an arcade cabinet or two?) to a little upstairs loft in their space too. I was describing to my sister how much pinball I have in my neighborhood, it's gotten kinda crazy.

Worth noting too about the Ice Box: One of the tables they have is The Hurricane, which is one of my favorite tables ever and I just can't recommend it enough. Growing up, The Cyclone was my favorite pinball machine, and playing its sorta sister table this past weekend was such a treat. Winning 3 extra games on it in a rare burst of pinball skills/luck was icing on the cake

It's funny. My dad loves pinball. I love video games.

My daughter thinks video games are cool, but LOOOOVES pinball. Guess it skips a generation.

The thing about pinball is that even a bad pinball table is pretty fun, but with games, even a lot of good games suck ass, soooooo

I love playing pinball but I've never really been to a place that focuses on them. These places look incredible though. Had no idea there were so many close by.

Looking forward to that bar in South lake union opening up that has miniature golf inside. Off Mercer and Westlake I think.

Flatstick? There's one in Pioneer Square right now if you're curious.

Anyone else getting snow right now? I'm not looking forward to taking my dad to SEA-TAC tomorrow if this keeps up.

It's snowing here in Green Lake. The news has been saying the grass will be covered but won't be cold enough for the roads to be an issue.

Nice to wake up to an inch of snow this morning! Looked very pretty.

Anyone know what happened to John John's Game Room on Olive Way? It just up and closed suddenly last December with a "we'll be back next year" sign which then turned into a "for lease" sign.

While im not from the states, my team was the Supersonics and was devastated when Oklahoma took over the team due to poor management.
Kemp was my main man, collected his cards and still got them somewhere in a folder...

Hey there Seattle-ERA peeps.

I'm here at LAX on my way to finally see LAFC plays their first MLS game. And what better way to come check out Seattle. I'm going to be staying with some family in Tacoma, but I'll try to spend most of my time in Seattle.

Some places on my list to visit are Pikes Place Market, the Space Needle, and the Amazon Go store.

On Sunday I'll be at CenturyLink Field to watch soccer game and will mostly be in that area for the rest of the day. Anyone got any recommendations to visit in the area?

Thanks.

Pioneer square (area just north of clink) is an enormous clusterfuck right now. If you're specifically looking for recommendations right near the stadium I'd stick around the International District across the train tracks from the stadium.

In the Interbay/N Queen Anne area for the rest of the week, any recommendations for food/bars?

Ummmm, Queen Anne has a Oaxaca location, wtf are you guys even doing not mentioning that

The one restaurant I'm always annoyed at myself for giving a second chance, a third chance, etc. Never had a satisfactory meal or drink here or the Capitol Hill location. Seattle isn't exactly known for great Mexican, and the popularity of Oaxaca is baffling to me.

Collins Pub is Great for pre or post game food and beers. Not far from Century Link.
It's a great spot to drink outside too when the weather is nice.

Speaking of Seattle eating and drinking, any newish places around Downtown/Belltown/Capitol Hill? Trying to mark a bunch of places to visit when I'm in town in May.

I'm sorry to hear that, it pretty much singlehandedly convinced me that the city was okay to leave southern california for back in the day, because there was good Mexican food available up here after all.

Today's the day, motherfuckers! Lorde + RTJ tonight! I seriously dislike Key Arena, but I am braving the squished horror of its cruel confines and bad sound just to see my girl do her thing in person at least one time. Wish me luck!

Quick question guys. I'll be doing a road trip with my gf through the PNW. Is Capitol Hill central enough to the city? Looking into an airbnb there.

Northgate fixin to be South Lake Union! Light rail might actually make it work...

Crazy to see the first ever indoor mall come full circle.

That would be awesome if you ask me. I love the idea of the areas around train stations becoming bustling hubs of business and commerce and would love to see that come to Seattle. I'm looking forward to seeing how the zoning changes and Light Rail expansion will affect Shoreline, too.

I was hoping we'd see a small version of this at Roosevelt Station, but it's just going to be a light rail station without any sort of mixed use retail. Seems like a missed opportunity. Same thing with Capitol Hill Station.

Landed in LA a couple hours ago for some job interviews, and the weather is... almost exactly the same as Seattle was when I left this morning. I swear middling climate follows me every time I travel!

Today was nice 60s weather, and it looks like tomorrow will be too. You're missing out!
