I mean, it makes sense. Casca was never going to be 100% the same person before the rape. She's always going to carry with her some pain and sorrow.

Hopefully she gets better over time.

I would imagine Guts has the same barbs wrapped around his heart. He was severely messed up after the Eclipse.

Yeah, after thinking about it it feels a lot more meaningful if the black barbs are a metaphor for the trauma she has to endure from now on by remembering everything. Farnese and Schierke are putting faith in Casca and themselves to help her bear the weight of those scars... That's pretty heavy, honestly.

of the double helix of "souls" entering into Casca's heart looks A LOT like the idea of evil. Maybe its just coincidence but that really stood out to me while reading through.

There's no way there isn't a catch. I'll take any chapters where she actually talks as a gift though. Like The Eclipse predates most fans discovering Berserk and it predates a lot of people even being alive. Reading anything where she and Guts are reunited is going to be very emotional.

This makes me want to re-read everything all over again...

The moment I saw the thread in OT I just caved in.

Amazing chapter. Seeing the horrors of the eclipse always creeps me out and it's not something you can get used to. Miura's designs are just that fucked up. But as amazing as this chapter is, the pinnacle moment will be the reunion with Guts. I'm gonna have to start practicing how to hold back my tears T__T

And sorry but that OT thread was a mistake. I hate that I saw it and immediately realized what happened.
