Neat. So is the concept like snake? The more you kill the more you grow?
And Cris Velasco is cool. How did you get him on board? How much did he cost?
In a way, yes - the more you eat, the more you grow, but that's not all there is to it, as the game will be rather exploration-based and puzzle-heavy, so it's only this one mechanic that's kind of like snake, not the whole game. Funnily enough, earlier in development the eating action was automatic and the monster grew really quickly, so the game kinda looked like a very gruesome version of Katamari :D
As for Cris, it was actually he who approached us first after seeing some of the development gifs on Twitter here:

Congrats! This is a genuinely great concept.
I hate to be that guy, but have you got your sights on consoles at some point...?
Console ports are definitely something we want to do, but we can't promise anything specific at this point. The only thing I can confirm is a PC release (Windows, Mac and Linux).
I'll be that guy... when can we get this on Switch? I'll even take a Vita version. This shit looks awesome.
A Switch port is one of our priorities when it comes to console releases, but we'll see how it goes. A Vita version is probably less likely to happen, but you never know. Myself I'd be glad to see it on PS4, XBO, Switch and Vita :)
Will Cris Velasco do the music for the game too?
Will there be a story to the game?
Cris is in for the long run. The OST will most likely consist of both his and our in-house composer's (Maciej Niedzielski, who did the whole OST for Butcher) tracks.
As for the story, don't expect the game to be plot-heavy, but we definitely want to flesh the lore out more than we did in Butcher.
Cool that "Carrion" stuck as a name!
Will you gain new abilities (idk, mimicking people a la The Thing, etc) or is the gameplay focused more on using a limited skillset and size changing?
Gaining new abilities and unlocking new pathways using said abilities will be one of the core mechanics of the game. Mimicking people/taking control of them is something we very much want to do, but have yet to see how it works in the actual game, so don't quote me on that if that ability doesn't make the final cut :)
