It did a similar thing with my watch when I had to resync it to my X. Didn't know it was a thing.

Ah thanks for the heads up. I'm on 11.03 so I don't know if the cloud sync will work right out the gate unless I update it the X to 11.1.
Make an encrypted backup of your old phone in iTunes and restore from that. It won't be perfect, but it's the closest you'll come to having your new phone be restored exactly like you old phone passwords and all.

A lot of my apps have updated throughout the week. There's always going to be the few that take their sweet time.
Did you do an iCloud restore? Sometimes there's a delay in pulling everything to the phone. Last time I did it, some of my photos took longer to show up than others.

cases are annoying. Chewed through 5 different clear ones to find one that is tolerable.
Spigen Hybrid ultra has slots on the back which can let in dust, also feels quite chunky and is really tricky to put on
Spigen Liquid Crystal is better but still feels big
Ringke Air has a slight blue tint to it, so isn't as clear as it could be.
Caudabe Lucid Clear looks great. But it does feel a bit slippery in the hand, and has *no* raisability - no front lip protection, even though their packaging says it does. So basically unusable for me
Ringke Fusion is what I'm using for now - decent raised edge, feels fairly slim in the hand and generally discreet. Still not perfect - I don't like the raised edge at the bottom that you'll rub against every time you swipe to go home.
Also tried the apple leather case (saddle brown). Feels very slippery in the hand and leaves me feeling a bit...nothing really. So I might take it back next week.
Bought AC+ so I could go naked if I want, but I need to adjust to the phone first.

It was from an iCloud restore, but it looks like it's finished. Tried turning iCloud music on and off a few times but every playlist restores except from that one. Thankfully I checked my iPad and the sync hasn't changed that one so I still know what was on the playlist. Took some screenshots as a backup too!
Viewing the blacks on this things in the dark, ooft! The screen is incredible!
Finally got mine. I thought the lack of home button and swipe gesture would be weird but the transition feels natural for me. It did feel awkward for a little bit but I think I got it now. Love it so far.
Also I've had more fun with animoji than I thought I would.
Btw right now all my apps are taking forever to install and they're stuck in "waiting" mode. Any solution to this issue?

What the hell? Is anyone having trouble finding Reachability? I went to the Accessibility settings and don't see the option. I'm going exactly where the screenshot in this article says and don't see it.

cheers - raised lip on the front? Cheap too so can just buy to try out. MIght return most of these clear ones that are just meh.
Yeah, this is surprising to me. I ordered the space grey version, but I expected the silver version's edge to be like the stainless steel Apple watch. If it were fully stainless steel, it shouldn't peel like that and you should be able to buff scratches off of it.
I'm wondering if they filmed B-roll on a mock-up instead.
it's the ceiling in the reflection. you can see the walls and windows end at it. the ceiling happens to be roughly a similar color to the phone making it look like it is peeled or something.
this narrative needs to die. there are no quirks, rushes, concessions, etc. There is zero question that the design of the phone and tech (love or hate) is all deliberate.
