I like the topical shows, but Netflix and Hulu really need to work on their lists/queue stuff. Some TV apps have hidden limits of how many can be displayed. Netflix seems to be thinking of new ways to making it damn near impossible to find your list. Tablet apps update your playback index way too infrequently. Netflix talk shows will notify you of new episodes that are previews of the episode you already watched.

This is UI basic stuff that they are handily amazingly bad.

Also, first episode was hilarious. Are people getting hit by cars really that common of a South Korea plot line?

I'm loving this out the gate. Like how he jumps straight into The Bachelor with the German guy. "When I woman looks beautiful, uh, I like it."

Yay! The Soup is back.

What's up with Joel McHale and Donald Trump? Are y'all implying that Joel supports Trump?

I have my doubts about that. Joel McHale - along with Matthew McConaughey - has endured, battled, and seemingly overcome male pattern baldness. If he was a true fan of Trump, he would hook that obese orange rind of scalp with a proper glow up.

It's just because he said they won't talk about Trump. Which makes sense since The Soup has always been about making fun of reality shows and internet stuff.

Correct. He basically said it in a similar way that the stars of Broad City said it: he gets way too much airtime and he doesn't need any more from this show. Plus, it's a good way of taking your mind off of it.

Man, I'm glad he's showing k-drama. I've watched more than a few over the years and they are ridiculous. Someone is always get hit by something.

Ok. Thanks for explaining.

It was refreshing. We need those breaks.

I think my favorite part is how he nonchalantly starts right atathe bachelor. Just business as usual.
Also amazing that so many reality shows still exist. Who watches this stuff?

Yeah, like we need another comedy show bashing Trump non-stop. No thanks. It's nice to get a break from that and just laugh at the idiots who they get to be the Bachelor.

I haven't had cable TV in almost 10 years, so it's always hilarious to see what kind of junky shows are on now, and then to have Joel mock them only makes it better. I hope Netflix renews this soon. First episode was great.

I'm only a few minutes in, and I'm so happy that this is basically The Soup 2.0.

I'm all for ways to mock and destroy Trump, but I appreciate a relief from that every now and again

Just watched the first episode, was a great start for the show. K-drama jokes had me dying, felt like I was watching live action Heavy Rain for a moment there hahaha.

Press X to "HAESOL!"

Nice to know I'll have some laughs to look forward every weekend to help combat the Sunday sadness.

13 Episodes for now it seems. Can't imagine it won't get renewed with it's super low budget though. Also it's smart for Netfllix to have something to encourage you to keep coming back in regular intervals in contrast to their other programming.

I can't wait to watch yeah I missed the soup

Does he talk about video games. I need him to invite Doritios Pope on so he can spew ether about video games.

Is Joel even trying at this point? I've never actually watched a full episode of The Soup, but that just seemed like... The Soup in everything but name.

Oh well... can't wait for more pop by appearances from Community members

I was dying at the kdrama part. I love them but they can be ridiculous. Funny enough, I was watching Black: The Knight who Guards Me but I stopped before whatever that episode was from.

It's just like The Soup went on hiatus and came back under a new name.
Everything I could have hoped for.

The original show rarely talked politics at all, as there are a multitude of other sources of satire and comedy about it.
But there are not a ton of options about pop culture and especially shitty reality tv.

Just finished watching, reminded me how much I used to enjoy The Soup. I think the Sunday once a week slot is perfect. Hilarious reminder of all the reality show/talk show segments I never watch.
