I'm trying to find the really impressive looking Snapchat gold face filter but it's not on the app. Not sure what they would remove it when the phone launched
I think the Animoji feature is kind of a killer app for the phone I think it's really kinda cool and look forward to using it more
Any cool apps to take some vantage of the face Scanning feature thing?
Mostly just to Narrated that cluster of text so this is kind of cool this new phone seems to be very good at voice recognition

Was going to buy Apple care but the guy serving me didn't seem to want to sell it to me so I did not but he said that the screen would cost $800 to repair if Broken. And that's a lot of money so don't drop the phone
And Apple care is about 400 I think it was but the screen repair would be 150
I'm talking Australian dollars because that's where I'm from

They likely took that from recording the entire iOS screen, not recording it in the messages app

I've used a case for every iPhone I've owned but I have yet to order one or really look into it for my X getting here tomorrow but y'all are making me nervous haha.
Honestly, I don't want anyone to know I'm using a $1500 (ac + taxes) device in my pocket, but then again I guess that's why some people go caseless and go for the extra shiny silver model? I'm more so in it for the added utility. Never understood why people wanted RGB led keyboards and the like...

Tapping anywhere on the screen to wake is very useful. Constantly checking notifications and playing/pausing music quickly with no home button.
We have a glass coffee table, so does that increase the likelihood of scratching the back of the iPhone X vs a wooden one? That might make me use a case or at least have a glass protector on the back.
Still figuring out whether to go with applecare+. Will check with my insurance first today if that can be extended to give equivalent accidental damage protection

Face ID killing it at night as everyone said.
It's quite a bit more useful for things like passwords or purchases or apps that use Touch ID to log in. I open my bank account and it just logs me in. No prompt to rest my finger. About as simple as you can get. It is kind of like a pre passcode world.

They are basically indistinguishable in any non-transparent case. Guess I'll go with silver for the case I'll pass it down to my wife later.
That is the first video that really makes me wish I'd ordered space grey. Silver is still nice though
Depends who you bought it from. From Apple it's 14 days. You can open it and use it.

Your backup can be from an older version, that's fine. Just can't be from a newer one

I'd take a percentage either inside the battery icon or even ditch the battery icon. More useful for me to know its at 15% than whatever banding they use for the icon graphic
edit - this "hold your other phone close to this one to setup" is pretty great

My X doesn't seem to want to charge with an Amazon Lightning cable I've had hooked up to my PC forever. 7 charged fine with it yesterday. Oh Apple.
