Having a hard time unhearing "The healing power of Undies" every time I Cure Water. Playing with English VA was a mistake!!
Oh God, they slaughtered the pronunciation of undine, didn't they?

No, they pronounce it correctly (in English, with the English pronunciation).Oh God, they slaughtered the pronunciation of undine, didn't they?
This is exactly the kind of game I want to play handheld though so I'll hold out.
I don't have a PlayStation Vita though...Yeah, it's not like this and Adventures of Mana are on PS Vita? Oh wait.

Or you know, I have a PS4 and a switch and I'd rather play this kind of game on a handheld capable device than any screen. Just like I'd rather play a big AAA game on a PS4 with better graphics.
They're still like £100. Why on earth would I pay that much money just to play Secret of Mana? That's a ridiculous thing to suggest. I'll just wait until the inevitable port.I haven't looked into it but I'd guess used Vitas are pretty cheap these days, at least 2000 models.
Because it sounds like you like handheld RPG and there are many exclusive on VitaThey're still like £100. Why on earth would I pay that much money just to play Secret of Mana? That's a ridiculous thing to suggest. I'll just wait until the inevitable port.
My daughter work up this morning, ran into our room and asked if we could keep playing when I got home from work tonight. I have successfully brought one more into the fold, although I don't know if she'll be able to wrap her head around the magic system(She's 6).
So far not really, i'm probably waiting something that I will probably never get... we never know
Are you slowly leveling up everything or just running straight through?Sure, but i thnk this is stupid to strip out gameplay element for make a game any harder. You are suppose to use rule to be able to progress, and not remove rule to make progress harder, the balancing was clearly way down the list of proirity for this release, it shows a lot ! Played another 2 hours since yesterday, the game is really too easy, this really remove any sense of achievement.

This made me say "WHAT ON EARTH" out loud when I heard it in game
IKR?! It's like throwing a bunch of shit on the wall to see what sticks... But nothing sticks... Now it's just a runny shitstain on the wall.
Yeah, she's a little put off by hit boxes and ranged weapons. Which even I have trouble with on the remake. She was pretty blown away when I told her it was a remake of an old game that came out when I was 12 and showed it to her on the SNES Classic. She liked the PS4 one better though, gonna have to see if I can convince her to give it a shot. That game came out when i was like 7.... i think she will catch pretty fast :)
This 100%! Thank God for the og score option. As bad as those two songs are, Into the Thick of It is the bigger offender since that used to be one of the best songs. I'll be kind and not post the link to it.
Just a few examples of some of my favorites so far. The soundtrack is far and away from just a bunch of "screeches" like the Kotaku article suggests it is - sure there are some REALLY BAD versions - but the good far outweighs the bad.

Yes, and not the entire screen either. Just like the SNES version.
I did get crashes 2 or 3 times. I did lose 30-40 minutes of grinding and learned to go back and save often during weapon grinding sessions. I wish this was pointed out in reviews over hurr durr the graphics. Is anyone else having a lot of freezing going on? My roommate has had his game freeze twice now and lost like an hours worth of grinding weapon levels. :-/

Really? I totally missed that. I guess it's the bottom save file when you load your game?I set the max item count up to 12 and regret nothing. This is payback for all the times the early game portion has been a super jerk to me!
Does the game say anywhere each weapon's special qualities? Like the Sprite's Spear ballooning enemies. I can't find it.
