To be fair, Iori is being licensed. Also, this is not an SNK game, only Iori from SNK is licensed and the game is out in Japan only.

Yeah, it really feels like every mobile moba game uses the same game engine. Even the Onmyoji MOBA (which I am very much looking forward to BTW) feels the same.
Damn, sometimes I hate this player-base so much.
After a 5-win streak, and a fresh rank up to Silver II, I got on a team with 3 people who all wanted to pick marksmen and we had one warrior. No mage, no real tanks... So I picked Grakk, who I rarely play. I couldn't choose my main because the team was so unbalanced, but no one would switch. I kept sending messages, but everyone thought they would be the ultimate badass marksman I guess.
Well, our team got rocked, and everyone spread out everywhere doing their own thing, and the other team was of course perfectly balanced and working together. I had 6 deaths and didn't accumulate much gold. Our Valhein had 5 deaths and only had 1K more gold than me, but at the end of the match multiple teammates reported me, and my credibility ranking just took a hit for the first time since I downloaded the game.
I know it's not a big deal, but I was absolutely infuriated. I'm still fuming, and wish I could appeal those reports somehow.

Was there a wipe of all AoV data? I remember trying the game right after it came out on the US AppStore, unlocking heroes and whatnot and then I got hospitalized. Fast forward to today I thought about firing the game up again after seeing the Switch footage and found that I could only select New Game or Login with Facebook o.o
Skyfireblaze just log back in with whatever you logged in with first time, should have all your stuff unlocked from before. happens when there is a big patch
I think I messed that up because I accidentally pressed on "US" when I first clicked on New Game. Ah well :(

The way I would mitigate that stuff when I played LoL is to take a different approach to those lopsided losses.
Why did you die six times? Did you need to die six times? What could you have done differently? Why are you uncomfortable on tanks? Are you comfortable enough to fill for every role if necessary? If not, why not?
You often times can't control what your teammates do in any MOBA games. You can, however, maximize your chances of winning. Have a broad pool of champions you are comfortable with as well as understanding the limits to those champions (trying not to die six times) is going to be the bets way for you to influence the outcome of a game. It will still be frustrating, but it will be at least a little more productive than just being angry at your teammates.
Great advice, thank you. I wasn't angry with my teammates because I died or because I had to swap roles. Like I said, our primary marksman died just as much as I did (five times), so I wasn't embarrassed or anything. I was just upset and felt targeted. I got reported, I assume for feeding, when I was just trying to do my best with a character I didn't know how to play, and comparatively, I didn't actually die very much.
Admittedly, I should have just stuck with Chaugnar. His damage output is minimal, but he's obviously still tanky and could have filled the "warrior" need well enough. I also play Chaug pretty conservatively. I poke with my abilities and dive into team fights sparingly, only when my ult is ready to go (because it negates controlling effects and allows me to spam an ability for a few seconds).
Playing a more aggressive role I felt more compelled to get involved in team fights because I knew everyone else in my lane was squishy AF. I got involved too much and got targeted most of the time, so the issues soon fed into each other as I was soon underleveled with few items. This is my first MOBA, and I'm still learning how to deal with team composition and roles. Playing almost exclusively with randoms I find that I take it upon myself to make sure we have a balanced team, when I know that shouldn't be my concern and mine alone.
I definitely should have picked my battles more wisely or stuck with the character I knew. I'm also comfortable using a couple of mages, but in this instance, the last thing we needed was another squishy champ.
I will be VERY interested to see what the player base is like on the Switch. Matchmaking could be a whole 'nother ball game over there. It will have its own unique meta.
the dif between silver 1 + 2 is like a zillion degrees. funny, keep bouncing between the two.
the Arthur valentines skin is way to pricey, not sure what they think of the current player base. looked at vietnam, they dont have road to glory but heroes are like 250 vouchers... hmmm

Alice is a god damn monster. They really did a good job on making supoorts feel powerful in their own way. I frequently get mvp with her.
My build is so effective, that I am paranoid I will run into others with it pretty soon. I even clear my items at the end in hopes that no one focuses on it as I play. Tbh, I dont think many people know why they lost to me and my team until it is too late.
I dont even think my team knows half of the time what I am doing until they see me as mvp out of nowhere like a RKO.
The good news is that no one likes to play support. So I am safe... for now.

Man. Played the game early when it came to EU, had a fuckton of skins and did half the road to glory, deleted for space in my phone, came back.......and shit. Losing Catacombs Arthur is heartbreaking, I switch between him and that little Fairy, Krixi I think, as my mains. Been hoarding gems for magic orbs though, I now officially have Techno Templar Vallhein as a skin, SOO GOOD. Evos sounds interesting, I hope I get butterfly before its too late.
Forgot to mention, Ranked so far has been smooth sailing. Been MVP'ing left and right, shooting up in the ranks, and I got to Silver 2 within a day or so. Another thing I love about AoV is those good damn hook wars. Quick, chaotic, and the way it just throws you into the game is dare I say better than 5v5 Aram over in LoL. Another thing I gotta ask, Arcana are slightly P2W right? Needing real money to buy Arcana Pages is total bull, they are more of a necessity than Runes.

I can buy Arcana with gold sure, but you need vouchers which are pay only for new Arcana Pages. I have one for Arthur that is exactly as recommended, and one that is a hodgepodge of different Arcana for different heroes, but it doesn't feel right.
Edit: Holy Fuck is the game autobalance ratings busted as hell. Chose Lumburr by mistake in a Ranked Match, got a perfect no death 12 kill streak from the sheer ridiculous amount of health he has, the right Arcana and insane cooldown speeds from default item set 2. Support my ass, dude is Thomas "THE FUCKING TANK" Engine, steamrolls you and than some.

You can buy Arcana pages with gems. That's what I used when I bought 2 pages. Can't check right now if there's a limit to how many pages you can buy with gems, though.
Nope. Two unlock by default and the rest are with vouchers.
I see. So it's different for US/EU then. I'm on SEA server and I just checked. We use gems to unlock them.
Well than that is some grade A bullshit. Admittedly its different markets and SEA usually has fairer F2P mtx because of economic reasons, but its still bullshit.
Never had that issue myself. Of course being Level 16, I might be in the most populated rankings for matchmaking. I can only assume there are still very little players that would be level 25+.This keeps turning me off from this game.
Don't know Vainglory, but AoV is very much like DotA, just missing last hit bonus and consumable itens. There is no ongoing beta on Switch. No launch date too.
Sorry for the double post, but holy shit I am ready to break something. I had started an account about two months ago. I forgot about it, and started playing the last 3 days again. Apparently, they don't count the 30 Day Login Bonus Event cumulative based on how many days you play, just straight up clock in the 30 days without actually logging in or anything. Although I might never use them, locking me out of getting 3 Heroes and a fuckton of gems because I couldn't dedicate time is mindblowingly bad. Forced myself to restart completely so that I can get the free stuff.

I became platinum a few weeks back now, so I have achieved my goal of seeing how far I can get with alice/mina. I wanted to see how far I could get with alice/mina. I think Ive created a monster. Mina/alice are gods at full build. I am nearly unkillable now. I even taunt my opponents via chat just to salt the wound.
It is like getting a super aggro buff because as soon as I talk shit during a match, the enemy team seeks me out all match to try to kill me. The problem with that is they often have to step out of position to try to rush my fast as fuck alice. This gets them killed because it's bait and I always see it coming.
Then when they die, I tell them... I says to em, "What did I tell you? You cant catch me! You wont kill me even once! Im fast as fuck!" And the cycle continues. They try to rush me, die, rinse, and repeat.
Sometimes I feel bad. But then I realize that I am ranking up. So it's alright...
