It will come to Steam but later, we don't have a release schedule yet. We'll put extra care into the PC Version and add 21:9 support.

Awesome, but I take it those release dates are placeholders? GameStop's listing August 28 which fits as it's the heart of/late Summer - but Amazon's listing September 25 which can't be right as that's the start of Autumn. Guessing the release date hasn't been officially set yet and those dates are obvious placeholders?
Yes the release dates are placeholders for 'Summer'. We'll announce the exact date at a later time.

Your game is insta-bought - just a case of potentially getting the console version upon release this Summer, if that's coming sooner, or hold out for the Steam release as my laptop is more than capable. Any word on how long we'll be waiting for the Steam release? Or is that not planned and decided just yet?

was hoping this would be a 3d dragon quest inspired Remake but happy that Everyone else has gotten what they Wanted and Yes it is a bit odd that this is only just now getting a pyiscal edtion outside the US ...
I've never played any Wonder Boy games, but this looks fantastic. I think I'll finally give the remake a whirl and slap a preorder down for this. The cover art is so colorful and eyecatching. Seems worth going physical for that artwork alone!
It's rad to hear this is getting a physical release. I'll most likely go digital like I did with The Dragon's Trap, especially if there's like a $10 difference. I'm not invested in the series in any nostalgic way, I wasn't a Genesis/Megadrive kid.
