Is Chiaotzu the first Lobby avatar? Theres enough free spots between him and Cooler to do 2 season passes worth of characters.
Also is there really no GT stuff at all? DB, DBZ, DB Movies, and DBS are all well represented. Chronoa is coming as a DLC avatar so I guess a lot of stuff just isn't in the files yet.
This is just the list of names you can attach to emotes within the game. The only important detail here is that Cooler is listed alongside the playable characters. None of the other characters mean anything at all.
These aren't the Lobby Avatars, but yeah, that space could mean something. I actually posted about it in the FighterZ Datamine Thread two weeks ago lol.
EDIT: Cooler is now listed right next to the other playable characters in the list of quotes that you can tie to Z Stamps.
Will Cooler be one of the first DLC characters released? That would honestly be unexpected. Also, there seems to be enough space in the numbering between the playable characters (Cooler being 794) and non-playable characters (Chiaotzu being 810) for 15 more characters, which would account for the rest of the FighterZ Pass and a second season. Most likely means nothing, but just food for thought.
Finally, someone else smart enough to realize the current dilemma of discussing fighting games made a dedicated forum for discussing this particular game. If you're actually serious about learning this game, I highly recommend utilizing these forums in an effort to consolidate the information diaspora that's making the learning process for this game suck for a lot of people (such as myself).

I wish we had some kind of roadmap or any sort of acknowledgement about future updates. It is too early to hear about balance changes obviously but I just want to know how the game will grow in the coming months beyond the extra characters and music.

How do we tell which is the roster names? I see Jiren but is that for a roster spot or avatar?
Given how dead Dustloop is I am not sure this new place will be very lively. I'm afraid most of the "hardcore" players will stick to Discord to share tech about the game. Why this app is so popular is beyond me but it seems to be the way it's headed IMHO.

this is my first airdashers type thingy but not my first FG coming from thousands of hours of SF4 and Tekken 7 mostly, and y'all are pressing so many buttons that I can't parse anything that's happening ever send help to this address
although the matchmaking in this game is almost turning me off, I can't really learn when i'm just browsing ERA for 90% of my playtime. Playing for like an hour I might find 3 matches if i'm lucky and that kinda sucks a lot

man most of my matches start with me crouching and crying while I get mauled by buttons until I lose a character, it's pretty sad to watch

With the pinned messages, quick response to questions, and multiple channels for diff things, @ notifications, it's just a more suitable platform.
However id say twitter is the place to be, lots of resources seem to mainly exist to catch up to twitter tech
Has anybody being getting more disconnects over the past week on PS4 where it is clearly neither party is rage quitting? It is starting to get annoying for me.
This is the first time I really use Discord and I can say I totally love it. Mainly hanging out in the New Challengers Discord because the more experienced players are very helpful, welcoming and patient. There's also the Google document featuring many combos for almost every character. As someone completely new, the task of getting combos / ideas from blurry Twitter pics is way too much for me so I'm really appreciative of these resources.
With all that said I can't see myself really using a dedicated forum for information. At least in my opinion the age of dedicated forums, especially for single games, is pretty much over. Communities like Era are more of an exception.
I think the CD key is global but don't take my word on it. Aside from the occasional disconnect from a lobby online on PC is pretty a-okay in my opinion. Takes like 2 to 3 minutes for me to find a match at rock bottom tier. With 4+ bars and high completion rate only.
There's Dan Dan Kokoro, the opening. Which is pretty much the best thing out of GT anyway.

Quite a few matches where I didn't manage to bring down a single character.
Loving Tien so far. Went from lame auto combos and now I can pull off some fancy shit (on training, come matchday I just drop shit like crazy)
I can't defend. So I lose to people who can't combo for shit but throw so much of it to the wall that eventually something sticks. Kinda frustrating... But at least I know what I have to do.
I rage at Fifa and LoL all the time. But here I don't mind losing. Loving the game

Yeah Basil and Kahseral is especially weird. I don't remember when exactly Kale and Caulifla first showed up, but maybe their debut was just a little bit after the cut off point while the others debuted sooner.
But lobby stuff really doesn't matter much at all, so whatever.

Try to get the base combo down (2m,m,jump,m,m,2h,rush,llm,finisher). That's going to be how you get the grand majority of your damage and will give you a real good understanding of how the combat system works.
I haven't played for the last 3 days, so I thought it's time to jump back in. But the servers are completely crippled at the moment :(

It is actually very surprising how long it's taking to get the situation fixed. Ring matches especially! I wouldn't be surprised if a very large number of players were totally turned off by the lack of possibility to play with their friends and gave up on the game entirely. Feels like a missed opportunity to cement a large player base....

Just finished my 200th match at a 32% win rate, but still finding it very fun. Dark blue but all I ever face is light or dark green. Scrubs like me are hard to find in ranked.
Ive been trying, but I tend to fail at the 2h in training and at the jump in ranked play.

Yeah, at the moment I'm working on that base combo and a pretty basic BnB for every member of my team (Ginyu/Nappa/Frieza).
When I go do online matches I set simple goals, like "reflect one supder dash" or "safely tag while on the defense". That way I also don't really mind losing that much as long as I work towards my goals :)

I've been playing Hit/16/18 with 18 on anchor, but I just watched a stream where Leffen said that putting her on anchor is wasting her potential. Most of the time I see her now she's on point. Could anyone explain the logic there? Is it because you get to lock people down with both assist and 17?
Amusing how certain Goku black players just throw out down heavy like it's an automatic punish..it's easy to bait out and then you don't rematch bravo my guy.
She's point character because she builds meter easy for your other characters and she has great rushdown tools, but she has problems to be on anchor.
The character that you put on anchor are heavy hitters well rounded characters (black,Cell for ex) .

Was super confused by this sentence until I realized you meant Goku Black.
Her assist does very little to help your first two characters.
