Phew, went on a nice run tonight and breezed into Super Saiyan 2, feeling very comfortable with my Vegeta Blue/ 18/ Yamcha team right now.

This is amazing. Would have been cooler if they made a Dramatic Finish with Ten taking out Cell with the Tri Beam. They should have added more period. lol. Hopefully with the new DLC characters we get more.

I won 6/9 ranked matches today, and won well over half of my casuals (not sure of the exact number but probably something like 12-13/20) and I dropped from light green to dark green.

i actually think its broken. I have better win percentages than people with better colours then me
It depends on factors other than solely win percentages. From my experience, other than some rage quitters I've seen, color is generally a good indication of a player's overall skin level within their ranking.

Going from light green to dark green means your threat level increases.
It takes into account matches outside of ranked, such as Arena and Ring ones, which aren't shown on the public player data card.
Dark green actually means it decreases.
I've seen people say your color can change from non-ranked matches(which explains why my friend is Dark Green despite 0 ranked matches). If they're doing work in casuals/ring/whatever but getting smoked when they step in Ranked, that might explain it.
I would otherwise agree, but I've gotten one too many repeat offenders who just leave the game running in Ranked, step away and waste 60 seconds.
I'm sure it'll be useful in the future for dodging some wifi boys too.
For those kinds of issues, the game should definitely have a blacklist like SFV where you'll never be matched with that player ever again. Something like that is fine. But being able to pick and choose who you play with in Ranked based on their square color or identity (knowing their team, your winrate against them, or who they are in general) is not right. For connection with that player, that's fine (going back to the blacklist), but otherwise it doesn't really make sense.
Just another thing in the pile they need to address.

I'm actually happy Android 16 is top tierish. He was always my favorite reveal, and he's a cool looking character. His actual character in the anime is great, too.

Okay so what should I do against a good Goku Black? He's good at keep away and if you try to get in he has his 2H ready. Also he can get in quickly with Instant Transmission (no bars). Also kamehameha assist.
After hours of disconnects, I managed to get every online achievement: now I think I will stick to Arcade until I improve and/or the servers are more stable.
I was not doing as bad as I expected with my Piccolo-Teen Gohan-SSJ Goku trinity. Very fun game, when it works.

The more I use teen Gohan the more I realize he's hopeless. The only non-meter-intensive custom combos I could come up with on my own involve tight execution and don't even deal significantly more damage than the "usual" universal route. Prob some nasty loops in the corner I haven't quite figured out yet but this char needs to be switched out! How have you found playing him?

Also had a match with bad connection but won both the fights... the first by a little, the second almost perfect.
Still at 58% ratio, but I know when I will start to fight better player I will just start to lose most of the matches... XD
When I actually get to fight a decent opponent, I win 1 match or lose both, and usually by not much... but still my ratio is way worse. I panic too much...

Didn't know I was using low tier characters like Teen Gohan and Trunks. Goku Black is my main and I rotate Hit, Teen Gohan and Trunks. I love Teen Gohan. I kick some serious ass with him, i just don't really like his level 1 super.

Great investment. I've been playing on stick for a very long time, but since there's no arcade around anymore, i feel the Hitbox is the best way to play fighting games.
It is especially for me; I'm a heavy PC player in general, so it's just bigger WASD as far as I'm concerned. DPad feels really mushy on PS4, so that was a no go (I'd rather have used Joycons lol), and pulling up DOA5 on PC, I went into training and found that with WASD I could pretty much nail every movement easily and consistently, so here's hoping this removes the controller barrier!

Is Adult Gohan really Cookie Cutter? He's not exactly easy to use.

He put her there based off of neutral since she's kinda eh there. She does have good combo routes and oki with j.214M though.

Still cant get over just how bullshit Goku Blue's light autocombo is.
First 3 hits are mid, low, overhead. So the 3rd hit is ALWAYS a 50/50 mixup, because it's either L, L, L which is an overhead, so kills low blocks, or L, L, 2M, which is a low and kills standing blocks.
I know the overhead is slow, but for beginners, that will catch people out waaaaaaaay too often.

I only barely messed around with him, but he felt pretty slow and his normals were nearly as bad as Yamcha's. I wonder if there's some cool stuff you can do with his Volleyball thing.

There's lots of cool stuff with him. Overheads, lows, stuns and a non-scaled lvl 3 super in a combo with Chiaotzu, guaranteed hard knockdown with air volleyball fist, etc. He's a solid character all around. Plus I get to mess with people like this:

Yamcha has become my go-to rushdown/point character. I love his mixups, his combos, and his overall demeanor. Tien is also super fun with lots of options. Right now I've been working on a weird mixture of Yamcha, Tien, Gotenks, 18 and Krillin, trying to decide which 3 work best together.
