Just curious, trying to earn enough currency to unlock SSB Vegeta and Goku since I didn't preorder. How much to I need to earn for both? About how much do you have after beating the campaign? I'm at like 58k lifetime earnings and 23% through the story. Thanks!
My sides have been sent to the next dimension!
I really like watching leffen. But sonic fox is crazy good. But I believe leffen could beat him with practice now. He seems to be really adaptive.
But on the flip side. Sonicfox is sonic fox. Lol
I don't really understand how the coloured square ranking system works.
I won 6/9 ranked matches today, and won well over half of my casuals (not sure of the exact number but probably something like 12-13/20) and I dropped from light green to dark green.
Like, huh?
It depends on factors other than solely win percentages. From my experience, other than some rage quitters I've seen, color is generally a good indication of a player's overall skin level within their ranking.i actually think its broken. I have better win percentages than people with better colours then me

So people don't have to go scrubbing the entire video and go straight to the Leffen/Sonicfox matches: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/228137815?t=01h54m30s
Going from light green to dark green means your threat level increases.

You really should not be able to pick and choose who you go up against on Ranked.
For those kinds of issues, the game should definitely have a blacklist like SFV where you'll never be matched with that player ever again. Something like that is fine. But being able to pick and choose who you play with in Ranked based on their square color or identity (knowing their team, your winrate against them, or who they are in general) is not right. For connection with that player, that's fine (going back to the blacklist), but otherwise it doesn't really make sense.I would otherwise agree, but I've gotten one too many repeat offenders who just leave the game running in Ranked, step away and waste 60 seconds.
I'm sure it'll be useful in the future for dodging some wifi boys too.
Whoops! Then I don't know why that drop happened.
I enjoyed the time we spent together. You guys are...cool.I'm actually happy Android 16 is top tierish. He was always my favorite reveal, and he's a cool looking character. His actual character in the anime is great, too.
The more I use teen Gohan the more I realize he's hopeless. The only non-meter-intensive custom combos I could come up with on my own involve tight execution and don't even deal significantly more damage than the "usual" universal route. Prob some nasty loops in the corner I haven't quite figured out yet but this char needs to be switched out! How have you found playing him? After hours of disconnects, I managed to get every online achievement: now I think I will stick to Arcade until I improve and/or the servers are more stable.
I was not doing as bad as I expected with my Piccolo-Teen Gohan-SSJ Goku trinity. Very fun game, when it works.
You can punish his IT or just start blocking when you see him start itOkay so what should I do against a good Goku Black? He's good at keep away and if you try to get in he has his 2H ready. Also he can get in quickly with Instant Transmission (no bars). Also kamehameha assist.
I know a lot of people have been asking for tier list thoughts and stuff. SonicFox has gone ahead and posted his personal tier list:
Not surprised to see A.Gohan and Cell in his top 3, they are absolute monsters. 16 makes sense too. Giving him the ability to combo into a true hard knockdown is insane for this game.
Lower characters seem kinda straightforward. Too much work for not enough reward. I think 18 is strong, but he put her low based off of her neutral which I can agree with-- I play her second for that reason.
He's one of the less popular characters along with Ginyu from my experience.
Only player I know off-hand playing Majin Buu is Alioune. He's been posting a lot of tech for him.
Great investment. I've been playing on stick for a very long time, but since there's no arcade around anymore, i feel the Hitbox is the best way to play fighting games. My Hitbox should be here today; watched that video on defending yourself, hopefully I'll be able to get cracking on this game more today!
It is especially for me; I'm a heavy PC player in general, so it's just bigger WASD as far as I'm concerned. DPad feels really mushy on PS4, so that was a no go (I'd rather have used Joycons lol), and pulling up DOA5 on PC, I went into training and found that with WASD I could pretty much nail every movement easily and consistently, so here's hoping this removes the controller barrier!Great investment. Team Cookie Cutter online soon gon be Adult Gohan, one of the dudes who touch their temples(Perfect Cell/Goku BLACK), and Vegeta assist
<3
He put her there based off of neutral since she's kinda eh there. She does have good combo routes and oki with j.214M though.
Tien being so high on that list is kind of surprising. I never see anyone play him.
I only barely messed around with him, but he felt pretty slow and his normals were nearly as bad as Yamcha's. I wonder if there's some cool stuff you can do with his Volleyball thing.
the overhead is a free deflect.Still cant get over just how bullshit Goku Blue's light autocombo is.
First 3 hits are mid, low, overhead. So the 3rd hit is ALWAYS a 50/50 mixup, because it's either L, L, L which is an overhead, so kills low blocks, or L, L, 2M, which is a low and kills standing blocks.
I know the overhead is slow, but for beginners, that will catch people out waaaaaaaay too often.
There's lots of cool stuff with him. Overheads, lows, stuns and a non-scaled lvl 3 super in a combo with Chiaotzu, guaranteed hard knockdown with air volleyball fist, etc. He's a solid character all around. Plus I get to mess with people like this:I only barely messed around with him, but he felt pretty slow and his normals were nearly as bad as Yamcha's. Below is a great video going more in depth about Tien if you want to check it out:
