Welcome my friends, from the iOS veterans, to those who have only taken their first bite from the finest cultivar you can get from Cupertino! I am your host Redhead On Moped, and this is the official thread for all things iPad Pro. We had a fairly active community in another time and another place, so I hope we can all help and learn from each other here too! Though it is no secret that I like some of Apple's hardware, I absolutely LOVE iPad Pro (specifically the 10.5 inch model). Though I have a desktop and an iPhone SE, iPad Pro is my main computing device and there's very little I don't use it for. Heck, this OT was made entirely on iPad Pro too! I know a lot about iOS, and in the past have shared my knowledge with the community, but this will be structured a little differently. There is a general Apple thread, but this is more iOS on tablet focused. While this is a community thread for everything and anything about Apple's Pro line of tablet computers, a lot of the info here can also be applied to iOS for other devices. Additionally, we'll be doing weekly App Of The Week posts where we showcase an app or extension that enhances the iOS experience on iPad Pro. We'll also be posting current deals and specials for iPad Pro hardware, apps, and accessories. Finally, we will have tutorials and tips on how to make the best use of the device.
iPad Pro is only in its second generation, and it just keeps getting better. There's much to love, and the honeymoon never ends!

Yoink: Improved Drag and Drop 2.99 USD
Ever since iOS 11 came out, I've been head-over-heels with how well drag and drop with the dock and files work. Problem is, sometimes you need some place to temporarily move and not just copy the files. Apple has always been a copy first fan in their OSes to avoid accidentally losing files, but we're big kids now. That's where Yoink comes in. Yoink allows you to drag text and files form any app or file system frontend and either have them act as copy or move by dragging into Yoink from app a, and then dragging from Yoink to app b. You choose wether the file is kept on Yoink or deleted after dragging to app B (aka a move instead of a copy!) This is great, and a great way to ensure you aren't bogging down your storage with duplicate files for no good reason. Best part is it even allows you to drag files the app itself can't open or recognize, so there's no BS "not compatible" application woes. It does one thing, and does it well. If you work with files on iPad Pro, it's an absolute must-buy, and deserves a space on your dock too!
BGR is reporting that you can get a 10.5 incher at 150-200 USD off at Sam's Club on the 11th, depending on configuration. This means the 64 GB one will be 500 USD, and the popular 256 GB one will be 613 USD on that day!
If you just need something cheaper and what you really care for is a TrueTone display for like comic books, last year's A9-based (still solid) 9.7 incher is having a special promo at B&H with AppleInsider. With this deal, you can get a 128 GB 9.7 inch pro for just 500 USD. Not bad! These deals are good now, but I don't see an end date on the site. Good luck!
