They switched the last race in daily, its Interlagos 10 laps with fuel x2 and tyre x6. The rest are same.

Anyone else sweating a lot while playing the game? I usualy need to change clothes and/or take a shower after a longer session. Intense game.
I'm not doing well in the game tough. Constantly finishing place 9/10 or worse. I don't know how people manage to pull off these insanly fast lap times.

I also find that they should reduce the qualifying time between the races. It's unnecessary downtime.

I'm getting clobbered in this Kyoto track with the Gr4 cars. They're too fast at a lower SR level where people are overshooting turns or just being jerks. In fact all of these events are kinda bad for SR. Interlagos is very high skill, and Alsace is tricky plus has the tugboat TTS. They need to always include one SR haven event.

edit: whoa I just refreshed and they changed

N300 -- Nurburgring GP - 2 laps 12 cars (fixed: TTS)
Gr.4 -- Dragon Tail II -- 3 laps 16 cars (BoP)
Gr.3 -- Interlagos -- 10 laps 20 cars (BoP, fuel and tire wear)

Any tips for mission 8-6? I think I will be going crazy. I tried it with the Beetle and now I'm driving the Audi R8 LMS. I always go for one pit stop. I tried going the whole race with R1 tires. Then I tried starting with R3, changing to R2 or vice versa. But the best I get is the 4th position. This race is driving me crazy.

8-6 and 8-7 are the only ones missing and then I would have everything in gold in the missions.

I'm leaning towards Alfa! You?

Leaning towards Alfa Romeo/Nissan at the moment, the 4C Gr4 is a beast in some circuits, but the GTR Gr4 is my favourite car and competitive in most circuits. Decisions, decisions...

Dragon Trail should be fun on reverse and Interlagos is dope, but seeing that TTS again hurts my feelings

Ahh damn, these screenshots really make me want to pick this up. Just can't justify it after just buying Mario, Assassins Creed and Call of Duty. I guess I should buy GT over Call of Duty, but I can't see that happening.

Whilst I appreciate the visuals in this game are excellent, it wasn't really impressing me the way I thought it would, till I switched off my HUD entirely and suddenly the game is a lot more realistic and visually appealing. It's crazy how much a HUD takes away from the realism of a scene.

Won my first racing yesterday on Kyoto!
Somehow RNGesus puts me in a field where I was the pole position with a 0:40:735 (the race before this one I was 9th).
Despite being nervous as fuck the whole race, I was consistent all the time.

Are you comparing them to other racing games? Because I do bot see any other racing game that loks as good.

Other games generally, but I still personally feel DriveClub looks better. The IQ might not be comparable, and obviously it runs at 30fps, but in motion to me it still looks and feels more realistic, CGI like and dynamic.

Consistency is key indeed. For some reason I was put in pole position with a 3 second gap to the second guy. I was very inconsistent during quali so I was dreading the race. I decided to race at 90 % and that was the key. With only one incident I was able to win by 12 seconds. Those backmarkers get the heart racing though.

I don't think I'm playing until we get weeklies again. Right now there's ~20% of variance in qualification times, a higher degree of bad drivers on every track, and close to half the drivers don't finish the race. It's not fun.

I think it's a reasonable request to have weeklies. On the other hand, I think the upcoming events are meant to take on this role.

Congrats! Nice driving you put out there. Gran Turismo Sport is the PUBG of racing games: winning is both exhausting and satisfying as hell lol

It's almost as if there are other increments of time between 1 day and 1 week that could possibly be some middle ground? PD already discovered the 25th hour in a day, surely they can discover this magical middle time frame!

I'm fine with dailies changing everyday unless they change number of events from 3 to 6 or something. At some point they're going to start repeating them and you don't have to practice that much. I find myself hitting the wall (figuratively) by 5-6th lap during qualifying so its not a big issue.

I still can't get rumble to work with G27, dunno what I'm doing wrong. The DS4 actually gives me better feedback of the road than the wheel.

That's odd. Like no rumble when going over curbs, etc? Mine rattles like crazy over curbs but that's really the only time I get any 'rumble'. FFB works though.

Came to the same decision last night. May as well just go to the lobbies if I want that kind of racing.

I don't understand why they felt the need to go to the complete opposite extreme that every event is now changed out daily. A middle ground seems far more sensible here. Have two events that go throughout the week, and one event that is daily. That seems like the perfect balance to me.

It was dailies in the beta. Most people loved the beta and then felt duped when the game came out and they were weekly.

I prefer it this way even though I'm only playing for a couple of hours a day at the moment. There are new races each day and that's what I find enjoyable. Not the monotony of lapping the same 3 tracks for a whole week.

Daily rotation is suitable for a beta/demo where everyone wanted to try as many tracks and cars as possible in a limited span of time. The confusion is when through loss in translation or poor communication PD had a news release during the first few days of launch that Daily races actually meant Weekly races all along, and that is how it was going to be. Then without additional communication, they switched up the races in what seemed like a 3 day span... ok. Then they switched back to daily being daily again...ok. Given this back and forth with little to no communication in the first few weeks of launch is what is causing people to complain. Moreover, there are only ever three events. That is the shittiest part no matter what the rotation period is. Nearly everyone assumed during the beta/demo that the main game would launch with a more robust sport mode. So far that is not the case.

I nuked my S SR on Interlagos with a 458...Tire eating monster. My rears were gone. It doesn't help that people on A are more touchy.
I also don't get why they don't increase race distance or tire wear on these race yet. Pit stops would be fun.

did you try the settings from gtplanet? controller sensitivity 7, ffb torque 8, ffb sensitivity 2? With those I can feel the rumble strips a lot more, maybe not all of them but a lot more than with the default settings

I would've thought it wouldn't, but some posters on the gtplanet thread swear it does, I figured it wouldn't hurt to set it... I really like that combo for the G27 with drivehub

Word, I will have to give that a try. I haven'y bothered playing with any settings other than button assignment on my G27. Man I wish I could change the MDF dial buttons. So worthless, waste of two wheel buttons.

I know if I had to convince my boss of something gathering data from the extreme ends would be the first step.

I get your justification, but that is what testers are for. We are paying customers, not paid testers. This game also had an extensive closed beta and then a open demo/beta. It took all of 45 seconds of logging in to the closed beta to arrive at the conclusion, "three daily races are not sufficient for the prime game mode of GTS" I expect my paycheck any day now from PD. This was also one of the top voted suggestions in their bug/feedback submission forum.

PD really need to hire a community manager if they want the game to be successful long term as the messaging isn't clear enough for a GaaS.

Even just using the calendar in sports mode to highlight changes would be a good start as well as indicating when maintenance is occurring rather than just in the news section.

Nope, no rumble when passing over curbs. It only does its FFB thing when going over bumps etc but not finer vibrations.

I'll give it try. I'll try it with DC as well to see if its GTS related or universal issue.
