Since I sold my iPhone 7 I had to wipe it today and the only backup phone I have is an IPhone 3gs lol. I currently am using it...this is awful. At least tomorrow I will feel like I am jumping 10 years into the future from the 3gs. And on the bright side I am on an unclogged 3g network haha.
I am interested but this also but super gun-shy about getting something cheap that will damage the battery.
Gonna be a challenge to pry this thing out of my wife's hands tomorrow to get a good look at it. Still salty about my December ship date due to Apple's own errors, and the support person at Apple was basically like "yeah we can't do anything. Thanks for calling."

Yeah animoji karaoke is fun. Also the screen is pretty damn black. Like 98% black. You can see the difference between screen and edges at an angle, but looking straight at the phone it basically just melds together smoothly.

I got my iPhone X a couple of hours ago and have been spending the last few hours setting it up.
I'm liking it so far. Face ID is as easy to use as I hoped.
Did the previous iPhones automatically insert passwords into safari before with TouchID? When I logged into gmail and resetera just now, FaceID kicked in and wrote in the password stored in iCloud/Safari for me. That's an awesome feature.

Ah, I've met some pretty cool people in line for products. Always easy to break the conversational ice because you're in line for the same thing.
Just got my X, updating to 11.1 so I can restore my backup. My display seems a bit orange with true tone on, but nice and white without it. What up with that?
True Tone adjusts the color temperature to the lighting in the room. So it won't be strictly accurate, but it'll look visually better in the context of the current lighting conditions
So yes, it will be actually white with it turned off, but the point isn't to be actually white at all
You just have to get used to it then you won't notice anymore. Don't look at your old phone and you won't notice it as much.
After a few hours I went back and turned off True Tone and everything looked dull.

Don't get anything that isn't a dark color. When in doubt just get black.
They look lovely for like two weeks then the dirt makes them look like trash. I bought a light colored one. Never again.

Check out Cosmos Blue. Picked up the leather folio in that color and I'm liking it a lot.
