When does the movie come out? They have a lot of Marvel on the shelves right now, it's hard to imagine them launching yet another line within the next few months.

At least have a set or two for AM/TW, man, Infinity War is gonna hog everything and almost everything is from the Civil War sets.
I also wanted there to be some Ant-man 2 sets. I want another set with Giantman (preferably cheaper or with a more interesting set than the Airport Battle one he was included with) and I definitely want a Wasp minifig.

I'm still kicking myself for not picking up the Ant-man 1 set with Anthony, Ant-man, other ant-man, and yellow jacket.
Such a great little set that sells for WAY more than MSRB now.

Do Ideas sets reliably go up on Amazon right away? Ship In A Bottle is a must-have for me, and I usually just grab the Ideas sets directly from Lego on release nights, but I just remembered I have a $75 Amazon gift card which would be pretty perfect, lol. If they're usually iffy on Ideas set stock I won't take the chance though, I don't wanna get into a situation where people were waiting for Saturn V to restock for months, etc.

They do hit amazon. I don't think you will have issues with this set. I have not seen resellers clamoring over stocking up on this set the way I saw them talk about the Saturn V. NASA is a strong brand. Grabbing on amazon I don't think will be an issue for this one. I mean its still in stock on Lego Shop At Home US. As long as you get it before LEGO retires it you should be fine.

And there is is. It came with nearly 300 of the round 1x1 blue tiles for the water, but It just seems like there should be more...

So I ordered the max allowed on the LEGO store part order form. 200. We'll see if that improves the look.

$12 extra dollars well spent (I love their part order site)

Before it came out I made the joke of one step being "dump all the blue studs in the bottle."

Is that one of the steps? haha

Speed Force set. Yea the plow truck thing is a mess and stupid. The copter on the other hand isn't bad as far as copters go. Reminds me of a cyborg version of Airwolf. Could have been great if they would stop insisting on pushing stupid net launchers.

Lego look at me, LOOK AT ME! Net launchers don't work, they look stupid and they ruin the look of every vehicle you put them on. Stop it. Just stop.

Figs are all cool. The star of course being reverse flash. But truly, which one is the real villain, Barry? Killer Frost is awesome and it's kind of neat some of these figs are coming with basically accessory pack bags full of goodies to deck out in different ways.

Yeah

PROTIP: Get the 20 buck sets as soon as you can because those shits will jump in price a year later. And yet, I got my Anthony set around CHristmas 2015 and I still got charged 10 more base price.

Looks like I have to pay attention to the NY Toy Fair again this year.

Just need to think of a good movie to watch while putting it together. Was thinking Back to The Future or something else like that.

The only reason I NEED that set is to get Reverse Flash. That Jan 1st wave of DC sets was killer for the mini figures.

Enjoy the modular. There are so many "WTF?" techniques in that set. I have harped on the side windows on the second and third floor before, but the way that side awning curve on the first floor comes together is something special as well.

I picked up my bricks on a roll at walmart from an online order. The lady doing pickup in front of me got the same thing lol.

I also discovered where the clearance section is for my walmart so next time there's ymmv deals I'll be looking over there

So I decided to scout around to see if the LEGO Batman series 2 minifigures really were elusive in Canada, and to try and find that sweet sweet Black Vulcan figure.

Did I get myself a Black Vulcan?

IgcXisQ.jpg

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

That damn guitar tripped me up, it felt just like a lightning bolt.

Oh well, Rockin' Alfred now joins my ranks. I'll swing by Indigo to see if they have any, and if not then there's a toy store and a LEGO Store across the street.

The hunt continues.

Coincidentally I was feeling for guitar Alfred yesterday, but ended up with another black Vulcan.

My store still had the 60th anniversy set luckily. Usually they run out long before the website.

I made exactly the same order but I didn't get it because the Yodel driver stole it.

The tracking says it was delivered when it wasn't, so I contacted them and they've said that the driver no longer works for them and they can't contact him. But they're "not saying it was stolen."

LOL =(

To be fair, $6.40 cost is for the LEGO bricks and and $13.60 cost is for the retro-box packaging.

Seriously though, is there some out-of-print or rare LEGO elements in that set to justify such a high price?

Nope, just a limited edition number on the box. LEs have always been a scam, I really hope this doesn't become a regular thing for Lego.

Just started bag 2 of the Diner. Very, very good so far. Already a couple of surprises.

Edit: Step 41 has me just laying pieces on smooth surfaces. That is not very, very good.

Edit #2: Not happy with the quality of the bricks in this set. A lot of the smooth tiles have stress marks on them (all in the same place). Both of the large transparent front window panels have scratches due to being packed in with larger bricks and plates. I would expect this kind of quality from a knock-off set.

Don't forget that one of those pieces is probably an extra one, you should count them just to be sure or you might accidentally put 285 in there.

More than 1. Per thebrickfan:

"For Bags 3, there are three of them which are filled with 1×1 trans-light blue studs. I've actually took the time to count them and there are 289 total studs in the three bags. Two bags have 120 each while the smaller one has 49. The instructions tell you to dump 284 of them into the bottle. If you don't want to count them, you can either just remove five from the total or dump them all in which I did since you probably won't know the difference."

I've been in one of my LEGO breaks for the last month or 2, built the Assembly Square and Joker Manor at Christmas but apart from that I've been pretty quiet. The ended yesterday after spending a day sorting LEGO in preparation of adding Wayne Manor on top of the Batcave. I ended up getting distracted and started building anyway, establishing the style of building I want to go for before I start building properly as I'll probably need to order a mountain of light grey, this is what i have so far.

Nice...

I am the only one that wish those brick-profile bricks would have a symmetric back so that when you use them with a 1-stud shift on two successive levels you have proper alternance for (smaller) bricks?

So i just got some Promo mail from Lego with some "exclusive" items you get with your Black VIP card apparently...

If anyone here got the same mail, there is a pic of some silver/grey looking droid minifig there... anyone know who that is supposed to be?

Well, failed this competition but look forward to the next one. Hope we have a higher brick count to mess with, and use an off the wall set

The pics are just examples of past stuff, although having a option to get another copy of that platinum R2D2 just for Black VIP holders would surely increase one's odds

Got my Winter Train, Wonder Woman Brickhead, and Woman of NASA along for the free 60th Anniversary Set.

Sadly I'm in the middle of packing for a move (going from Seattle to San Diego at the end of the month) so I could only open the box to make sure it was all there before sealing it back up along with my other LEGO sets.

So here's something I'm embarrassed to admit:

I've always had trouble stacking 1x1 bricks or plates into pillars and keeping them straight. I hate steps that involve doing this because I can't line them up, and they end up looking a bit crooked.

Today, while working on the Diner, I finally realized that I could lay two bricks sideways on a flat surface (like a damn table) and slide them together. Boom - straight pillar.

Promise I already know how to put my own pants on and tie my shoes.

I decided to take a little trip where I wasn't so restricted in time to try and find my elusive Black Vulcan. I'm delighted to share that Indigo does indeed have a healthy supply of minifgures in Canada.

Thankfully the toy section was quite big and relatively empty so I got to wander around squeezing plastic bags to my heart's content.

I spent about an hour feeling every single blindbag they had to offer, and, after feeling distraught and almost giving up, one of the final bags in the pile felt promising.

I went to the cash with my single $4 purchase and took a chance.

ICrax7l.jpg

I couldn't wait to get home, I had to open it up in my car.

So were my blindbag feeling skills up to task this time?

JDtby3E.jpg

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Nailed it.

I felt the lighting bolts and was a little worried that he might have been Doctor Phospohrous, but I felt the two different head pieces so I igured I had a pretty good chance. I also realized in the process that I want a bunc hof he other minifugres but I'll deal with that another day.

I also stopped by The Bay who happened to have 3 lone series 1 blindbags on liquidation.

After looking at the list of figures I decided the only one I really wanted was Red Hood.

And well let's just say the day's been coming up pretty sunny for the ole' OA-man.

JombNF3.jpg

Red Hood get!

I decided screw it and bought the last two bags as well because it's just that kind of day.

I guessed Orca and March Harriet for the two bags, how'd I do?

lnUix4p.jpg

Woot woot! Right on the money. I also treated myself to the Mighty Micros Thanos/Iron Man set because it was on clearance and I didn't have it yet.

So all in all it's been a very exciting and productive LEGO purchasing day for me.

Oh and I discovered this too hidden away among the endless supplies of Series 17 boxes:

nGXieHC.jpg

So apparently the LEGO Batman Series 2 figures do exist in Canadian Toys R Us, you just have to search for them real hard.

Some Wayne Manor progress, I widened the tower sections (there'll be 3 or 4 of these with connecting structure) but I think I'll take it back to being thinner. I built a rooftop pieces I'm mostly happy with but it's too thin for the lower section, plus I'm really going to need to be tight on parts to built the rest of it all.

xs3b7quuale01.jpg

Dodgy photoshop of the rough plan for the whole thing
oOppQkF.jpg

I'm not sure how but I'd like to try and get the whole thing subtly shaped like a bat, get the two middle spires resembling the to ears, though I'd probably have to make them smaller/thinner than the side ones to pull that off

This is pretty awesome! Love seeing your rough planning photo as well.
If you continue at this scale, that will be alot of lego pieces that is for sure.
