On the fence about this here - had 1 experience over on GAF, and it didn't turn out so good. I know it's the gift of giving, but to give an item I had so desperately wanted myself to someone else, and receive a pre-owned copy of LittleBigPlanet Karting, with a $4.99 tag still on, 2 months late? Hurt a little :( for those participating though, all the best! I'll be swaying too and from until deadline, that's for sure.

Sorry to hear about your experience. You can never 100 percent tell how it's going to work out, and I'd be annoyed too if that happened to me. Hopefully you'll have better luck this year.

Count me in, this is always fun. I've received some excellent and thoughtful gifts over the years, I recommend to everyone to try if you can spare the $$$

Awesome! Glad that this thread managed to make its way over here!

I'd be glad to participate in it again this year!

nicoga3000 - btw, I'm happy to put together a couple of "extra" boxes in addition to my own, as to help cover for any flakes.

They'll be default and not tailored to anyone, but at least it'd help if someone gets burned.

I'm all in this year, missed last year on Gaf but have taken part in prior years.

Love it!

I'm glad to see this continue. I haven't participated before but I had every intention of doing so before the relocation.

Alright!

So after ~100 responses, the shipping is mixed enough where I feel that I can comfortably do the typical "International or No International" shipping as with previous years.

I'm going to get to work on things and will be back soon!

I'm not sure how it was last year(s), but if I would this time pick "no international", would that mean I would only get a TT from Finland (if any), or from EU? Generally shipping inside EU is not an issue. It's when shipping outside EU and / or to another continent the price tends to hike.

I believe the way I will designate it will be this:

International - Select this option if you are OK sending a gift to ANYWHERE in the world. You will be placed into a pool with other individuals who select this option. Note that selecting this option does NOT guarantee an international Secret Santa, but it means you may have an international Tiny Tim. (e.g. You are in USA and send to Japan, but you MAY receive a gift from the USA depending on how the matching goes).

Non-international
- Select this option if you only want to send and receive gifts from within the country you reside. Exceptions may need to be taken where you may be required to ship within your continent.

The continent requirement really only happens when we have 3 or 4 members from Asia who want to do non-international. As a result, they will have to be mixed together for intercontinental shipping.

For non-international, can EU people have a Tiny Tim from a different EU country? I'd be okay with that, shipping inside the EU is not really expensive (even if it's a different country)

Yeah - you're matched only with people in your "grouping". So non-international USA, EU (if required), Canada, etc.

I'll give this a shot, since we probably aren't going away for the holidays this year.

So glad I participated last year and it was fun seeing what other people got from their Secret Santa's. I hope to be a part of this again this year.

I filled out the form! I can also help with one or two extra SS gifts if something comes up (they'll be largely generic though).

When I launch the official form, I'll put a spot in there to indicate that you'd be willing to help out accordingly with "lost" gifts. Thank you guys!!

I'm working at Microcenter for the holidays, so participating this year intrigues me... I have food for thought but I'll definitely wait until plans become more concrete before I sign any forms.

Absolutely in. I was in a shitty relationship last year and the GAF Secret Santa were the only presents I received.. really cheered me up during a tough time.

I might have missed a post but there isn't a sign-up form as yet, right? The only form currently available is the mail survey?
