I almost never take my switch with me. Maybe I need a case. I really just use it docked.
I did with a DS, maybe because it fit in my pocket and I don't wear giant cargo pants.
Do most of you use a Switch case?
Hey Switch Era, a question. Do you think a major game could get announced and released all before E3? Switch is the only platform with me right now until Wolf 2 and Yoshi release, there's not much to play on the system right now. I'll get Kirby but honestly it's an 8 something hour game, wouldn't keep me busy long enough. There are Attack on Titan 2 and Atelier Lydia to but I'm not done with their prequels yet.
I need games, console ports preferably. I'd love Switch versions of recent games like Yakuza 6, Dragonball Fighterz, FFXII, Dissidia etc.
Pretty sure DBFZ will make it by summer myself, it's already has scaling done due to the pc version, and we know teams familiar with it's hardware can port games quicklyHey Switch Era, a question. I did a Google search for Best Buy Pre-Owned video games and the page it sent me to on Best Buy's website was broken. Weird. I would imagine they still sell pre-owned games since they are still doing video game trade-in. Have you stopped by an actual Best Buy store to see if they still have a pre-owned section?
Something like this might help:I wanted to make my own thread, but I don't think I can yet, anyway.
I have pretty big hands and the joycons are tiny. I thought it was just a muscle thing and that it would eventually get better, but it's not. It causes my hands literal pain to play in handheld mode for more than an hour at a time. Does era have any recommendations on how to fix this? I've seen there are some grips that make the joycons bigger? Have those helped anyone with a similar issue?
Have 25€ on my eShop account, and have the following games; SV, Rocket League, Gooner, EtG, Golf Story, The Escapists 2. So what could you recommend me?
Thanks, I'll turn it off when storing in the case.Polioliolio the sleep mode uses a bit of battery as it often connects to the Internet to check for updates and new queued downloads, but also to be woken up by any Joy-Con or Pro controller if turned on.
It's the same with Joy-Cons and Pro controller, as they can be turned on and "searched" with the console, they often look for the console so their battery drains a bit if not used.
If you want to keep your Switch in its case for several days, you should turn it off.
The 3DS lasts 3 to 4 days in sleep mode (StreetPass, updates and queued downloads), but it does not have to check for wake up signal like the Switch does.
I just took the plunge and bought a Switch after swearing I'd never buy a Nintendo console again after my disappointment with the Wii U. I blame my fiance, pretty sure she is a warlock or something. Anyway, should I bother keeping my Nintendo account or just start over? I had some classic games purchased from the eShop on the Wii U, but I don't know if I'll be able to get them on the Switch too? If I can't I'll probably just start fresh. So is it possible to redownload previously bought eShop games or would I have to buy them again?
VC doesn't exist, but link your NNID to import your friends list/mii and in case they actually do something useful with it in the future
Huh, that's interesting. I assumed the classic titles would still be available to download. That's disappointing. Oh well, thanks for the reply.
Well if you enjoy street fighter ripoffs, there are a lot of mediocre Neo Geo games available alongside a fee actually good ones. There's also a small selection of old arcade games including two Nintendo ones that are really good
2) Is it possible to "power off" the console from the Pro controller or the on screen settings instead of having to hold down the "power button" on the handheld itself when docked?
No, but the normal procedure is to put it in Sleep Mode. (Sleep Mode consumes very little battery.)
I love those controllers, I have one of eachGot my Axiom Verge Multiverse Edition and 8bitdo SN30 Pro Gamepad today, both are fantastic by the way:

Not sure about any Bluetooth controller but the 8bitdo ones work and I think there are a few others. That controller looks amazing. Can you connect any Bluetooth controller to the switch?
Yes, and check this out:Hi folks, a new Switch owner here.
I have so many questions regarding the system, but for now this is the most important one.
Can I use my DS4 on the Switch? If so, how?
Pro controller is out of my league. It's like $80 here after importing.
So I called my Best Buy store and from the sound of it they don't carry Pre-Owned games anymore. Called the customer service and they kind of gave me the run around, mostly because the reps had no idea what I was talking about lol.
Since the entire preowned section got pulled off the website, I kind of take that to mean they don't sell them anymore.

Hmm yeah, it seems that it's quite pricey here. I could get another DS4/XB1 controller for a magic NS. Is it possible to use it wired without the converer?
The Xeno Pro Controller is not much better. Maybe it's a bit of a lottery and some are better than others, but I would qualify mine as "bad" and not especially usable without the tape mod.Hey, got a question regarding the Pro Controller.
So I always wanted to get one, but the issues regarding the d-pad made me hesitate. Now I've read somewhere that the Xenoblade Pro Controller completely fixed the d-pad issues, which is great news.
My problem is that I don't like the look of the controller and I'd rather get the standard one. So question: Did Nintendo also fix the issues in the newer grey Pro Controllers? And how do I recognize a fixed Pro Controller (serial number etc.)?
It didn't. My Xen Pro Con has a mediocre d-pad.Now I've read somewhere that the Xenoblade Pro Controller completely fixed the d-pad issues

That said, I haven't heard anything about the normal black ProCon getting updated with the Xeno's internals, but I could be wrong.
How is everyone's Joycons holding up? The build quality doesn't seem that good. I guess I really should get a Pro sooner or later.
Mine are used at least a few hours each day and they feel as good as they did on day one, and I haven't had a single issue with them. How is everyone's Joycons holding up? The build quality doesn't seem that good. I guess I really should get a Pro sooner or later.
It's just my first impressions, somehow. That's good to hear then, because I'll be playing mostly with joycons on the grip.Mine are used at least a few hours each day and they feel as good as they did on day one, and I haven't had a single issue with them.
