I'm 100% reluctant to do so because of the trolls GT sport threads seem to attract. It would require moderation and I think it would just result in it being locked and us being sent packing back to this thread.

So now I`m definitely for re-run this track, because I lost many points (because of stupidity of mine or PD - canceled quali time), not to mention Jambos.

Having all informations (schedule, results, nicknames, BoP settings, etc.) in one place would be sweet. If we open it here in Hangouts I doubt we'll see any troll.

That was probably just the PSN acting up. I couldn't enter ruttyboy's room, and he was one of those in my friend list whose profile wasn't loading (I couldn't see his trophy level, etc.)

In the meantime we should make sure everybody has Nat 1 or 2 with port forwarding, and before going into quali we should also make sure we can see each other - in the room at least.

My only confusion is, I assumed there'd be separate Gr.3 and Gr.4 driver championships, no worries though.

I should be able to hop on tonight, don't know if I'll make the start because of putting my kid to bed, but I'll try to get on as early as possible.

I'll come up with a solution for that after the next race so that people can easily see how they stack up overall and against those in the same category as them.

It might be useful to have PSN ID and Reset ID against each car, as I'm finding it tricky to remember who is who in-race.

The setting up of this league really makes me wish PD had been more adventurous with online play. It'd be amazing if we could set up custom leagues, custom points allocations, real quali sessions, persistent standings across the events, etc. Oh to dream.

Another question: is it ok for drivers within a team to swap classes as they see fit? Or should we stick to that which we've been allocated within our teams?

Sport Mode just feels like ELO hell now.

Qualify fast, get rammed off every corner, lose SR. Get demoted in Sportsmanship Ranking, meet even more worse drivers who you qualify in front of and then whom ram you off and you lose SR.

Completely pointless.

Five laps and pit (empty tank and front right tire absolutely murdered).

Sorry I couldn't get there until the end, did you manage to discover anything about turning off tyre wear in quali?

That track doesn't click with me at all, the detour onto the short track just feels totally unnecessary and the transition corners between the two tracks are both really awkward. Still, you race what you have to :)

GHG tested it before I belive, changing tire wear "on"/"off" reset quali times sadly. But what about changing between values, like "x1"/"x7"?
I don't like this track combination too, feels really off.

I could see doing five laps with 5x wear on a Gr.4 car. 4 laps on the 458 Gr.3 and I was ice skating. Those long sweepers are rough on tires.

BoP is constant across all circuits. (maybe it shouldn't be, but that's another conversation)

We can't turn off tire wear for qualifying because any time you change a setting in the lobby options menu it resets all the times on the track. So we will all just have to deal with the tire wear during qualifying. At least it's a level playing field :)

x4 is what we settled on in the end. So we will run with x4 tire wear, x7 fuel.

prarts Yeh the times reset even if you change it from one rate of tire wear to another. They reset each time I changed the setting, first from x6 to x5, then again from x5 to x4.

It was set to x4 when you joined prarts .

x4 should give a nice balance between giving people the option to run with softs or mediums with various fuel strategies.

Yep I'll adjust it each week dependant on the track. I'll do something similar to tonight where I run a lobby to test the settings and decide on one. That way people can join and I can get input on how other people's cars fair with various tire wear settings.

I'll run the Ferrari Gr.4 tonight on 4x wear and see how it feels, but I'm sure it'll be fine if the rest of you are fine with it. Not sure how the Gr.3 will fare, might get a solid 4 laps out of it before it becomes undrivable.

I'd say that sounds very good! It's 10secs faster than I managed in a Gr4 car. @ Nurburg my pace was around 8secs off the Gr3s

Anybody do the Gr1 race today? Those machines are beasts but still easier to drive than the GT3's. In terms of the Porsche, the gear shifting is incredibly taxing, so much so that I switched it to automatic! I wasn't the fastest but I was the most consistent and was able to win a couple races and got on a couple more podiums too

Just did the FIA race on Interlagos. Even though I just got into C/S, I was paired with mostly B/S drivers...nice matchmaking, PD. I haven't seen so many dirty drivers in one race in a long time. Everyone thought they were Senna, diving in on every corner. And just plain trying to bash me off the track. If this is what the higher DR ranks are like, maybe I should've stayed in D/S.

I just did a few laps in the BoP Gr.3 on SS tires, no TC, and my best was a 2:16.2, so yeah 2:15 sounds good to me man.

Tourist Layout is also big. I think it has a chicane of sorts where the toll booth would be on the real thing.

Just did a 10 lap custom race on Kyoto Y+M with the Ferrari Gr.4. RM tires, TC 0. 4x tire wear. Made it all the way through on one pair of tires, though the right front was almost gone, right back was 75% red, and both lefts were about 50% red. My pace had dropped off quite a few seconds due to that.

Also tried the Gr.1 daily on Monza. Yeah...take my advice, skip it.

Is there anyone practicing for the next race right now? I set up my wheel and would like to practice in a lobby so that I can finally git gud with it. I am not in the championship but would be nice to play with you guys.

The race will last 12 laps so you might want to do a pit-stop around halfway!

Man, those are some nice lap times. I couldn't go faster than 2:27.4 - and that was with Softs! With Mediums I did a 2:31 I think.
I need to experiment more, especially pit strategies. I tried some custom races yesterday, but they were with tyre wear x5 because I hadn't read the last few posts in time.

Mediums I managed low 2:29. I blasted out one lap on SS right at the end of our session and got low 2:26 but could definitely have gone faster. But as you say pit strategy is what it'll probably come down to, and I'm also very conservative when it comes to racing with friends.

The room is still open even though I am not playing (it's on autopilot). I did 2:30 with SS (GR4) and then with M tyres I did 2:31 but could get to 2:30 low at least. Honestly it's a pain in the ass to use SS tyres, you have the in lap, then ONE fast lap, and that is it. I need to get better in the last chicane (I always feel like I lose at least half a second in that shit -.- ) and the first fast corner that I guess I brake too much and/or dont follow the correct racing line. There is another corner that you are supposed to start turning from the outside that I don't know where the racing line really is. If I get these 3 corners well I can go under 2:30.

Yeah won't really be used in the race I wouldn't imagine just to get that one hot lap for your starting position and possibly bonus points for the fastest lap
