It would be interesting to have Helmut Marko as advisor.
lol
It looks cool but the Halo ruins it. Especially on that last pic.
Excited for Alonso winning scream again. Definitely will try to follow WEC this year
"We are very confident," Alonso said. "At McLaren, we've made huge changes for this year. The more obvious is the power unit with the Renault switch which I think has quite a high motivation now in the team. The mood for all of us is quite different this year compared to the last few years. We always had expectations that the season could be a good one for us. But I think this year we have more facts than any previous year. They were only hopes. This year we have more numbers that we can touch finally."
Don't you think they have a reason to be critical of Honda, given the three years of abject failure by them?
It's the worst attempt at an F1 engine in the last 20 years.
No reason to trash talk AFTER you already left them for another engine. At that point you're just being vindictive.
Honda being great would be great. F1 looks bleak until the 2021 engine rules change with Merc winning every title from 2014-2020. We need a hero.
https://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2018/01/31/fujis-wec-race-moved-alonso-can-enter/The Fuji round of the World Endurance Championship could be moved to a different date to allow Fernando Alonso to participate in the race.
F1 Fanatic understands a change of date is being seriously considered to allow the Formula One champion to take part. The race is currently scheduled for October 17th, which clashes with the United States Grand Prix.
I honestly doubt Alonso isn't gonna have a performance drop. Especially when he has to compete in five events in five weeks come June, one of which being a 24h event.https://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2018/01/31/fujis-wec-race-moved-alonso-can-enter/
While it's a bit silly that just one driver could make them move an entire race weekend it would give Alonso the chance to become the first driver to win both WEC and Formula 1 in one season.
Never say never but it's highly unlikely. He's on the wrong team for that, too. Apparently, he's good enough to be used as a bargaining chip in driver negotiations, though. Imagine that we could have Hulk in the second Ferrari seat and not Kimi. What a shame.

Alonso's upcoming schedule: (Excluding possible WEC event at Fuji that currently clashes with the US GP).
I have no doubts that ALO can physically cope with the challenge, but that schedule looks mentally exhausting.
He went through 3 years of McLaren-Honda after 5 years of being regular runner-up to a young german boy in a politics-riddled Ferrari team.
I think as long as his car doesn't break down all the time, his mind will be fine.
There's a triple header after Le Mans, he actually has four GP's and Le Mans for five weeks straight.June is pretty crazy. He has GP's a week before and after Le Mans.

Never say never. It's always possible to pull a late Jenson or something. He's good, but the window may be shut with all the young drivers coming in. He'll never drive for a top team now.
You know, I think it's good Honda got out of this toxic environment.
He's probably waiting to see how shit the McLaren is before bailing on the Monaco GP again.

This doc is going to be very revealing, I hope.
