Points count as payment fo promo's. You can pay all with points and still get the promo if the worth of your order exceeded the treshold

Cheers

How is the snow Speeder? I was a bit down on it, but for large sets I'm pretty happy keeping with OT ships and I already have imperial shuttle, x-wing, tie fighter and the motorised AT-AT (pretty much a UCS).

Bought the bank to get the anniversary set. Still want to grab the Falcon and Ninjago City as my next big purchases when I get the chance. Hoping I can hold out for double VIP.

Snow Speeder is great.
I just wish it was 30% smaller... Snow speeder having its own scale is annoying. There's already a bunch of different scales for other UCS... XWing can be alongside TIE, Falcon is quite close to Slave 1 and non-UCS XWing/TIe. Snowspeeder? Well, it's out of scale with everything :(

Just started Ninjago City (first 5 bags in 2h45). It's really nice except... stickers everywhere.

At this pricepoint, I really think it's bad. Tiles/flags should be pad-printed.

Ship in the Bottle designer video. Still the new style - more personal, less product. If you watch carefully there are some early versions with different ships and bottle styles...

As planned, jumped in on the Diner with the free anniversary set today. Cashed in my points and paid less than $40 out of pocket. Too lazy to go to the store so I have a few days to wait for delivery. Still need to put together my First Order Heavy Assault Walker too. My purchases have definitely slowed down a bit - but that was my plan. Creator Expert modulars and Star Wars sets going forward.

My brother had picked up a Lego gift card for me for Christmas, but had forgotten to put it in the card he mailed me over the holiday and then misplaced it. I never even knew he intended to include a gift card until today so I got a nice unexpected surprise when he sent me a text with a picture of the code on the back this morning. It had fallen between the seats of his truck and he found it while cleaning. Yay! Picked up the Diner with it and I am just too excited for it to get here.

Seems like I may be the least excited about CMF series 18. There are a few that I think are great. Dragon and the brick costumes are the top 3 by far. I like the new mouse mould. As cute as the guy riding hirse and car costume are, something about them I kinda don't like. Same goes for the cake guy.

Nah, I'm with you, love the Brick costumes and a few others, but not in love with the theme overall.

I think my favorite non-licensed CMF series was the Halloween one with Dr. Jekel and Mr Hyde (one of my personal favorite minifigs), and a bunch of other classic movie monsters.

Those brick costumes do look to scale, I wonder what the back looks like? I'm also wondering whether you can actually build a minifig into a wall.

Will it be online only or in store too? Also PhoncipleBone it might be too small a period, but this would make a great building competition setup

I doubt Lego would allow that. The possible outcome for MOCs are a little disturbing...
Well, unless the top studs are out of scale (which I strongly doubt), it's already too late, they "allowed" it.

Having holes in the back would be slighly easier, but a tile underneath and bricks above is sufficient.

I don't think it matters, though, horror stories or crimes scenes in mocs is hardly new... and I've seen more distirbing then this idea of someone in a wall (which has already been done)

All the Speed Champions talk on discord made me put a couple of the main ones I wanted together.

Lioelvx.jpg

Corvette

1kEC9di.jpg

Mustang GT

I've been sick with flu and had temergency had to run my mom to hospital this weekend who came down with same but hit her hard with copd and heart failure.

Anyways, boy I hate stickers. I've hated them since OG Transformers days. Always messed em up. If you hate stickers you are not gonna have a good time with these sets. And it sucks because the stickers are what makes these pop, they are almost necessary.

I'm not a big car person but I really did enjoy the builds and looks of these. I can display them in my Lego city just fine. I wanted the corvette most of all but I gotta say I like the Mustang GT more with both in hand.

I never use stickers. Just a personal choice.. and I can never get them on straight. Would love an excuse to mess around with a few of those speed champion sets to make some Mocs... if only they were part of a competition hint hint

I sometimes ignore stickers, and sometimes apply them. Both ideals come in handy with MOCs down the line though.

Ponn That looks like a tiny Turbo Track Racer!

TURBO TRACK RACER!!!! BUY IT!!!

I'm just not a car person, sorry. It's why I've had no problem staying away from the D2C creator vehicles. I made an exception for some of these SC sets because I figured they look good in a City setting and the Corvette has been my dream car since I was a kid and the Mustang was my first manual shift muscle car I owned and I loved that baby.

I mean a lot of sets can look good without stickers but I just don't think you can do it with these SC sets. A lot of detail comes from them, grilles, headlights, basically entire front and backend details.

TURBO TRACK RACER, Ponn !!!!
TURBO TRACK RACER!!!!

And Corvette is dream car? Should head to the town I live in now since the Corvette Museum is here. It is quite nice.

And a 60s Mustang is my dream car. So sexy. I hate my brother in law for having a 65 1/2 (or whatever year it is) Mustang. Love that body design.

thanks for this! was waiting for more details. I hope they put a purchase limit on this stuff to combat resellers swooping in.

first off I hope you and your mom are doing better. that sounds horrible.

i love speed champions. it was the first series I bought when getting back into lego.
I also hate stickers and now I mostly skip them and pack them away unless they are part of really defining the car.
I hated how I had to add them on the bugatti for the door area.

i am having trouble finding series 2 lego batman minifigures. So frustrating. Only found a few packs at the Vaughan Mills Lego Land Store but they were selling them for $5 CAN per pack. Has anybody found them in Toronto? I've checked the local lego store at yorkdale and fairview and toysrus with no luck.

Not sure where in Canada that ghostmind and OrangeAtlas are, but they might be able to help.

Not Canada, but I have found locally that they are incredibly hard to find. It seems like no Target or WM in town has any. Barnes and Noble got one box and sold it all, and Toys R Us seems to get one box a week. I picked up a handful I wanted and don't care of the rest, but part of me wonders if this series will be harder to find, not because of low production, but because in some instances stores have TOO MUCH Ninjago movie CMF taking up shelf space. They want to move that before ordering more. I'm sure this is completely false, but this is the first time in years that I've seen such a CMF drought 4 weeks after release.

Montrealer checking in.

I feel like I've seen the packs pretty regularly but I might be mixing them up with the Ninjago sets. I'm planning on trying to track down the Black Vulcan minifigure that I didn't know about so I'll let you know if it's a nationwide epidemic or if just Toronto is missing out.

There was a guy who worked at the toy store in my local mall who was a master at feeling the blindbags when I was collecting the Simpsons set.

No clue if he still works there but I need to learn from his tactics.
Time and patience will teach you.

It gets easier the more series you buy. It is also EXTREMELY helpful if they have the box out there to see all the figures and accessories on the sides of the box to know what to feel for. Just gotta look for the unique pieces.

The biggest hurdle to jump in feeling blind bags is just forgoing any sense of shame. With enough time and effort you can pretty much get all of them if they're there, it's just people will be looking at you funny for the half hour or so you're there feeling up blind bags.

I still haven't seen series 2 at all. Most of my local stores were still drowning in ninjago figs when it launched, so I'm wondering if they aren't going to carry it.

The Toys R Us near me had one box of the Batman Series 2 CMFs and they had them on sale too.

Got the last 7 of them for about $22 and without feeling at all I managed to get 7 different ones! Only had 2 that I really wanted (Superman's dad and MerBatman), but I was impressed I didn't get any dupes.

Really wanted the Wonder Twins and Zod, but oh well. I'm sure I'll find them at another store soon.

Hey Lego fans, I am visiting Austria Innsbruck next week and I was wondering if there are any Lego shops I should be checking out. (doesnt have to be official Lego store).

If any fellow from Austria could give me a heads up I would appreciate! Thanks!

Really interested in those Architecture sets.

Statue of Liberty and Great Wall of China can be great if some well (and Architecture sets have been a lot better than they used to be).
