I already bought it and installed, but still not touched. I need to finish some other games first.
I am excited like you are.

Toma how have you found the AI so far? I seem to recall most of the negative launch reviews being about performance/bugs and the AI being pretty dumb. It looks like they've been active in fixing any performance issues or bugs the game had.
Hmmm good to know nearly plunged for the ps4/vita version will wait a bit too first then!I was gonna buy it, and then one of the people who helped with the PS4 port strongly hinted at a Switch version, so I'm waiting.
I dont think the AI is anything revolutionary, it basically seems to adhere with standard stealth game behaviour. Predestined paths, sight cones, etc. Its not an in depth simulation by any stretch, but I view stealth games as intricate puzzle games, which works for Seven as well. It also helps that the game has quite a bit more to offer than the stealth mechanics, since every part of the game seems surprisingly well realized. I did not expect this game to be that expansive, I am quite impressed actually.
Is 7 that good? Is it like Styx but with more rpg elements? Steam reviews aren't looking good on that one, made me hesitant.Seven: The days long gone
This game is seriously good so far. I am only few hours in, but it has a ton to like. Its a top down stealth action game, where all mechanics combine to a pretty fascinating and indepth game. You have tons of tools, skills, stealth/action options, a fun combat system, tons of loot, extensive stat system, a very intriguing lore/world that reminded me of Planescape or Shadowrun, unique art style, large areas to explore and they pulled off some serious black magic with the graphical settings so that it ran fluidly on my notebook. People reported some technical issues, but I havent encountered any so far, but it seems like it should be fine if you save regularly.
This ticks all the boxes and its currently 30% off. You really should give this another look, highly recommended with the caveat that I only played a few hours and its like 50+ hours long.

I really liked the first 3-4 hours that I played. Styx is a decent comparison, but more RPG systems thrown in and a more interesting setting. From what I can tell, many reviews are blaming the technical issues, but the game does have quite a bit going on, so I am not surprised some bugs sneaked in here or there. The opening was pretty strong, so I am really curious where this goes and what else they introduce, but I obviously can only judge first impressions so far. Might be worth trying the steam refund thing if you actually run into any technical issues, but I am very much leaning towards suggesting people should give it a try, because I really didnt expect to see so many aspects so fleshed out in that title. Is 7 that good? Can you elaborate more on that fleshed out aspects? Do you find the story engaging?I really liked the first 3-4 hours that I played. Edit: Also try In the Shadows, people. :P
Go to hell good games. After The Red Strings Club and Iconoclasts now I'm also tempted to buy Celeste. Damn.
Looks suuuper weird, nice! Unique world building is a huge plus in my book.
Anyone else pick this one up?Much like how Edith Finch felt like a step forward for the narrative adventure/waking sim, Celeste feels similarly for the precision platformer
The largest element is the inclusion of a narrative that's engaging and well-written; I can't remember any other precision platfomer that even tried to do an actual narrative. And furthermore how the narrative feels in sync with the try-try again-succeed nature of the genre in how it's contextualizes your struggle and matches the player's desire to complete rooms with Madeine's desire to reach the summit
The second element is the more metroidvania-esque design, rather than just going from level to level. VVVVVV did something similar but it never relented, and The End Is Nigh had connected stages but no exploration element. Celeste blends the level-by-level challenge of the precision platformer with the secrets, exploration, and sense of adventure that a metroidvania provides
The third is the Assist mode, and how it makes this usually imposing genre accessible. The precision platformer finally has a gateway game.
Just picked it up, along with a Tesla vs Lovecraft which looks ace as well.Celeste, the Edith Finch of precision platformers

Tesla Vs Lovecraft sounds like it's 10tons finally doing a proper successor to CrimsonlandJust picked it up, along with a Tesla vs Lovecraft which looks ace as well.
Also knee deep into Iconoclasts so it'll be a sweet gaming weekend!
I wish it was an actual roguelike :p (aka turn based tactical combat)Art looks great so it's hard to complain, but man when will the age of pixel art + rogue like stop being so dominant lol.
I've never played Crimsonlamd despite owning it.Tesla Vs Lovecraft sounds like it's 10tons finally doing a proper successor to Crimsonland
Nothing I'm aware of. I just skimmed down a ton of Steam's "Upcoming" list and the nearest thing I have wishlisted with a date on it is eight days out with Remnants of Naezith - http://store.steampowered.com/app/590590/Remnants_of_Naezith/
I've never played Crimsonlamd despite owning it.
But Tesla vs Lovecraft, man ... awesome game. Once you unlock the mech suit, holy lol. You don't get to use it long, but when you do, total mayhem.
Once I finish Tesla, I'll definitely give Crimsonlamd a go.You really should give Crimsonland a try, it has a pretty unique structure for such a game and is still immensely satusfying to play.
Would have expected TaB higher, the others just that amazing for you, or did the game have some lowpoints eventually?Votes
