Fortnite: Battle Royale |OT| 100 Players on Epic Battlegrounds

I'm sad I didn't get credit for a squad win yesterday. It was the first time I got my friends to play with me. I was carrying the squad with like 8 kills the whole match, saved us when a squad rushed our base, I took out all 4 when my 2 teammates got knocked down. All that and we got to 2v2 at the end, they had a ton of rockets they were launching at me and the other was tearing down everything I built with an AR so I knew I wasn't going to last much longer against their pressure. So I pulled out my sniper and did one last peek before my building was coming down and got the headshot knock on one of them. I immediately got knocked out and killed by rockets.
The problem is I instinctively quit back to lobby since I'm so used to playing solos and doing that lol. My friend proceeded to finish off the last guy and won the game.
Sucks to put in all the work I did that match and not get credit. In PUBG I would've got the win credit. Also in PUBG I have the option to reconnect which I don't think there is in this game? I know I could just not hit the quit button but I feel this could be done better to avoid it at all. If I had a rejoin option I would've easily done it.
Anyway been really enjoying this game since starting last week. It's just a bummer that win won't be on my record since it was the win I've actually done the most work in.

I think you should still get that win, as long as you didn't quit out of the party.

Made the switch to combat pro last night. Feels good man. Gotta work through some muscle memory (now I hit circle to crouch for whatever reason), but it's so much better.

They've responded to people reporting it on Twitter. They're aware, but they need to sort out their melting database first.

Don't know what the hell happened. Killed a guy and took over his base with 5 people left. Accidentally put a roof on it and while I was trying to figure out how the hell to edit it this happened.

I think all the LTM's are likely to be squads only, just as there is no stat tracking and its just meant for a bit of fun and variety so people can play with their friends. Not really game types that are meant to be taken too seriously.

I don't think people want to play solo just to take it seriously. There a lot of people that don't like doing squad fill and also don't happen to have a group of friends at the ready to play with. I would like to play this mode solo but... oh well.

That said, I just watched Ninja solo v squad in that mode and won with 23 kills. He's insane.

Look at the battle log. It said Veiny eliminated davis03 with a trap. Apparently he killed him then walked into a room with trap without him realizing there is one. So you basically got a free win from final three.

Yup. Squads only makes sense for some modes, not for others. This and the silencers one should be solo. Explosives made sense for squads.

At this point, Id say wait till season 3, yeah.

It is worth it if you play FN a lot. You get a lot of cool items and it's not badly priced at all for $10.

This season ends on Feb.20th and you can move up one tier a day just by challenges, see what you'd be able to unlock by then and consider if thats worth $10 to you or not. Note the battle pass will start at whatever tier you're currently at for the free pass and will unlock everything prior.

Depends on how much you have played/plan to play. If you can reach Tier 46 by the end of the season, the pass pays for itself with all the V-Coins you get as rewards. Even if you finish in the 20s you'll essentially get half your "money back".

5 games today, 4 ended in me getting randomly headshotted for about 80 points of damage, the fifth ended in me getting boogie bombed and them double pumped.

And people still think this game doesn't have a problem with weapon balance lol.

Edit: And another game lost to the broken headshot multiplier. Oh well, completed my quests, I'm done for the day. Bring on the new weapon system already.

Thanks for the tips. Question, is there a way to set your character model, or is the gender/skin color always random, and only the clothes can be changed?

The default is always randomly selected from the base set, if you purchase a skin its always that model, the race/gender doesn't change.

Normally i love shotty/snipers, and would even like to see it in this down the road, but right now its just refreshing to play without shotguns.

You need to play a lot. I do the dailies every day, and I play probably 1-5 hours a night. I have 20 something days left on the battle pass, and I have 1.5 pages left to unlock. If I run out of time I can use the fort nite bucks I've earned to unlock the last page, but I shouldn't need to.

I'll probably get the next season pass, there aren't many releases in the next few months so I'll keep playing Fortnite.

I respectfully disagree. Having to play with what you get gives certain people some much needed perspective. As for those that can't take, they are not needed on the game. Of course, the cynic in me knows tons of racists will just buy any of the white male or covered skins instead. I wonder if Epic knows this.

What drives me crazy at the moment is that the friend bonus isn't working for 4 or 5 days now and nobody seems to care. Tweeted the developers several times, not one response, several reddit postings and a thread in the official forum, not one comment from anyone.
Does nobody care? I mean it hugely affects the leveling process and more important, the battle pass for that people have paid for.
How can I get the developers to acknowledge this problem?

Speaking of Halo gametypes, imagine infection in this game.. games will boil down to a handful of players building massive fortresses to try and survive against a horde of zombies.

Survivors spawn with extra resources / earn more when collecting, more traps to pick up. Infected can only use certain weapons.

Man, I suck at this game. When it comes to a firefight, I always lose. The only way I break top 30 is to simply find a good place to bunker down and hide. Even ambushing from a hiding spot I end up shot dead almost immediately.

Am I missing something or am I just that bad?

Focus on using ARs (not burst, though). A green AR can get you through a lot of jams.

Always prioritize carrying shields if you can.

Get better with shotguns to defend yourself in close quarters.

Learn to build basic 1 square cubes with ramps for quick cover and high ground.

I've pick up on most of those already. The building I haven't really got into. I tend to try and stick to the pre-built structures as they don't give away my position. I've actually rarely had the chance to defend myself in the open as more often than not I get sniped or at the very least shotgunned in the back before I can react.

This guy REALLY wanted the high ground. Not sure what he was thinking though. Sadly, I couldn't catch his landing since I had to defend against the rocket.

Would need to see videos of the fights you're losing. Otherwise it could be as simple as you missing your shots and your opponents hitting theirs.

He means building during a fight. Shooting a gun gives away your position anyway so at that point, do whatever it take to win. Besides, when you're confident enough in your gameplay, you won't worry too much about giving away your position. In fact, until you get to that point, you should be trying to attract as many fights as possible in order to get practice. You should always be building, though. No sense in standing out in the open. And having cover that you can control is the best cover possible.

Lol I got killed by SypherPK in kinda embarrssing fashion to lose at #2 in a solo match. He built a trap tower and I didn't want to fall for it and walk in. I launchpadded to the top of it and was gonna break in thinking that the traps weren't the very top cuz i heard him up there but I should've expected it, obviously traps wouldn't him cuz they're his, but i felt like i could break in and kill the guy before he knew how to react. I shouldve been paying attention to the killfeed and knew he had some extra tricks up his sleeve, but i thought he was just some player copying stuff hes seen on youtube and might panic when i went on top. Didnt expect it to actually be a big youtuber haha. He broke all his stairs in his tower so when I broke in I went through the trap and fell all the way down the tower.
Lol it was a good one, I'm glad I at least made it interesting, but in hindsight I can really think of how I should've played it better.

Pretty cool though because I watch his videos on YouTube to learn from and I've only been playing this game for a week now, I probably had no chance no matter what. I'm sure I will be in an upcoming video now lol

Why not just destroy that thing from the bottom? I can't see what it looks like from the outside but when it's a 1v1, I'll try and shoot out another person's tower to force them to come out and fight.

Also, that might be one of the most annoyingly cluttered streams I've ever seen. Good lord.
