pick rashidThat gold soldier stuff is garbage
They literally keep making everybody jump through hoops for paltry ass amounts of FM

This is generally the same amount of FM we got with the challenges before they nerfed those
Thats not taking into account the rest of the ways they took out too, shit is wack
Well who knows when you'll be able to get it again. I think it's an ugly uniform and I'm a huge Viewtiful Joe fan (the helmet is too DK Mode-like, needs to be a little smaller), but I'm gonna get it because it's available right now.Speaking of Rashid... it just hit me, I neither enjoy playing him nor do I like Viewtiful Joe that much.. idk why did I waste 5000k FM on those two pieces. Should've probably waited for the Monster Hunter event for Ken and Mika. But I guess since I already did half of Viewful Joe I might as well get the other two pieces.

YesHas Ryu always been able to combo mp mp hp hk? I left after S1, but I think I only ever had mp hp hk in my brain for some reason.
So i guess I just wasted 5000 fight money because I didn't get around to playing the Extra Battle last week for Rashid's VJ costumes and I didn't really understand what I needed to do to get it.
So I have this worthless gem and I can never get all 4 to get the costume.
It takes a whole month to earn a costume and fights are so stupid easy that it's more like a formality (or hassle). Why not just charge 10k FM for the costume?
And I guess I can never get the costume, or I'll have to wait who knows how long for it to come back around.
Not impressed. Why even let you participate in the subsequent battles if you can't get all the gems if you missed one? And why not just let people run all 4 battles instead of stretching it out a month?
I'm gonna bitch about one more thing: it costs the same amount in fight money as you get for clearing the 2500 FM weekly mission (thanks for halving it despite giving us more shit to spend FM on, Capcom!), which is also stupid easy and pointless.
What is the point of any of this crap having us jump through hoops doing shit that isn't fun or interesting?
p.s. with the extra battle stuff we now get more monthly FM than before.
He definitely reads inputs. My strategy was to just avoid attacking him on the ground entirely save for a few counter attacks. Like with survival AI, jumping attacks are the way to go. I wonder if it's because by the time you press your button in the air the CPU doesn't have any moves that start up fast enough to beat your attack.Beat the golden soldier twice with Bison. The last fight I was inpatient and played sloppy and he KO'd me. I think these extra battles read inputs and also block your inputs to make it harder. It's fucked up, like some of the later fights in EX story mode.
Seems from reading here the gold soldier AI is kinda all over the place? Literally the only thing I did in all three fights was land jump-in combos. I think it was blocked like twice in three fights.
While that may be true, let's not pretend that stripping out FM from survival without creating another avenue didn't screw over the player base. Adding arcade mode to the Arcade Edition and not pushing it as the single player attraction with FM is incredibly asinine. Furthermore, weekly FM used to be pretty much guaranteed whereas now they expect you to gamble with it.
Given that they removed all single time FM gains, it makes sense that arcade doesn't allot any. Peeps wanted their AI ladder with ending bit, they got it. Not like they didn't give ample time beforehand to torture yourself with survival, getting rid of any reason to play that sorry mode is a mercy. While that may be true, let's not pretend that stripping out FM from survival without creating another avenue didn't screw over the player base. Yes.Is survival still the only way to unlock colors without buying them?
I'm not sure if it's really asinine when what Capcom wants is for people to engage with the game online, and therefore have a higher chance of engaging with their DLC store. They've made this decision very obviously on purpose.
It'd be better if they hadn't halved weeklies, or if Arcade Mode at least gave you some sort of XP rewards, but it is what it is. I think calling it a gambling is a bit much when we have literal slot machines in other games, though.
I wonder if they'll ever revamp their in-game DLC store? It's a bit cumbersome to roll through all the DLC costumes now
You can limit the costumes to a specific character by pressing triangle.I wonder if they'll ever revamp their in-game DLC store? It's a bit cumbersome to roll through all the DLC costumes now
Out of luck. They'll likely sell it down the line standalone.
