Not anticipating that lobbies could fill up was a big mistake. I was stuck in lobby limbo hell even though I just wanted to exit the game. Why won't you just let me back out of the region selection menu?!

Whats crazy is they have so much room for improvement in the sequel. Mainly on the UI side. They nailed the gameplay, and it's great. If they polish everything out, this could become a heavy weight series in the fighting game realm.

Don't worry It's arc sys, we'll have a sequel within a year for another $90. :D

This ranking system is broken. I'm getting destroyed by guys way above my level and they still get tons of BP for it too.

I'm actually getting a headache using this ui, especially on the move list on buttons that are a combination of two. I think I'll switch back to default controls which I don't like, but I don't like having to figure out what buttons is what on the default controls.

Or maybe I'll try to get use to it, there aren't many buttons or motions. I can't believe they didn't just use l m h but uses the default button config instead, what were they thinking!

What am I missing here? From my experience, as long as you memorize your combos, you're good to go. Just keep pressing buttons like an idiot and sooner or later it'll work. Everything is safe, a fucking string is a frame trap, just keep pressing shit.

It's been working for me. Not seeing any intelligent neutral AT ALL. You just go ham all the time. If you try to set up something you'll just get mashed the fuck out of whatever you're doing.

Krillin's are honestly the easiest of the lot as well. Was honestly surprised at just how easy they were.

I also just ignore the first 3 trials as well. Nothing at all interesting about the fact every character has XXXXXX and YYYYYYY autocombos.

Man having the lobby hub act as the main menu is bad. Even discounting the fact that all of them are full and theres not enough, I'd rather have a goddamn menu.

Anybody have an issue where you're trying to find a friends ring match but it doesn't show up and they're just standing there? Anyone know how to fix?

I wish Tien had some sort of ability with his extra arms, but it is hard to be disappointed with how he came out otherwise. So happy him and Yamcha are super legit in this game.

I never thought I'd take to another tag team fighting game like I took to MAHVEL BABY. That was love on first play.

DBFZ makes me feel like I'm back in the 90's.

Oh my goodness, this game is SO good. After having some dedicated time to lab, I've really been enjoying some of the stuff I've been able to pull off. Android 16 is AMAZING.

Maybe I'll change my mind, but I feel like this game needed pushblock. Neutral and defensive play are not rewarded at all, you're better off just always going nuts and pressing buttons until something lands and you do your combo you memorized in a couple of minutes of training mode because the execution in modern fighting games is always a joke.

Maybe I'm just salty.

I don't know.

Fuck this game.

I think they'll need to make super dash unsafe eventually. Game needs some more defensive options in general. Maybe add in push block or something. Reflect isn't doing it for me.

With all due respect I have no clue why you would buy a Dragon Ball Z game expecting it to be Guilty Gear

or why you would even want it to be that

This is literally perfect for what DBZ is and the audience it attracts

Finally got home from playing at work all day. My 980 can run this at max settings, 200% res and maintain a solid 60fps. I'm ecstatic.

I don't even play Guilty Gear, I'm expecting Marvel. A more casual Marvel, sure, but if anything, having more defensive options would reduce frustration for casual players. Whenever I get someone who clearly isn't used to fighting games, they just get completely destroyed because the offense in this game is so overwhelming.

Deflect (4S) starts in 1 frame. So if you know what to expect, you can easily punish people who go too crazy on offense.

I remember when Wind Waker was as good as most people thought cel shading could get.

This honestly looks like the show.

I think it has to be a hard knockdown and you must hit it in a very specific moment?

We do, it just says No Rooms Found or some shit like that.

We meet in the Lobby and they make a ring, but it doesn't work.

they are currently finding out why rings don't work on consoles

It's half-circle forward + assist button and it has to be within a specific window of the last hit, I believe. I've been able to do it a couple times in matches.

I believe it's a QCF (probably works with QCB too) plus the assist, but I dunno if you can perform it whenever you wish, definitely works when you hit them with a hard knockdown tho.

Only problem I seem to be having is when I get placed into a hard knockdown, whenever I recover in a corner I'm instantly thrown into another combo. I'm not sure if I should just block instantaneously but it just seems like I don't have enough buffer to do so.
