Can you choose an online handle in this game that differs from your gamertag? Like how Street Fighter V does it?

I'm thinking of going online, but it would be nice if people from here could recognize me (and vice versa).
Yeah you can. You also have the choice of viewing that or your gamertag.

The PSN have two sets of Guilty Gear and also two sets of BlazBlue avatars... any chance we will get DBFZ avatars today?

How I'm imagining Bandai Namco are handling this game's PC release.

Wonder what the issue is, a little clarification on the launch time would be nice.

I love the game, best looking fighter in years IMO. Cool idea for campaign, though many fights are pure filler.

But I just wish there was more variety in characters. Sure they look different but many play in very similar way. You can do very similar combos with various characters. Hit, Beerus, 21 and Ginyu seem to be most "different" I guess. Maybe 21 as well.

In terms of character feel/style variety it's far, far below GG Xrd and even a little bit below SF5.

Mine just arrived from ShopTo!

:( I ordered from Grainger Games because it was the next cheapest after Gameseek (I pre-ordered there at £39.99 before the price went up) because I wanted the Blues fast because I thought it would've been a big grind to get them through Arcade or Zenni (before we knew it was just accumulate x amount, and they didn't cost that much).

I don't know why I go with them. I save a few £ but they are always late with the games even when they say shit like next day delivery and how they send their games out earlier in the week so you get pre-orders by launch day. I should just pay the little extra and get them from somewhere else.

I got mine from Shopto when it was £39.80, so similarly priced, I can't play it until later today anyway though :( I usually don't pre-order but if I do it's through Amazon/GAME, both are terribly inconsistent with dispatch times and aside from one time, I've never received a game prior to the official release date. I always hear good things about ShopTo and Simplygames in regards to dispatch times, so thought I'd give one of them a shot this time around.

So is this game playable on a Phenom II X6 1090t Black Edition CPU 3.6ghz? Because as far as I've heard it's DENUVO DRM actually restricting games from being played on this cpu. Realistically the game should run like a dream but I dont want to throw away 40 euro's if it's not playable on my machine.

Anyone have any clue?

Awwww damn :( When I checked (when I put my order in) it was £44 I think. I used to only get my games from shopto for a long while becuase they were the cheapest AND they had that sweeeet sweeeeeeeet early delivery. Then at some point everytime I checked them their prices were on the higher end.

I only pre-order on games I know I'm going to actually enjoy because my logic is "I want to play this as soon as possible, I might as well order online and get it day 1". With this though I think I left it really late because I didn't have the money available and by the time I did my options of places that had it cheap (compared to other places) was limited.

And yeah, Shopto is amazing for quick delivery and I think I've also had early stuff from either simplygames or thegamecollection. I've kind of lost track of all the different websites I get games from ,which is partly why I went with grainger, I had forgotten they were slow because they've changed their website and I can't see my order history on their site any more to know my past orders were Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, bother of which arrived late. I had to look through my invoices in my emails to find out.

OH well.

I cant decide on this, is it genuinely accessible? Everyone says that, but then I keep reading combo strings in threads. I dont want that, I want simple rock paper scissors fighting, where the move choices decide the game rather than inputs.

Watch these character breakdowns, these are the absolute best available and they will rather maximise your hype or show you that it isn't something for you.
For me, it definitely helped to understand how the game works and how the several characters differ from each other.

There are auto combos where you just press the same button multiple times. They are not optimal but they are for people who don't want to deal with learning "proper" strings.

You should want to do combos (either auto or otherwise) because it's a way of gaining meter.

Buy it on steam and if it runs like shit refund it.

Yeah but thats gonna be money going from my bank to paypal, and they will refund me and I have to retransfer from paypal to my bank account lol.

Id rather not be a guinee pig :p. But I have zero thoughts about it not running well since GG Xrd Sign runs like a dream.

Im more worried about the DENUVO DRM not even being able to boot the game up.. :(

This list is mainly for games sold on Steam, but it's top seller on other key seller sites too.

I believe you can cancel into an assist super like that but it has to be during a final blow of a combo. I only was able to pull it off a handful of times on the beta, the timing is tricky.

here's a video -

Regarding this piece of tech that Max mentioned, can anyone pull this off in the retail version? I have tried it with many different timings and I simply can't make it work. Unless I'm missing something super obvious, I'm pretty sure they have removed it.

By the way, I'm on version 1.02 for those interested.

Was making the final deliberations on which platform to get this on. Both had very good points.

In the end, my PC settled the debate for me by crashing and not turning back on. To the repair shop with you, loser!

Found this posted on the FighterZ subreddit.

Really not giving me hope.

At this point we do not know about this. And Bandai don't either. Their release of Sword Art Online was the same story. They told us one time, Steam said a different one, and the actual release was later than both of those. Best just to keep an eye on it, or we will update our store page if we know the exact time for the US.

People have mentioned it may be half circle forward + assist for lvl 1 and half circle back +assist for lvl 2. There has been quite a bit back and forth about this being a HCF or a QCF since it was discovered in the beta, so I imagine it is probably pretty hard to do that not many can confirm it either way lol.

If it is, are these the only moves that you do with a full half circle instead of a quarter circle in the game?

For me I could never get it going with a QC (beta) with HC I got it every time. It HAS to be during a combo though, you need to cancel into the tag super.
