EDIT... Ok GOGO.Zippy thought I had this figured out but I don't.

Is anyone that has an Elite and has this working willing to perhaps tell me what I am doing wrong?

Got mine today, and updated to 1.1 firmware. I am following the steps that came with it (connecting via wire the first time, switching to corresponding console via button combinations, connecting then removing wire) but cannot connect to Xbox. It worked once but never again.

On the Switch I have had better luck. Change to Switch input via View+B, blue Brook LED turns off. Hold Brook button until it flashes Red/Blue, press A. Controller is recognized on the Change Controller Order screen.

Similarly on PS4. Change to PS4 input via View+A. LED turns off. Press and hold Brook button, LED only flashes blue now, but plugging in seems to easily find the controller. Unplug good to go.

Now, this is where I can't figure out how to get Xbox to register. Still on the Switch, I press View+X to change to Xbox Mode. LED goes off. Press and hold, only get flashing blue LED, plug in usb cable from Xbox, nothing. Simply cannot find the Xbox controller this way. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I'd like to use my Elite controller instead of the X1 default controller but I am just not sure what I am missing here.

As I said before, it worked once with the default X1 controller, but now it is no longer working at all with it. Is there another manual other than the one that came with it Zippy? I didn't see one, just the one for firmware installation.

Just picked mine up today, works great!

One question - is the charging light supposed to come on when its connected, but off? I charged it all the way to blue, used it for a bit, but now when I connect it and it's off, there's no charging light.

GOGO.Zippy Would you be able to share the v1.25 beta firmware with me please? I'm on MacOS if that makes a difference. The OneX is awesome - I use it with an elite controller on the PS4 and it's flawless.

Thanks Zippy. I have synced the Elite to all 3 consoles now, much appreciated. I appreciate the clarification on the Always On Blue light too as I was wondering the same thing last night. I did notice that pressing the Brook button once seems to turn that completely off though.

I just got mine today for use with an Elite controller. It was really scary trying to fit this in, as I was afraid it was going to break something. I tried in on an older controller just in case, and it fit, but was not easy. Taking it out was even scarier. I then moved it to the Elite, and got it in OK.

Boy was this confusing to set up. I'm glad this thread existed, because the instructions that came with it were pretty much no help at all. Honestly, they need to be updated to be more clear with every single step clearly defined.

I finally got it working after a lot of trial and error. It was confusing because I realized you have to use a different button sequence to turn it on depending on console.
For the PS4, just hitting the Brook button worked. I can't seem to shut it off from the controller without having to turn off the device from the PS4 menu.
For Xbox w/ the Elite, I had to hold down the Xbox button then hit the Brook button (option 4.3). It wasn't clear to me from the previous posts that each of those steps 4.1, 4.2 or 4.3 were different methods depending on the controller type, and only one way might work.

Otherwise, it seems to work just fine, and is a nifty device.

One concern I have with the Elite is that the sync button is also used to disable the paddles, if I remember correctly, and this covers that up. The could be a bit of an issue because it fits so tight, I fell like I'm going to break something by taking it out.

My only other issue so far, and it's kind of a big one, is how the touchpad buttons are mapped. I would like the menu (select) button to function as the touchpad click rather than the Brook button which is so stiff, it's not very functional in that regard for games that use it. This was an issue with the Brook USB adpaters initially, but they kindly provided a firmware option. It looks like from posts above that there is a beta one that swaps them if I understood the previous messages correctly.

GOGO.Zippy Could you provide the firmware that lets the View button function as the touchpad click, please?

Hey Gogo.zippy, any idea when places like focus attack and playasia will actually get these in stock? Is the delay because you're retooling this thing because of the consumer complaints? A Canadian distributor would be ideal as we can then avoid duty and ridiculous shipping fees. Right now ebay sellers are overcharging for this item, hopefully you'll resolve this stock issue so we can purchase these at MSRP.

Has anyone bought one of these off of AliExpress? Is there a knock off version of this I might get stuck with?

I read some people on KS have a burning battery smell when charging the controller, has anyone else experienced this?

I got my adapter today and plugged it in. I can turn my xbox on fine but I can't get it setup with the switch or ps4. The adapter itself never lights up.

1. Hold on Brook button for 3-5sec, Brook LED flashed ON/OFF & XBOX LED turned on
2. Press down View + A(PS4) / B(SWITCH) / X(One) / Y(PC) until Brook and XBOX turned off then X One Adapter will setup in correct mode.

Could you help me understand something?

This is assuming you already registered the device with both the PS4 and Xbox
Starting with the PS4, Xbox, and controller all powered off:

Is there any way you can choose to start up either console immediately from that state?
or
Do you have to do the mode switch step to the appropriate console you want to power on first? (by holding Brook button until flashing, then View + button)

I thought you could turn on either system with everything powered off regardless of the last mode you used without having to do the mode switch first, but I might have been mistaken.

Appears I'm dumb. Nothing to see here. It is working now. Not sure where I went wrong but the LED now lights and accepts inputs. Updated the firmware and good to go.

I'd like to know this as well. I had hoped to remain lazy and never get up again!

You must to change correct mode to start up console.

It's easy to change mode..
If adapter is in power off mode, please hold on Brook button for 3~5sec. The Brook LED flashed on/off and Xbox LED turned on, then press down View + A(PS4)/ B(SWITCH)/ X(One)/ Y(PC) button to change mode until two LEDs turn off.
You can press Brook button to start up (PS4 or Xbox One) consoles.

In future, we will add function to start up SWITCH console.

I got everything working. The whole issue was on my end. I'm bad and I'm dumb. You guys put out an awesome product. Can't wait for being able to wireless turn the Switch on and weeeeeee. This feels perfect for Shadow of the Colossus and Splatoon 2.

Mine got here today. So what exactly does the beta firmware do? Is it something I should want?

Edit: Oh, it swaps the share and touchpad buttons? Yes, I do want that. GOGO.Zippy is there any way I could get that? Thanks.

Yup, grabbed it and it works great. Battery gets a bit hot while charging, though, but I like this more than my Cronus so far.

Finally preordered the 1.1 revision from Focusattack to hopefully have it soonish. I kind of miss using my Elite to play Destiny 2 on PS4 but didn't want to be tethered. Also to have a makeshift pro controller for Switch.

Hopefully they make a USB-C version of the adapter if the rumors of the next version of the XB1 Elite controller pan out.

I have the 1.0 version with updated firmware and it works great. My understanding is that the 1.1 is mostly small design tweaks.
