That additional Beta day on Xbox works as expected. I can't find a match because the game gets a disconnect after a couple of seconds. That's how you show off your game right before release.

I had no issues getting matches until I hit the higher ranks, but that was because there weren't many people at my rank. It matched me with the same couple people for the last 5 matches or so.

If you remove Golden Frieza (which doesn't show up in story mode) then I'd say it takes place before Resurrection F, but I don't have a way to confirm that.

I don't really think people will have 7 bars very often at higher levels of play. Maybe I'm just theory fighting here, but once you have 3-5 bars you generally want to use them to finish off characters. Holding for 7 bars likely won't happen unless you're just getting beat up.

Just tried the beta on Xbox again and it's like night and day compared to the last Beta.

Waited less than a minute between matches, no noticeable lag in any of the matches I played. Played 10 matches then had to head out.

Previous beta only managed to find 6 matches in about 8 hours!

I've just re-ordered the game!!!

Looking at Maximilian's Tien breakdown his Neo Tri Beam looks incredibly circumstantial. I'm not sure you want to put that thing into a regular combo, and definitely not against the opponent's point character considering the opponent still retains recoverable health while in most exchanges it seems like Tien, at maximum, can lose just as much full health as he dishes out. It looks like a desperation move more than anything and I reckon that means he's better used as an anchor character.

The few story mode scenes I've seen had dialogue that suggested that it takes place after Resurrection F (specifically, the Super version of events).

There's a scene in particular that explains that the power seal stuff is why Goku and Vegeta don't go Blue, or Frieza Golden.

In arcade mode every opponent team has a name. When you fight against Teen Gohan, Trunks and Gotenks, their team name is Super Saiyan Bargain Sale :)

As expected, I got my ass kicked last night in the Xbox extended beta.

I think I'm starting to find my characters though which is good. However, I get way too nervous when someone is backing me into a corner and also I need to learn how to fight against the rush because people are doing it way too much.

Frieza and Gohan might be solid in my lineup

So I woke up and happily turned on my PS4 to watch the new episode of Boruto and then I saw the game had pre-loaded and my reaction was literally this:

Guessing this is going to be like Xrd where getting Blue Goku and Vegeta is going to be an insane grind if you don't preorder the game?

Was wondering if I should just wait until launch day so I could use that 10% off PSN code, but then I remembered how much of a pain in the ass it was to unlock Sin for free.

Edit: Found it, the arcade route is probably going to be a pain in the ass but that's fine. Might just buy it on launch day.

  • Earn a total of 300,000 zeni for SSB Vegeta.
  • Earn a total of 500,000 zeni for SSB Goku.
  • Complete the Extreme Gravity Spaceship Course (Hard) in Arcade mode, with an A rank or higher for SSB Vegeta.
  • Complete the Hyperbolic Time Chamber Course (Hard) in Arcade mode, with an A rank or higher for SSB Goku.

They are entirely different characters with different moves and playstyles. The only thing shared is the character model in that it's Goku and Vegeta again.
