Thank you very much! :) ''Gibson Girl'' is an art style [kinda a type of primitive pin ups] that an American artist called Charles Dana Gibson created for advertisement in the early 1900's. I thought it could fit the photo nicely. Here is one of his most famous portraits:

Charles Dana Gibson has a much harder style to emulate than I thought! For me, at least. It seems so sketchy but yet it's still precise. Well, I took a shot.

OMG, this is just amazing!!! It is exactly like you said - sketchy but still precise. I just love it. The texture is so intense and clear I didn't realize it was a photo at first.
I love particularly the light in the hair, it is just beautiful. Thank you very much! *o* Completely amazed!

Thanks! I've seen Gibson's artwork before, but never put his name with the work or looked at his stuff all at once. His work is amazing, and it was a fun challenge to do. I'm so glad you like it.

Having zero artistic ability and working with microsoft paint, I realized pretty quickly that I was over my head. Nonetheless, I tried to salvage it as much as possible. I hope you enjoy it in a so bad it's good sort of way, and hopefully someone here who can actually make art takes a shot at this :)

Growing up I really wanted to learn how to draw and one day work for Marvel or DC as a Disney, but I was just wasn't good enough. Seriously, this is easily one of the best threads on Era right now.
