Why is my gun not shooting?!? COD would have reloaded it for me, it's all PUBG's fault! C'mon man.

They should take it the other way, if you forget to pull the pin on your grenade it should just roll harmlessly and be available to pick up again.

You've just fired off an entire clip. Your element of surprise has long perished.

Not going to lie, that made me laugh.

However, I think the noise argument is this:

I just walked into a house and unloaded a clip into someone. I might want to wait a second to see if I hear any footsteps on the second floor or someone else reloading. We have the choice today whether we want to wait or not. The key is we have a choice.

The noise doesn't really concern me though. My thing is why would we expect guns to reload themselves. To me, the idea is just silly. If you look at the clip I posted on the previous page, I had unloaded a full clip into a car (wasn't shown) and then took out a grenade to get what I thought was one other enemy. Do I blame the game that I got murderized by the enemies I ran into? No, because my dumb ass forgot to reload my weapon.

Dumbing down the gameplay is not the answer. There are other games that can and will do that. This is not like those games (thankfully). I don't expect guns to reload themselves and it's really not complicated to hit a button to reload. Gameplay is fine.

I agree that manual reload works great in PUBG and never did it cross my mind to be an issue.

The game does need a tutorial though, it is kind of crazy how this game uses so many of the controller's buttons, but I like it.

This reminds me very much of elite dangerous. When that game came to preview there was initially no info in game. You had to look online on how to do basic things. They got it flushed out by the end though.

The auto run seems pretty useful, but I didn't really notice any other improvements when playing post-patch. Great to see them continuing to patch the game so often.

No obvious performance gains this time? I really question if they have it in them to optimize all the 15 fps situations. I know the conventional wisdom is that the CPUs aren't up to the task, but things like molotovs and exploding cars really tank the frame rate at times.

I'm going to love the autorun feature, I use it all the time on PC.

Pretty disingenuous. I want good convenient controls as well, but not at the cost of dumbing down mechanics to support them. I mean, I guess if you want an option where grenade cooking is automatic I'm all for that. But another tenet of AAA console derpnades is that you can cancel out and put them back in your pocket. You can't have them both without completely ignoring how grenades work.

Whoops my bad but you do have more than one "I wish it were more like COD" complaint after all. But it's much the same thing. An auto-run button is a convenience and choice on how to play the game. Auto reload on the other hand makes it so that you have no punishment for not realizing your gun is empty. Because that's what you're saying, you shouldn't be trusted to know when you're out of ammo and press the reload button, and someone who does a good job of paying attention, and isn't caught out trying to fire an empty gun for 2 seconds shouldn't realize any sort of advantage.

Who in their right mind doesn't pay attention to that big graphic at the bottom of the screen telling you how many bullets you've fired? And if the zero wasn't enough to tell you you're out of ammo it actually turns a bright red to emphasise the fact you're out of bullets.

I still don't see how having it reload when you press the trigger rather than holding X makes the game dumbed down, but if that argument makes you feel like a big intelligent man then by all means carry on.

By the way, I'll say it once more because your incredibly massive brain is obviously crammed full to remember, I never said I WANTED auto reload added to the game. I said it was a little annoyance. Just a little throw away opinion I had. That's all. If I knew it'd cause such great minds to rush out to tell me how stupid I was I would have mentioned it weeks ago.

Hmm.. nice lil update.

I'm still waiting for the map cursor to not be inverted when my Y axis is.

And.. the spectator UI is still bugged in the squad members area.

Oh, auto-run is a great added feature! I use it loads on the PC version. With such a large map (and such a lot of running!) it's a great QoL upgrade.

Me. Though admittedly back then on the PC test servers the numbers weren't quite so big and red....

Still, this is probably the most stupid, kick myself thing I've ever done in this game, and I have done some pretty damn idiotic things!

If the time stamp doesn't work, it's ~25.30.

Any players here also play on PC? Is there some auto nosedive mechanic in that? I feel anytime I get a bit of air in a vehicle my front end will dip, and I have to pull back to level out my landing?

They need to fix it so you can enter auto run while already moving. Shouldn't have to be standing still to do it.

Anybody else lagging more now?

And crashing still occurs.

I played a few rounds this morning, and thought it was super smooth but it's usually hit or miss during during peak hours (on X). I'll check again tonight. I only crash in Duos and Squad when accessing the inventory with my character taking some action, like moving, at all. I'll test that tonight.

One of my best finishes in the final 2 circles. Killed the last 5 people (only recorded the final 2) to win the game and did it with only a sliver of health left at the end. Thank you zigzaging.

I'm now #9 in EU Squads. My friends are #1-4. We own half of the top ten leaderboard as of today lol.

Here, duh.
Do people just not check bushes or look for prone players next to trees in the shade? I've ambushed several people in my last few games when they should have, by all rights, seen me.

I'm not knocking it. Hell, I've begun to rely on it a good deal. But I'm surprised by how consistently effective it is.

How do I get a permanent coat? Is it a crate thing? I've been enjoying just driving around on a bike with a big coat on but am always sad to lose it.

Also, was there a buildings update in this patch? I've started seeing some more variety in exteriors, and found a tent which I sadly couldn't get into.
