Man, it really is weird Zamasu is the only assist in the game to not get a avatar. Even the Saibamen got one, but not him. I can only wonder if this is a hint to Merged Zamasu being DLC in the future.

It is strange that Amazon only has the Day One Edition available digitally. No physical version. Also, there is no Prime 20% discount on this pre-order. I just tried it on another game releasing this Friday (Monster Hunter), and the discount applies just fine. Does anyone know if there is a reason this game doesn't have the 20% Prime pre-order discount?
Contact a amazon rep maybe there's an error going on, they usually apply it right away.

I feel any character without a lobby avatar might be DLC. Which bums me out that Hercule/Mr Satan has lobby avatars. He'd make a fine silly joke funny character.

Dat thread title. Subarashii.

Not sure if I'm going to get the game immediately on Friday, but I hope to get it at least early next week. So many other games yet to play, though. And that's ignoring the research paper I still have to write for college. Sadly, I don't think my professor will count FighterZ as proper research concerning the Neolithic Revolution.

iirc the most basic air loop should be (after 2H): j.L > j.M > jc > j.L > j.M > j.2H > super after landing.

Basically you should be able to stick in an extra set of L and M after jumping again and do a ground super after spiking them down.
Oh, you can double jump? ...I think I'll do the tutorial first. All of it.

Speaking of being bad at fighting games, but a DBZ fan, who are the newbie characters? I assume Goku, because... Goku. And I like what I see of Krillin, by which I mean healing and 5x Destructo Disk. That anti-air punish up there will be ugly if the Krillmaster has 5 bars.

But who else is friendly to play? Or should I just be crazy and take in 18 or Beerus as the third? I like Beerus, but... he looks hard to play.

Vegeta is pretty easy to play too. He essentially has a fairly standard shoto moveset with a lunging attack, a rising knee and fireballs. Krillin is deceptively good.

Piccolo is extremely difficult. Beerus has an unusual moveset that will take some work to get down.

Goku, Vegeta, SSj2 Gohan, and Cell will probably be the easiest to pick up, I would think. The initial 6 characters revealed were supposed to be the most straight forward, but I think those 4 are probably the easiest of the 6.

Think I'm sticking with
18
Ultimate Gohan
Goku Black

Sad Teen Gohan won't make it. Might try him over Black

Ah thanks for clarifying ppl.

Also, its early but this may be my fav OST of 2018 (unless bayo 3 comes out)

Japanese melodies and chord progressions are the best. Marty Friedman knows and you should too

Goku, Vegeta, Cell, Frieza are likely the easiest. Maybe the Blues on top of that, haven't seen too much of them.

Beerus and 18 seem like they're much harder, yeah. Krillin seems way more focused on tricks as well.

For ps4 the day one physical I think is just sold out. I preordered the day one a few months ago and on my order right now it says prime savings are still added.

I kind of forgot about Teen Gohan. I don't really want too many Super Saiyans on my team, too much golden hair could be confusing to keep track of, which is great if the opponent loses track, less so if I forget which character is in play for a second.

But a "I don't have the game yet" theorycraft team of Goku/Krillin and one of Vegeta, Teen Gohan, Cell, or 18 seems like a good place to start. With Tien as the "I have literally not seen any footage of the guy" wildcard.

I imagine the gold hair problem could be alleviated by picking a Blue variant of Goku or Vegeta, but I get the feeling that they aren't as newbie friendly as their standard counterparts.

18 is really hard to use since she's a striker character. Try Vegeta or Cell to start.
