It is too bad that you can't offer an option for straight USPS, even if it's a few dollars more. I'd pay for the upgraded shipping. Mail innovations is the slowest shipping around. I seem to recall someone saying you had to look for alternative shipping options because you were overloading the local post office. Is that the case?
Yeah, I looked into it, the reason why we use it was because the post office can't handle the amount of mail we have. At one point they rejected us and made us drive an hour away to drop off our mail.

The tracking bugs me though and I will look into that.

I track the UPS Mail Innovations on my Parcel app.
It seems to work fine. Once it enters my city the app will tell me that USPS tracking will have more info so I switch to that which details it from the local hub to my mailbox.

Odd people have such varying experiences with UPS MI. All it dose for me is go UPS to my post office, where they then take hold of it. Usually not slower or worse than just USPS. Only issue I have with the shipping for a while is that I get a tracking number sometimes weeks before things actually ship, and that's not really a big deal.

USPS first class normally took 2 days to get to me from LRG, UPS MI takes around 5-7

Better than the Ascendia crap that Canada gets left with. Looking at 1-2 months for a shipment on average with terrible tracking.

If you're using the Asendia tracking website, as soon as your package is processed over to CanadaPost there will be a local tracking number/hyperlink listed under "Additional Tracking Info."
Hope that helps!

Wow, that's quite a long wait. I got my copy of River City Melee in about 15 days (delivered to Toronto).

I generally don't have a problem with mail innovations or surepost, but it does seem to take a day or two longer than basic ups ground of first class.

To answer the previous question, I also open and play just about every LRG release I receive. They cost too much for me just to leave on a shelf.

With that being said, I'll make an occasional exception for a game I already own digitally, but these are getting fewer since I don't really buy digital anymore.

I'm also playing as many games as possible, so I only keep those I consider at least good. The only "bad" game I willingly keep is Night Trap because, well, it's supposedly part of its charm ;)

I ended up not buying Xeodrifter at the time because I felt it was the game that represented the fine line where I thought a game was not "worth" the full physical price. Although I still hesitate a lot to this day, but hey : you gotta draw a limit

here's something to think about, it took KT 5 Atelier releases before they thought about releasing the games physically on Vita but the first title to release on switch and it's getting a physical release instantly

Anyone else like me always buy both versions for games they want? For me, I have no idea what system I'll want to play it on. I never buy non-enhanced/plus versions of ports for other systems, but LRG is kind of a one-time chance to make a purchase.

I've had individual games ship relatively quick, but it was cost prohibitive to do it that way for me. This is in regards to the hold service.

Okay, I did not know that! That is very helpful, thank you.

@LRG, who do you actually use for shipping when tracking is done via Asendia? Any chance of using anyone else because my experience has been terrible.

If Vita sold 14 million units in its first year, maybe it would've gotten more physical releases in the west.

I really wanted CS, but I think I'm going to keep holding out for PBBG. Shit this has me actually considering selling one of my previous LRG gets.

The only time I've done it was for Undertale, although I'm seriously considering parting with the Vita version now. I'd rather grow my collection with games I don't already own :x

I must say I'm surprised by the love croixleur Sigma is getting here.
It looks incredibly boring to me, and even the positive reviews I read weren't that positive. What am I missing ?
I was skeptical at how many units LTG produced, I thought it could be too much but apparently you're already lining up ^^

Sky Force I'll probably get just in case, but I haven't really looked into it yet.

Comfort food gaming. If you enjoy score attack arena games, it's pretty fun. At my job we used to play co-op pretty often in the break room.

Cross Darkest Dungeon off the list of potentials. It's getting a physical PS4 and Switch release courtesy Merge Games. Never heard of them before, but they seem to have a connection to Signature Edition.

That certainly doesn't hurt, especially for a niche title like Atelier.
It is actually sad that most switch owners who have never been exposed to the franchise get their first taste with what will most likely be the worst game in the franchise and one which is part 3 in a trilogy lol.

Back on topic, Darkest Dungeon Vita through LRG MAKE IT HAPPEN

How do we know it will be bad?
According to people that have actually played all the Atelier's (instead of leaving them mostly sealed in their backlog like me), they've been getting progressively worse. I'm not sure of that's exactly true, or if people are just getting tired of the same thing over and over and over. But it's obvious that fanservice has been turned up with the more recent releases, which generally is tactic to compensate for other deficiencies.

Starting from Sophie onwards, every new game seems to be trying to be worse than the previous one, and it's a yearly franchise to boot.

Thankfully, we'll always have Totori and the Dusk trilogy.

Well, tbf, it's just 2 games; Sophie and Firis. I haven't played either, but one game being worse than the last isn't anything to be worried about ( I personally thought Meruru was worse than Totori, though still quite good), while 2 games being worse can be considered a mistep or a bad look. Still not enough to be considered a downward trend or that Lydie will be bad. Though if it does turn out bad, it's thankfully the end of a trilogy, after which they try to freshen things up again.

This is ridicolous.
I finally received the PS4 version of Broken Age after they mistakenly sent me the Vita one... but I had to pay ANOTHER 16$ custom fee to receive it.

I mean, I understand having to pay fees since I live in Europe (though I don't understand why LRG offers prepaid customs to many european countries, while others like Italy are left out), but having to pay them twice because of their mistake...

You can contest this. If you provide proof that this is a replacement and that you didn't pay for it, then you wouldn't have to pay. You'll have to look up the actual steps online, though, as I haven't done it myself.

Edit: I should also mention that this is something that LRG should have done on their end, labelling-wise.

i think Italy is usually left out due to the high levels of postal fraud, over the years i've seen places that ship worldwide and generally make sure to note that they will not ship there because they usually end up claiming it went missing

If I ran a business, especially a small one, I would never offer international shipping. It sounds like a nightmare. You just can't win with it. I work at one of the fastest growing startups in the US and we don't offer international shipping, lol.

I received my copy of DD4 in the mail, but the case was crunched to hell and back. One of the manual-holding clips was even dislodged. Not a big deal since I'm a weirdo that buys games I'm interested in to play them and can just swap out the case.

It has less to do with "fraud" and more with "incompetency". Our postal service is notorious here for being bad and very slow (it's even noted in the faqs of the LRG support site lol).

But anyway, I don't see how this would be related to prepaid customs.
Also, unless they changed things recently, it's not only Italy missing, but many major european countries as well (though I can't find the actual list anymore on the site, it even used to say "we'll add more counties in the future" but it actually never changed).

Italy's postal service speed is dreadful, I sent a few parcels before Christmas to Italy and they just arrived with the buyers lol

Not bad. I've been eyeing Wild Guns on the PS4 for a while. Might pick it up for Switch instead with LRGs release.

A good time to remind folks that if you're buying a single PS4 game, it's always worth tacking on a box. PS4 cases are junk, and with small run stuff, $2 is worth the annoyance and headache you'll save when your game arrives in really nice shape.

On the topic of international shipping, I go yardsaling every weekend in the summer for retro games/first party nintendo stuff I can flip to GameStop when they do a credit bump, and I always end up with a ton of doubles/triples that end up on eBay. I absolutely refuse to ship international. It's a major headache, especially with eBay's "the customer is always right" guarantee and the reality that you have very little recourse if something happens.

Edit: Switch release is Flinthook. Pass for me; don't care for roguelikes and I already have the PS4 release.

Yeah.. I imagine half of their switch stuff is just gonna be games they already released for vita/ps4... shame :(

Mercenary Kings for the Switch was also announced:
Hate to be a Debbie downer, but I got this game for free on PS+ and still felt ripped off. Such a disappointment. :(
Hopefully this Reloaded edition makes the game actually fun.

That Flinkthook though!
I'll gladly double dip for that on Switch! :D

I'll probably be in for Flinthook but I don't care about Mercenary Kings. I need LRG to announce Golf Story already.

I really hope it was just a terrible first impression as I never even returned to the game. But I felt really put off by it, which is something that rarely happens to me. lol

they are both pretty mediocre. I felt they shouldve come out of the gate with a bang with something like Golf Story or something exclusive to the switch instead of titles they already announced/released prior
