But in true Belkin form - it's ugly. One of the main reasons I buy Apple products is for design aesthetics.
AirPower looks like a maxipad, there is a absolutely nothing special about its design, it's actually one of the plainest products they have ever come out with...or have never come out with.

Sometimes plain and subtle is exactly what's needed. This will perfectly blend with my white night tables.

That's what a lot of companies don't get, but Apple does. Simplicity and Elegance go hand in hand.

Honestly don't care much about the AirPower except for the fact that it can also charge the Apple Watch, and simultaneously at that. That is a killer feature for Apple Watch users.

Though, my Apple Watch isn't even a Series 3 so I'm sol anyway.

Can't wait for the triple coiled iPad that aligns with the AirPower for wireless charging.

I don't know why I've been feeling this way, but I'm really missing Android. It's really disparaging to read the constant stream of bad press that has come out in recent months.

Managing a enterprise Mac environment doesn't help, but jeez.

I really like the AirPower design, very clean and no annoying LED lights, chrome trim, logos or anything like that. And one of the most annoying things of most Qi chargers is they put that stupid "FAST CHARGE" in huge letters, makes it look tacky as hell. AirPower looks a lot more elegant in comparison.

If it's reasonably priced I'll probably buy two, one for my desk and one for my bedside table/nightstand. Would like a black version though.

care to elaborate? I'm currently thinking about switching from Android (S7) to the X. I like the phone more than any Android device but the switch from Android to ios makes me really anxious.

Let me just say that I don't pledge my allegiance to a specific brand or company. I started with an iPhone 3g, moved to a Galaxy S4, back to iPhone, back to OnePlus, and now back to iPhone.

My biggest gripes come from moving from a "stock" android experience on the OnePlus 3T, back to the restrictive ecosystem that is Apple. Hardware-wise, the X is a monster. Though the more I use it and its old, familiar software, I miss the customization and the small things.

The company I work for was built on Google's enterprise backbone. So like i said, I miss the small things. When signing in to google on Android, it will automatically authenticate because it knows your device. Whereas on the iPhone, you're prompted to open the Google app and click a button. Yes it works fine, but it's not as seamless. Other things like known safe areas, YouTube/Gmail/Maps optimizations, and Google Home integration make me miss it a lot.

I love how things just work with Apple, be it the watch, AirPods, etc, but the phone never feels like it's mine. If that makes sense. I can change the wallpaper and app layout, but that's about it.

And the notification system is a dumpster fire right now. Always has been though.

I am looking for a good iphone case, after I searched Era l found no extra thread dedicated to cases so yeah. As I am getting a new phone, and have been sticking to the same motif for 2 gens I thought it us time for a change.

My last one came from redbubble — tough edition — which really did a good at protecting my old phone. Be it falls to solid ground (1m was no problem) even water; it fell once into the water at a small river because I was looking at the lock of a watergate (while I turned it off right away nothing had happened to my loyal iphone6).

The thing is that they increased the price for those cases (now I dont have a problem with paying a lot for a good case) but then it's supposed to be good looking at least. Sadly none of the designs really click with me.

Before I settle for a product with a hefty price despite not liking the looks I wanted to know if there is another place where good iphone covers can be found.

So does anyone use wireless charging? Is there really a point to it?

I use it. It's simply more convenient. I like being able to just toss my phone on the nightstand or desk and not have to deal with the cable. There are few times when I need fast charging and I just plug it in for those. It's pretty much always topped up though because of the aforementioned convenience

I have my wireless pad on my desk at work, it's the best. Come in in the morning, chuck it down and it's charged back up. I don't even really think about needing to charge my phone anymore.

Shame it took so long for Apple to adopt it, but I'm glad it's here.

thank you, that's exactly the kind of answer I was looking for. :) I think I could live with these draw backs, but it's still a hard decision that will take some time.

I have a hard time believing this but I would be happy as it would make my phone a collectors item.
Macrumors posted another report similar. Basically saying they wont discount price it when the next model comes out. I don't think they want to sell it for less than a thousand so makes sense

They won't keep selling it for a $1,000 together with a new model as the new model
would need to be significantly even more expensive. I think Kuo clarified he means that the current iPhone X will just be discontinued instead of discounted. That already has happened in the past, for example with the original iPhone or iPhone 5.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by 'signs no into google'? Just your account on the site?

I know that's what I was trying to say. They will just flat out replace it

I want a BIG mouse pad where half of it is a wireless charger. Does this exist? The only ones I've seen on Amazon look pretty small.

Yeah, so I have 2-factor authentication enabled on my Google account. Whenever I need to sign in, be it my email, a website, or an app, I'm prompted by 2-factor.

On Android, that prompt is instantaneous in most cases, where as it's not on IOS. Even if I have a code texted to me, Android will recognize the code and enter it for me. These are small things, but you start to notice them a lot once they're gone.

I think I might upgrade my iPhone 6 Plus to an iPhone X today. What new (useful) features have I been missing out on?

3D Touch, I guess.
Coming from an iPhone 6 I have been playing around with it these first few days of X ownership, though it's a bit mean of Apple to make it a requirement in order to activate the swipe to correct feature for the keyboard while they could have easily implemented the same function without 3D touch on older phones as well, see SwipeSelection jailbreak tweak.

I use it on my nightstand when I go to sleep. Much easier and convenient. However, the real benefit is what's to come. Restaurants, bars, stores, airports, etc with wireless charging stations, meaning you never have to worry about having a cable with you.

Hmm. I have two factor on as well, but once the device and account log in is verified, I don't have to go through that again even if I log out of the account.

I do know that the code auto verification works for iOS as well, though obviously for Apple devices.

I didn't even realize they had Opinion Rewards on iOS. What do they reward you with?
