So I picked Frozen and of course his Raza is at the bottom of his deck while his opponent top decks everything he needs...it's like most games of hearthstone I play in a nutshell

That Frozen vs Sinto match was really incredible. There were some incredibly smart plays made especially in that last match. The wherewithal that these guys have is nuts. Sinto's trades and his use of the dragon enabled health swap (can't remember the minion's name) and Frozen's presence of mind with occasionally pinging his own stuff to make health totals awkward. That was really good.

Is there an up to date result bracket anywhere? I've tried the Battle.net site in two different browsers, and neither seems to actually display a filled bracket.

After playing Hearthstone for two months as a beginner (playing Big Spell Mage) I finally made it to Rank 15, I am really happy:)

What is the average rank of a veteran player?

Is it worth crafting Skulking Geist? It seems to be good not only against Jade Druid but also kills Priest and Warlock cards.

I've gone back on teching silence cards, not worth it. Just accept the losses from cubelock and bonemares instead of putting a bunch of dead cards in your deck for all the matchups you actually have a chance to win.

I've fallen way behind on the HCT. Who has been watching? What are the really good matches that I need to see?

Wow, I feel kind of dumb. Thanks!

Unfortunately my normal gamble on Kolento didn't pay off. I'll probably pick Fr0zen next time.
I also picked Kolento, and all day I've had the exact same thought. A year ago I picked frozen and he won 1st place in a tournament, I should have done the same this time.

Congrats. I feel like getting to 15 for the first time was a bigger accomplishment for me than getting to rank 5.

I know the overall average is rank 18, but it's a little hard to say where an average veteran player is because the skill gap between ranks starts to shrink as you get high and higher and so people start gravitating upward at a faster rate. I wouldn't be surprised if the week you first hit rank 9 is the week you first hit rank 5.

I mean, rank 15 is higher than where legend players start their season, so you've probably already faced a number of high rank opponents. Now you just need to handle facing them more frequently.

And I personally don't think Giest is a good craft right now. It's way too clunky against any other matchup than jade to be worth it.

Finally crafted some void daddys and now I can enjoy getting my Lackey silenced on turn 5 every other game. The other games I just draw my daddies before I can play the Lackey.

That tap was unnecessary. But whoever wins I'll be happy.

It's really nice to see asian, especially APAC doing well.

Does anyone else think that the Twisting Nether isn't needed in Thicclock? I can count the number of times I have used it on one hand. I am going to try Taldaram in my deck instead.

Got a Sonya off of the free pack. I am excited to try it out

I feel like it does well in the mirror and against palidian
Aggro Paladin? Once I get a Voidlord down the game is over in my experience.

I can see it doing well in the mirror, but I'm not sure that alone justifies the card. Instead of clearing the board I am usually in a position to make even-ish trades and build my own board. If I were going to Tech for the mirror, I think I would put a silence in instead?

I actually felt bad for this guy who was clearly teching against me and still lose. I play Lackey on 5, and he silences it. So I Cube the Lackey, and then break the Cube for two more. He silences both of those. So I cubed them again and then sacrificed one, and he ended up losing. I would find that experience enraging.

Aggro Paladin is ridiculous, but with an unanswered Umbra on turn four I have put 20 mana in minion on the board on turn 5. That's absolutely insane.
