Is there any way you can stay a week under their roof while you look into assisted living situations? Street Life can be really hard and dangerous too if you're living in a city. The homeless are the most victimized out of all street crimes committed.

My plan short term is to find 24-hour places for the overnights, there is a resource called the "the living room" where I can go during the day and hopefully sleep a bit. Rather be someplace at night than during the day and looking at night.
I'm prepping a bag with some clothing and toothbrush and stuff the following items.
Led flashlight
Pocket apps on a usb on my keychain that way when I have access to a computer I can keep everything safe on my own device.
Umbrella
Pocket Knife
Various usb cables and a battery pack, it's small but will work in a pinch
Headphones
Old beatup DS with a flash cart when my phone needs charging
Refillable container I can keep water or juice in.
A monkey fist (not a real monkey's fist) in case I need to ward someone off without stabbing them.

If I missed anything feel free to let me know.

Got the phone "hopefully" fixed seems the SD card is now cooked, but better than the whole phone...
Ugh not what I needed today.

Again THANK YOU, to everyone...I have a psuedo plan for the next few days so we will see how it pans out...

Good suggestions so far. Another thing to consider

It's getting colder , remember hospitals are there if you can't find a place and your health takes a hit. You'll get medical care, food, a bed and a care manager who will be assigned to you. That person would be able to make contact with shelters for you while in the hospital. Technically they can discharge you if you are stable but a good hospital will make sure you have a safe discharge plan.

Good luck, stay safe

SD or Micro SD? Let me know, I'm happy to send either or to you. Or maybe someone closer to him than me (I'm in Canada) could help you out?

It's not important, I was able to get the pone back up and running, corrupt update borked everything, wasn't a giant card just enough to xfer stuff over.

Sentiment is nice though, and appreciated, more pissed about pocket camp, I was kicking ass and now gotta start over...lol

There are two hotels in Greenfield, MA that provide temporary housing for the homeless. I assume you've talked to people at your local DTA office, but you may want to call the Greenfield DTA office as well and see if they can help you out. I know someone from Boston that got placed there, so they are definitely willing to take people from out of town.

I've been there last year, luckily I owned a car so I didn't have to dropout of college and the weather wasn't to bad.

1. Find friends to couch surf.
2. Get a job right away for income.
3. As many said before 7/11 saves lives but be inconspicuous about it.
4. Shower at Community Colleges gym area.
5. Food banks will help.
6. My college had a food bank on campus that was available for anyone.
7. Go to churches to see if they offer shelter or food.
8. Some shelters get full easily.
9. Look for soup kitchens
10. Library's are a great resource to stay inside, warm, use of the internet, and assistance if you are unsure on many things. Just be open and honest about your problems and they will hook you up.
11. Use bathrooms at Speedway, Malls, Walmart, Fast food places like McDonald's, etc.

Howdy neighbor, I'm at "friends of the homeless" so I have a place to stay and eat for the time being.

I'm down in Enfield, CT, just over the border.

Glad to hear you have a place to stay at the moment. I know you said you're good on food, but hit me up if you need some help there. The Enfield Food Shelf gives out stuff tomorrow, and I'm more than happy to share. There's a church in town that does a daily free lunch too, although I would imagine Springfield has places that do as well - and I can't drive, so I'm no help with getting back and forth :(

I was around Forestt Park and actually walked to Enfield once...
I'll see how the next few day go and work from there.

Good luck, man. Really sorry to hear about your situation. It's very unfortunate that your parents woukd kick you out, considering the stuff you have been going through this year.

It's my aunt, my dad has passed on, and I'm a bit clueless about my mom. Yeah it's been a rough year for sure, but I'm strong enough now to trudge through...

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification.

Once again I wish you luck. I hope things improve, and that this is a just a temporary rough patch.

And for what's it's worth, you're definitely handling this better than I imagine I ever could. As someone suffering with mental illness as well, I have dwelt on this subject a lot in the past. So keep your head up, and stay strong. Just keep trudging forward, and you'll get through this.

I was homeless on the streets for three years due to my heroin addiction. Ive truly been in the absolute bottom of the barrell.

Becoming a follower of Christ is what saved me and changed my heart and in turn changed my life.

I would recommend you find a rescue mission in your area and go through that as a resource.

I know how it feels OP. Ill be praying for you. I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to PM me if you need more advice.

My advice would be to go find a church that would be willing to help out if you can't find shelters. Maybe a Longshot but you could also try going to a YMCA. When I was young and my house caught fire, we went there for help and the owner had many connections throughout the city. We got set up with an apartment and a bunch of little things to get by for free until we were able to get everything under control. Just hang in there and don't give up. You can turn this all around as long as you keep working at it.

I've spent my time soaked in depression and it doesn't get anyone anywhere, coming close to ending it all has given me perspective, and I'll be damned to let things like this beat me...

On a side note it's always strange to see people like this with high end devices. I have $100 phone and I see people here with S8's and iPhones/beats and stuff... Kinda boggles the mind a bit.

Dozed a bit, you'd be surprised the places you can sleep when exhausted. Place is packed today which is why I didn't get a bed, but it beats the hell out of being outside...

Check out a car wash.
When I was down and out (drugs/alcoholic etc..) and trying to get things back on track it was great. End of the day cashing out tips plus emptying the vaccum which had tons of change in it. Would net like $30 to$50 a day.
I always tell people to a good entry level, stress free, job to get back into life... head to a car dealership and be a Lot Attendant/Car Washer. It was favorite job ever. Like $9 an hour plus tips some times. Stress free, hanging with other guys (many down on their luck and know the struggle) and you can find connections. Easiest most fun I ever had working.
I saved up enough for my first apartment, lived on cheese crackers and water till a sales lady said "Hey, you work hard. Heres my husbands business card." Went from $9 an hour to $17 overnight being an apprentice. After 2 years for a bank loan and bought a trailer home for 25k.
I'm 38 and finally bought my first house and have been behind the 8-ball forever but its marathon, not a race.

Anxiety can cause these symptoms.. Hopefully thats what it is. Be bold and dont be afraid to put yourself out there.. Ask anyone and everyone you make contact with for opportunities for employment/assistance. I send good vibes with my good vibinator.
