1. Is there a preload?
From a Steam Community Post
We've decided that RUINER won't be available for pre-load. However, in order to make your lives a little bit easier (at least at the beginning, because later, it will be much tougher, believe us), we've reduced the game file size from 21 GB to 10 GB only.
2. Who is Susumu Hirasawa?
Hirasawa-sensei is a Japanese electronic music composer. The primary source of inspiration for his music can be traced back to the digital technology, the nature of man and machine, and philosophy. His most widely known work is the theme song for Berserk, a lesser known 1997 anime. He also composed the theme song for Paprika (dir. Satoshi Kon, 2006) and Millenium Actress (dir Satoshi Kon, 2002). His style can be described as techno/electro-pop. He can be found in twitter here, and his discography here
3. Why is this OT so barebones?
I wasn't planning to do this OT originally, so I quickly whip out this OT in a couple of hours after dinner. PM me if you feel any extra info should be included.
4. I'm downloading the game now, what anime should I watch in the meantime?

Music and sound effects were awesome. I listened to the soundtrack yesterday and it's great. Effects were all good. Minimal at best voice acting but what's there is good. Would have loved the entire game to have voice acting. Gameplay is excellent once you get used to the controls. The L1 dash/multi-dash was my only complaint gameplay wise. Didn't like half of the skills but the few I used were good. Story was average at best but all the characters including the enemies were good. The boss fights were also good and fighting all the enemies never got repetitive or boring for me at all. Side quests were decent and easy. Completed on normal in under nine hours real time, not game listed time. And on a final note, a lot of stuff including a certain character reminded me of Snatcher. Shadowrun (snes) also popped into my head as well while playing but more Snatcher than Shadowrun. Enjoyed the game from beginning to end.
Graphics - 9/10 (excellent)
Music/Sound - 9/10 (excellent)
Gameplay - 9/10 (excellent)
Story/Characters - 7/10 (good)
Overall - 8.5/10 (great)

Messofanego , tusken77 for the gifs, ashtaar and spineduke for the OT title past and present, More_Badass , Berzerkiymc for review collation.
A footnote:
I was toying with the idea of bringing this OT to ERA whilst waiting for my account to get approved during the exodus. However, I was a bit reluctant since this game flew under the radar and not many people was aware of it, and the thread itself was inactive for at least a few days. Yesterday, in The Hidden Gems of 2017 thread, this game was mentioned by a couple of Resettlers (I still can't get used to that word, but I digress). In the spirit of fostering our new community, I decided to bring this OT over, just as a reminder that this game exists. :-)
Finally, if your name is credited in the OT above, and has since changed after The Exodus, please let me know and I'll update the OP accordingly. :-)
Enjoy!
