Still, that was quite a while ago and Dontnod has built up a solid reputation since. Having them make something narrative-focused with a huge budget could be amazing.
That doesn't mean they wouldn't be willing to try again. The studio has a hit under their belt now, one that is arguably the best in its genre :)
It's not acceptable and even if it survives, nobody wants anything to do with it.
Sony don't give a shit about things like this, the radio silence after the stuff with Naughty Dog should give you all the clarification you need on that.

Some are saying that Sony will cut ties with QD. Consider that there is no way Sony are not 100% aware about the allegations against Rockstar Games including this little gem:

Supermassive Games is way better at doing those kind of games. They out-quantic-dreamed Quantic Dream. Just take a look at Until Dawn.
Until Dawn is amazing and way better than anything Cage has ever done. Sony should get Supermassive Games asap and fund an Until Dawn sequel as we speak.
It isn't surprising to me that David Cage has developed sexist and racist sentiments after spending so much time among humans. It won't take long until he is called back to his home planet so they can examine the data he has collected.
A workplace that actively exhibits discrimination, abuse and intolerance is very different from one that might generate resentment because of things like unpaid overtime. No boss should 'make enemies' of any of his/her employees.
And Detroit: Become Human is the third and last game in that contract.

at this point i would be surprised to hear there are studios that don't deal with the same shit we hear here.
Having said that this news is not going to make me not buy Detroid. It's on QD, Sony and whoever is involved to make a change internally. But i doubt not buying the game will help any of the people that were victims of what is described here. I doubt anyone working on the game would even want people to boycott the game because of this either.

Oh I agree. Until Dawn is one of my favorite games of all time. Instant classic and it needs a sequel. Would make a perfect anthology series.
Shit behaviour, sexism and other things will certainly happen in other big studios or have happened in the past. This isn't exactly newsworthy unless the studios just pushed it aside.
Problem in this case is the top managment participated and brushed it off.

If you reward bad behaviour then there will never be a change. The people there still got paid working on the game. Honestly it sounds like they'd be better anywhere but here.
Look at it from another point : if David Cage can keep selling game with the way he's managing his company, why would he stop or change his way ? On the other hand, if this story goes viral and has an effect on Detroit's reception/sales, you can be sure that Sony will cut some heads at the top.

While I think that the ND situation is a bit more murky I agree that Sony hasn't been the best about HR publicly. That said I think that there is more than enough reason to cut ties. Supermassive has proven that they can deliver a better quality product that is also commercially successful. Their games are also a good substitute for QD games. With the redundancy Sony has a cynical reason in addition to a moral one to cut ties. Maybe, with enough pressure that suffices for them to cut ties.
Change won't happen at QD because top management are the problem. Only thing that can happen is if Sony don't extend their exclusivity contract with QD, employees leave and the studio withers and dies.

Who's they? As in, was this a company sanctioned thing or did one employee out of the 170 do this?
I'm always a bit conflicted with these sorts of things, because as much as I think people should be reprimanded or punished, I don't much like the idea of the entire studio and all 170 employees suffering. Most of the people in this studio aren't going to be like this, and will instead be ordinary, decent people who are just working to survive, to feed mouths and family, and because video games are their passion.
Sony Music is not Sony Interactive Entertainment and vice versa.
