That's not specific to the Iphone X right? I have a note 8 and it's cut off, so I'm hoping that also means that it will be full on that screen too.
Also those skin bonuses might be a bit obnoxious, it's allowing people to gain something from a previous just cosmetic thing that costs real money. Don't know how I really feel about that. At least it doesn't effect gameplay.
I don't need to buy a new phone for a f2p moba but man that looks nice as hell

10% extra meta-game gold (not ingame gold) for paying real money for a skin seems fair to me - it's not like other mobile mobas where you get Movement Speed and shit
it basically solves my only control issue - alllowing me to easily focus down an enemy in a team fight without extra screen clutter
I wish this game was more optimised. Vainglory runs at 60 fps on my phone with beautiful visuals. AoV on the other hand struggles to keep 30 fps with lowered graphics settings. Also, AoV takes about 40-50 seconds from launching the game to get to main menu, while Vainglory gets to menu in less than 10 seconds. Because of that I play Vainglory more recently.

Yeah I have played some of the popular mobile mobas and I'm pretty sure some of them give out attack power and magic power for a bonus with a skin which is insanely P2W. I can't remember if that was Mobile Legends or Heroes Evolved. I'm not saying it's a huge problem, it's just when the game is kinda stingy with gold already it's an extreme incentive. I'm wondering if it will apply to skins you can earn from events as well, as I tend to use the Ormarr santa skin quite a bit.
The video says "iPhone 10 as well as other full screen mobile devices." I don't know what that means but I really hope it's just a setting you can enable.

yeah this is the only problem - for many heroes the default looks better than the skin. lord knows i'm not picking firefighter over merman Cresht

In japan I'm getting around 160-193 ping but in California I'm getting 193-333 ping. I tested in on a few different devices/friends houses. Did I goof on making my account in jp? I didn't think that would have mattered.

How does one go about applying for the guild?
My main focus is ranged DPS right now but I've been expanding to the Viking character since there never seems to be enough warriors, like the thread title says.

You search for the guild resetEra on the guild page. If you don't see that page yet you might need to play a few games prior to it showing up.
Does this have any pay2win mechanics? Not talking about purchasing heroes which I assume is something this also has. More like buying power up type stuff I found in some other mobile mobas.

It has 0 pay to win. The only things you can currently buy are skins (which don't provide a bonus, soon will provide gold at the end of matches not that big of a deal though), guild member number increases, and arcana pages. Arcana pages are the most game impacting thing you can buy but that is just because it's the loadout of bonus stats you give your characters similar to runes in league of legends. You get 2 pages free, which is basically 2 builds, but you can swap out the arcanas and not worry about having to buy another page if you want to change things up, it's more of a convenience thing. Arcanas can only be bought with gold though, keep in mind only T3 are worth spending gold on.

As for WW, I definitely want to try her out. It would be a cool warrior main to have in my pocket.
The arcana I've been putting my gold into is the purple Guerilla III, which gives 1% movement speed and 1% attack speed. It's great for DPS and still keeps utility for switching to a tank. It's slightly less useful for mages, but movement speed is always a huge deal for me when playing mobas.
There's an update coming next week with a lot of great changes:
- more ways to accumulate gold and unlocks
- no more daily gold cap --> moved to weekly cap
- UI changes that will mainly be noticeable for iPhone X users
- other miscellaneous stuff

yeah but it's bullshit trying to memorize those tiny icons, just look for the area with two icons for slayer.
Since it's symmetric, top and bot don't matter as much in the idea of a longer path (isn't that the case in lol?) but it does mean matchups might be skewed if people for for top or bot and not dragon/slayer. not sure what happens in high elo

Now I'm interested, will accounts carry over between the switch and mobile version?
I don't think that information has been released as of right now. I do know that there is cross play between IOS and Android but I don't think there is anything out about accounts transferring between anything.

What does their licensing look like for the DC characters in the US?
Will the license expire and the characters disappear someday?

I don't think the characters would disappear, as they are in the game already. We probably just wouldn't get more. Otherwise wouldn't older superhero games and movies stop being sold if they were made by a company that didn't hold the license anymore?

If you still owned the games you can download/play them, but they'd be unavailable to purchase digitally for new users.

Yeah I thought about that a bit after I posted that, but even then, the characters would have to be removed from ranked mode or something if they weren't available in the store anymore. I'm not really sure how it would work with free games I guess. As those games that were removed were entire games, not just side characters in a bigger roster.
It's the same in Canada. Usually 200-400 ping all the time. Their US/Canada server(s) are just bad.
