I sense there are small differences between english and japanese trailers, but can't pinpoint exactly what.

Seriously though, the game seems like casual mobile fun, with online and enogh people it should be good. I'm interested in pricing, It doesn't seem like a 60 dolar game.

t know why not, this is a game with a regular fighting game mechanic and costumes, at best I could see it as a 50 dollars game

i just wanna know about the control scheme

i will be honest, im kind of just done with fighting games that are complex in any way, like im basically at "is this as easy to play as street fighter 2 turbo" in terms of what fighting games i have any interest in

i am excited that it sounds very simplified, i wonder what it will be like

I mean, if anything positive comes from that is that Mai blushing means she is not that "fan of sexy clothing" as everyone always say as an excuse for her every less fitting for a ninja outfit

After speaking with our Online Store Team, they said that any of our preorders, including the Diamond Dream Edition, will not be charged upfront. There will be, however, a pre-authorization amount that will show on a customer's card, which will be removed from 6-10 business days.

I'm down for this. Never been great at fighting games, but I love customization in fighting games. Collecting weapons and stuff in SC2 and treasure mode in Tekken 7 kept me playing those games for quite a while. Hope there's something similar here.

thats kind of how i thought of it, which sounds pretty fun to me

anyway this sounds great to me, mostly. i wont pretend like the fact that they are advertising it partially with sexy costumes (even if its mostly to japan) brings me down, and the language in the english trailer was a bit embarrassing with how it emphasized cuteness when i mostly am just looking forward to cool women socking each other in the face, but i can get over it.

to be fair i dont have a huge attachment to any snk characters that arent from metal slug, so i would understand if others were more upset about it

I think there is a mistake in our communication somewhere.

What i started saying is that Bravely Default was a cute Super Deformed game and was usually lambasted on GAF for it. With my reply i meant that, if this game had a Gal Fighters art style it would probably suffer the same fate as BD

I loved BD and Gal Fighters, and i found this game a bit grotesque tbh.

But it seems to have inherited the wacky spirit of GF in some way, so i may pay attention to it.

Same, although if I had to guess their classic looks will be ingame, and they have several default looks if the battle start indicator is a hint.

Also a simple fighting game with a deep customization engine sounds solid to me

It could be a good experiment - there aren't really many good entry-level fighting games. A game from a talented studio in the genre with significantly simplified controls to take beginners' focus away from execution would help grow the genre. In any case, a spiritual successor to Gals Fighters is fine by me.

This past year has proven to be a goldmine for fighters but especially snk fighters on the switch, every fighter seems to sell well on it.

Oh I though you mean it was lambasted because of the shitty objectified outfit and under age characters.

Some people hate SD/Chibis ... they already have thousands of other fighting games (hell, pretty much every single active fighter right now is probably non chibi)

Hell, ideally a 3d chibi would be closer to a Nendoroid than Bravely Default but whatever works for SNK =P

This really came out of nowhere. Those trailer costumes look dumb, are they really going after Dead or Alive audience?

It says SNK but there's only KOF characters so far. Hoping to get Samurai Shodown chars at the least.

Unquestionably they are targeting horn-dogs. The cow costume is genuinely pretty gross. I know DOA did it as well, I just never expected another company to follow their example. Pretty disappointing.

I'd say we can be pretty sure about some of the other characters, given the outfit names here. So our police woman with a gun is... Love Heart? Leona has her dad's Beret? Lolita Mui Mui Bonnet? Was Suiren Academy the school Nakoruru's schoolgirl outfit was suppose to be form? And Bunny Paula's headband (which is clearly shown as time goes on) also suggest she's here, too.

I did not expect this at all, and I hope it isn't the only SNK console game we'll be seeing this year. I get jumping on the Team Battle & Customisation crazy going on lately, but I don't see it being that big of a success outside of the switch. I'm surprised at the high cost considering the recycled assets.

Still it's more practice for them to get back in the groove of making quality varied fighting games.

Yo snk is done fucking around they want that anime tiddy money and they bouts to get it. You can either lament that or be happy they found a way to fund the next KoF.

I wonder if Mai dlc sales/costume sales in DoA5 influenced this.

Welp, so much for SNK having proper women fighters.

This could have been a good way just to get all the girls crew there without all the gross sexualization.
