The leaker that that bit came from was proved to be fake.
That's fine. But it all matches up quite nicely still, right? We've heard info Of Kula presented in ways that fit to western taste, and rumbles of an NGBC sequel. And today we get a game with Kula in a different outfit on a game's cover, and trailers that are subtly edited to tell the same information to different markets. I just feel there's some truth backing up these leaks, even the ones that turn out false.
Yep, apparently you can get points and buy new voices (clips I think) for the characters. The customization actually looks pretty in depth, that's the good thing about 3d models as show by Maximum Impact 2.
Yup, even just as clips, I wonder how much that entails? As minor as picking a different line for a special move, or as major as being able to theme your character vocal lines to fit the customized effects? Either way, it's a sight more than most fighters offer, and I hope everything this game is doing, is a sign of what SNK plans to add to their future, bigger fighters.
Does this recycle artwork from the recent 3D KOF or is it all new stuff?
The simplified controls sound interesting, but I'm wary.
This is just a preview. From what we see so far, it'll probably be a lot of base stuff from KoF XIV (Basic Models, animation, etc), but with a lot of new stuff (stages, characters that haven't been in a modern SNK game, etc). And while we had a few costumes in XIV, the fact this offers customization is on a whole 'nother level.
BTW, what are the odds Enta-chan gets to be a character in this, or at least referenced through an outfit?
I hope 100%. Lets get a bunch of SNK company mascot references in there! A certain Mask and Tophat would be welcome...
Does this reveal mean the rumored game in development by SNK was this all along and not SamSho or NBGC 2? Because that would be quite unfortunate.
Nope. Considering they've already mentioned showing new KoF XIV stuff at Evo Japan, it feels like this stuff is just the tip of the iceberg for a year with some solid surprises.
Will be really disappointed if SNK doesn't have anything more for this year on PS4.
XIV'x content update is for PS4! And they've mentioned they're working on multiple projects.
